There are many sports in the world. But few are as extreme as bodybuilding. In this article I would like to introduce you to the qualities without which you will never become a good bodybuilder.
What makes bodybuilding different from the vast majority of sports is the fact that you can't just do bodybuilding for an hour and a half a day. With most sports, only the training is important. You run for an hour and a half, but then you don't worry about whether you're going to have a roll or a yogurt. But once you decide to change your physique, you have to subject your entire lifestyle to it, from sleep, to diet, to exercise.
1. Discipline
The first prerequisite for becoming a good bodybuilder is discipline. You can't say to yourself, "I'm going to give up today, have a beer, and just lay around in front of the TV." You get up in the morning and cook your eggs, even though you're sick of them. You go to the gym, even though you're tired and have a lot of work or school commitments. You buy a chicken breast even though you have a much bigger appetite for a completely different kind of food.
2. Endurance
You won't get far in this sport without endurance either. The life of a bodybuilder is the perfect picture of what a stereotype looks like. And sticking to that stereotype is definitely not easy. After all, you eat the same food every day, go to bed at the same time, and go to the same gym. I myself knew a lot of bodybuilders who were genetically gifted, but due to lack of endurance they soon quit exercising. Let's face it, not everyone can do this sport.
3. The Aftermath
The key to success is obsession. You have to be obsessed with everything you do. Set a goal and go after it until you reach it. And when you reach it, you have to set another goal, over and over again. And while the journey is not always easy, the outcome will be worth it. That's why in order to get something that will move you forward, you must first sacrifice something.
4. Sacrifice
Sacrificing a great deal of life's pleasures is therefore another prerequisite for a successful bodybuilder. You have to give up a lot of things that you love such as alcohol, sweets or even unhealthy and over-salted food in order to get one step closer to your goal. Every time you give up something, you gain something else.
5. Love
The last quality I will mention here is the most important. It is love. In short, everything you do in life must be done with your heart first and foremost. This is especially true in bodybuilding. If you don't love everything about this lifestyle and all the activities associated with it, then you will have a hard time becoming a good bodybuilder.

For some, the words contained in these lines may seem too difficult, even impossible to fulfill. But everything that a person achieves easily will not satisfy him for long. The road to what we so much desire is long, arduous and difficult, but the result will be worth it. Although many of you may not realize it, it is the journey that makes a person happy, not the destination.
