3 tips to shorten your workout, but don't lose weight

Do you need to reduce your training time to a minimum, whether for work or personal reasons, but at the same time you want to do your best? We'll give you advice on how to do it.

Rule #1 - Shorter breaks

There's nothing easier than shortening your breaks between sets. Is there a downside? There aren't. If you opt for smaller breaks of some 45 seconds, you'll go almost unbroken in the gym and leave your workout feeling very brisk. You will see that you will leave such a workout feeling good and with a sweaty t-shirt even with a shorter workout, which is what we want. The only downside may be for those who strength train, where a longer break between sets is needed for maximum performance.

Rule #2 - Don't get distracted

Do you bring your phone to the gym with you to deal with work issues or messenger conversations? You'll have to put an end to that! If you want to get your workout done quickly and well, you'd better leave your mobile device in the locker room. If you carry your phone for music on your headphones but have a problem with distractions, get an MP3/MP4 player to solve that.

Rule #3 - Include supersets, dropsets

If you don't include supersets or dropsets in your short workout, you're making a huge mistake. By putting your splits or incline presses after your bench press instead of taking a break, you're killing 2 birds with one stone. Firstly, you'll save yourself the time you would have spent pausing for both exercises and secondly, you'll further destroy a muscle that will be on fire and begging for the workout to be over! :D

So try to link your workouts together as best you can. Put some sets in supersets, for some exercises put quick dropsets. Of course, do everything in moderation and alternate the workouts.

Now you just need to apply these rules. Try it and let us know how it goes!
