What are supplements like proteins and pre-workouts from Aktin? Are they worth buying?

If you've been working out for a year, you've probably come across Actin a few times. This very popular website used to (and still does) provide very high quality articles on training, diet and supplementation. But only recently has it also embarked on the supplement manufacturer track and caused a big stir. What are they? Are they worth buying? We've tried out three popular supplements for you and tell you what we and scientific studies think of them.

And if you don't feel like reading the article, you can watch the video we made for you on our SvětFitness YouTube channel.

Spoko is the perfect supplement to eliminate stress

cool actin

Spoko is a combination of valerian, lemon balm, theanine and magnesium represented in the highly usable form of bisglycinate. These ingredients are chosen because they can calm the body, relieve you of stress and help with relaxation.

As we have already hinted above, Spoko is a combination of 4 different ingredients, two of which are atThe other two are herbs and the remaining two are ingredients that have their origin in plants. Specifically in the product you will find:

  • Valerian - This herb contains compounds such as hesperidin or linarin, which have been shown to have a sedative and sleep-promoting effect. At the same time, the active compounds from valerian prevent the reduction of GABA levels, a deficiency of which is associated with anxiety and poor sleep, for example. Some sites even talk about the use of valerian for painful menstruationbut there is a lack of scientific research on the subject.
  • Lemon balm- In the case of lemon balm, there are studies that show it can reduce stress and anxiety as well as support cognitive function. But even some research suggests an effect on improving digestion, for example.
  • Theanine- For theanine, research shows that it can help reduce anxiety and stress, but perhaps also promote concentration and there is even talk of an effect on the immune system. This substance can also be used in the pre-workout period.
  • Magnesium bisglycinate - We've mentioned the importance of magnesium throughoutm separate article and it is extremely important for our body. However, glycine is essential in terms of recovery and relaxation and has been shown to improve sleep quality.

Our experience with this supplement

how good is it?
We have tried Spoko throughout our editorial team and it must be noted that we were extremely satisfied with it. Its taste is quite strange though, very sweet and reflects the slightly astringent taste of herbs (especially lemon balm). However, when used in the evening, after a few days of use we we really noticed a positive effect on relaxation, we fell asleep better and felt rested the next day. However, as with the often mentioned melatonin, we have to recommend starting with lessand only if they have no effect on you, move on to larger amounts. Using a large dose, on the other hand, can make you feel excessively tired in the morning and the supplement becomes meaningless.

The pre-workout delivers a solid pumping throughout the workout

The second product we tried was a pre-workout aptly named the Pre-workout. This is a combination of nine different substances and although in some ways it resembles the oft-mentioned and established products mentioned in, for example, our list of the best pre-workouts.

Aktin's pre-workout contains nine different substances, and while there are certainly some in terms of quantity of ingredients better supplements, Aktin doesn't just use "by eye" portions, but truly functional doses. It is therefore worth mentioning:

  • Citrulline malate - While most manufacturers rely on the classic l-citrulline, Aktin has used malate, which involves binding citrulline to malic anion. This is an energizing form of malate that actually has a logical pre-workout rationale and we praise it highly.
  • L-Ornithine - This amino acid is primarily for proper blood flow, optimizing strength and endurance. At the same time, it also helps to maintain an optimal nitrogen balance, which makes it an ideal choice before training.
  • Choline - This substance can promote concentration and learning, so it is ideal not only for athletes, but also for students.
  • Ginseng and St John's Wort - Two very useful adaptogens that can increase energy and optimize some of the biological processes. Their positive effect is not likely to be noticed at the first dose, but rather in the long run.
  • DMAE, Synephrine, Theanine and Caffeine - They serve to promote focus and even better fat burning.

Our experience with this supplement

Is it a pre-workout that really kicks?
Our experience with Kickstarter is unequivocally positive. First of all, it is worth mentioning the price, which is per dose. Compared to Agrezz or other stalwarts, this is a very pleasant price. In our editorial office, we were particularly impressed by the refreshing orange flavour, which you are guaranteed to like. Unfortunately, the Pre-workout foamed a bit during preparation, but this can be endured without any problems. We felt better concentration and good pumping during the workout. Since it doesn't contain beta alanine you won't experience any ear burning or tingling in your extremities, which might be uncomfortable for some.

Vilgain Whey Protein

Vilgain Whey Protein is a likeable whey protein that Aktin can definitely target a variety of different athletes with. It offers very solid quality at a good price and will be appreciated by both novice athletes and those who have already done some training.

The basis of this product is ultra-filtered protein - while this manufacturing process is not as high quality as CFM, it is also moreIt is usually cold-processed and therefore retains all the important components and can be described as a very high quality product overall. It is also important that no artificial sweeteners were used to sweeten the product, only steviol glycosides Vilgain is therefore a good choice for those who want to avoid artificial sweeteners. The unflavoured version is also to be appreciated, especially for those of you looking for a protein for baking.

Our experience with this supplement

the taste does not impress, but the quality is good
Like the others, we tried this supplement in our editorial office and our feelings were quite mixed. Although the protein has great usability, it is well digestible and at a price of per dose it offers very high quality. However, we were not very impressed by its taste, it looks very bland, although we have to admit that it is natural and the absence of artificial colours and flavours is really noticeable. Those of you who love all-natural proteins will probably be pleased, but for those of you who havelike dense, full-flavoured cocoa proteins, we recommend using a much smaller amount of water.
