Pavel Beran is undoubtedly an athlete who needs no long introduction. This charismatic hard worker got among professional bodybuilders at the age of twenty-three during his second start in the IFBB federation.
Therefore, we dare to say that Pavel is the biggest discovery of the domestic scene and if he can hold his ownhealth, he will surely represent our small country very well on the professional scene. Now we bring you a short interview in which you will learn about his plans for the future, memories of EVLS, where he got his pro card and much more.
1. Hi Pavel, you're a great inspiration to a lot of people, but this interview will definitely reach someone who doesn't know you. How would you introduce yourself to such a person in one or two sentences?
Hi, greetings to the editorial team and all readers! My name is Pavel Beran, I am 24 years old, I know what I want and I don't take steps aside.
2. About a year ago, you mastered EVLS Prague with absolute excellence and got your professional card. It couldn't go unnoticed that you won almost all the spectators in the hall to your side. How do you remember these competitions in retrospect?
I remember EVLS very fondly, the spectators created an incredible energetic and emotionally charged atmosphere and thus etched the experience into my soul forever. For that I owe you my huge thanks! And as a token of my gratitude, I would like to start my professional career at EVLS as well, mainly because of the spectators and fans.
3. Has getting a pro card changed your life radically?
Nothing has changed radically, I would just say that I started to take it even more seriously. I know that with power comes responsibility, I have the power, so I want to be responsible.
4. What would you say to young enthusiasts who take exercise too seriously and deal with often unnecessary trivialities?
We all constantly think about what those at the imaginary top are doing differently, or what they know extra unlike us. The further I get in sports performance, the more I realize that it's all about brutaldiscipline in diet, with tremendously hard training and patience. So to address whether I can mix protein and glutamine together is really pointless. What does that imply? Don't give a sh*t and work your ass off!
5. Even as a professional bodybuilder, you compete in powerlifting. Do you enjoy pushing your limits, even at the risk of injury?
Power triathlon was a nice break from competing in my career. I used extreme performances to stimulate growth and tried to make the most of it. You never know with injuries, that's for sure, however, you can get injured getting out of the car. I took my preparation for the triathlon and the actual competition performances responsibly to avoid making a mistake and then getting injured.
6. I've never met a man who was as big-hearted as you are. Do you think bodybuilding can be done "without heart"?
You can't do anything without heart, it's hard to breathe without it! :D You have to be born with a heart, and then you just have to set it in your vagina and go.
7. I couldn't help but notice that you're in a band called Interloud. How does that go with bodybuilding? I mean, a band requires hours and hours of rehearsals, nightlife,...
Actually, we have the band with the guys as a pastime, none of us make a living from it, so everything can be corrected. It's all possible, it just sucks that I can't drink, so I always have to drive... :D
8. Can you clearly say what bodybuilding gave you, what it taught you and what it took away?
Bodybuilding has given me everything I have, and I don't mean possessions, but all the people around me and I am grateful for them! What does it take away from me? I've found out over time it's nothing. Denying myself food, alcohol, drugs, or time is not a sacrifice for me. I'm not gonna let the important things I have be taken away!
9. Do you have any specific races planned in the near future?
I would like to compete in the EVLS PRO and San Marino PRO this year. The paths, opportunities and fates are unpredictable, but this is my plan.
10. What social networks are you currently using the most? Where can our readers follow you?
I've never been much for it, I don't enjoy feeding s.networks with every bullshit, but I guess instagram suits me the most, it's pleasantly lively.
Paul's new book is on sale now:
11. Is there anything you would like to say to your fans and people who follow you and will read this interview?
Thank you all for your support, and I promise to do my best to be an inspiration, motivation and hopefully a support for you. I would like to give back to you, because order makes friends... :)
12. Thank you very much for this interesting interview. We wish you a lot of success both in bodybuilding and in your personal life. Keep doing what you are doing! You are a motivation for a lot of young guys and without a doubt you have what it takes to become the best bodybuilder in Czech history.
Thank you very much, but that's up to me. :)

Why can you trust us?
Hey! Hey! I'm Mirek and I've been working at World Fitness almost since the beginning, except for a small break. But before that I lived only in the gym for a few years, doing deadlifts and power triathlon, going to competitions and winning a few medals.
Probably the one I value the most is the national record in the WUAP federation. But besides working out, I was also interested in food and supplements, I liked to enjoy my free timeI used to read different researches and professional books in my free time to know as much as possible.
