Tribulus terrestris is popularly recommended as one of the products that can boost testosterone levels in men to the maximum. But is this really the case? What effects does tribulus really have and is it good to supplement it? We will answer all these burning questions in the following article.
What is Tribulus terrestris?
Tribulus terrestris (Czech name: kotvičník zemní) is an annual herb with distinctive yellow flowers that grows practically all over the world. Since it is relatively unpretentious, it is widely cultivated in various parts of our planet, including the Czech Republic. In the wild, it is most easily found in dry places with sandy subsoil.
It has been used since ancient times in traditionalChinese and Indian medicine for various ailments. These alternative medicines apply it to increase libido, remove swellings and treat the urinary tract. Currently, it is included in many dietary supplements and homeopathics to increase testosterone.
Tribulus and testosterone | Does it really work?
Most of all, of course, we all wonder if Tribulus is really a miracle supplementsupplement that can raise testosterone levels in the blood and indirectly lead to more muscle growth and strength. But unfortunately we have to disappoint you, studies have shown that tribulus has virtually no effect on young men when it comes to increasing testosterone levels. It may have some effects on older men with declining testosterone levels, but the studies are not entirely conclusive in this case.
Thus, it may act more as a testosterone booster to help maintain testosterone levels and allall the proper functions, but it certainly doesn't help to increase it in young men. Unfortunately, tribulus also has no effect on exercise performance, increasing strength or fastermuscle growth, as many people believe and as is often presented to us by dietary supplement manufacturers. Its real effects are thus in a slightly different realm.
The real effects of anchovy
Although it might seem that anchovy is actually useless, it is not so bad after all. Regular use of Tribulus has demonstrated countless positive effects that simply cannot be ignored. Among them we can include:
- reducing fatigue
- increasing libido in both men and women
- feeling an increase in energy
- lowering blood sugar
- protection of blood vessels from cholesterol
Although Tribulus may not work so well in increasing testosterone, its positive effects are not bad at all. Especially if you suffer from a decrease in sexual desire, whether due to age or overwhelming stress, for example. On ourselves, we also noticed a slight reduction in fatigue and feeling more energetic. However, this is not fully supported by studies and may be a purely subjective feeling.
When we add to this the fact that tribulus has virtually no side effectsand usually costs no more than a few hundred, at least everyone can try it.Moreover, certainstudies also suggest a positive impact on pain relief, inflammation or the immune system. However, research on this topic is not yet fully conclusive and has so far only been conducted in laboratory conditions on animals.
Conclusion
If tribulus really had the effects it is claimed to have, every athlete would be growing it by the pound at home. Although it has no effect on testosterone levels in healthy young men, its positive effects cannot be ignored. To increase testosterone in the body, you can approach using any of the products from our comparison of the best testosterone stimulants, but even here it must be said that in young men under 30 years of age they have virtually no effect and are essentially useless.

Probably the one I value the most is the national record in the WUAP federation. But besides working out, I was also interested in food and supplements, I liked to enjoy my free timeI used to read different researches and professional books in my free time to know as much as possible.
