CBD oils and similar products containing the substance have been a big trend in recent years. They promise countless health benefits, but at the same time do not contain the banned THC, which has psychoactive effects. As a result, with CBD products, a person can indulge in the best that cannabis has to offer without having to worry about how it will affect their psyche. We've written a lot about CBD oils, so today we're going to take a look at a slightly different type of hemp product.

We're talking about hemp cosmetics, which are also growing rapidly in popularity. In fact, people often talk about the amazing effects that these products provide to users. In today's article, we're going to break down hemp cosmetics a little more in depth and take a look at how they offer real effects in particular.

What is hemp cosmetics and what are the active ingredients?

If you already have some experience with hemp products, you are probably familiar with the term CBD. However, I can quickly tell you that CBD (cannabidiol) is the second most important substance in cannabis. The first one is of course THC, but this is either not present at all or only in very negligible quantities in CBD products. One could speculate at length about the effects of CBD, but there are still few reliable studies. However, current scientific evidence suggests that CBD helps relieve pain, promotes sleep, canfight anxiety and reduce oxidative stress levels (see the above article for links to scientific studies).

Like hemp oils, CBD cosmetics are primarily based on their CBD content. It is made using hemp oil, which is created by pressing hemp seeds. This prevents the skin from drying out and reduces the risk of acne. In addition, hemp oil contains gamma-linolenic acid, which is an anti-inflammatory, which also helps in the fight against acne. Studies even suggest that hemp oil helps treat atopic excema and improves skin quality. Hemp ointment is also often recommended for joint problems (arthritis and rheumatic pain). It is also said to be good for wrinkles as it is anti-inflammatory.

Who is hemp cosmetics suitable for?

In view of the previous paragraph, it can be concluded that hemp cosmetics have a place in the home for someoneanyone who suffers from skin problems, painful joints, hemorrhoids or other inflammatory diseases. The same goes for people with poor hair quality, rough skin or frequent migraines. Of course, it cannot be said that hemp cosmetics will affect everyone in the same way, and it is certainly not a one-size-fits-all panacea. However, if you are suffering from acne, for example, and no acne treatment is helping you. products you normally use, it's not a bad idea to give hemp cosmetics a chance.

Who should avoid hemp cosmetics?

At the same time, it is worth noting that for certain groups of people, hemp cosmetics may not be the best choice. First and foremost, of course, are pregnant and breastfeeding women. Very little is known about the effect of CBD and other cannabinoids on children, but given their effect on the centres ofthe central nervous system, it can be assumed that they can adversely affect the development of newborns and infants. People suffering from low blood pressure should also avoid cannabis cosmetics as CBD can cause low blood pressure. Those on long-term medication or suffering from liver disease should consult their doctor about the use of these products.

What hemp cosmetics are recommended?

There are a large number of cosmetic products containing cannabis. The most common ones are hemp ointments, oils, massage and body gels, soothing creams and so on. There are no limits to the imagination, so it's no problem to come across hemp toothpaste or lip balm. So which product to choose? The answer to this question varies, of course, depending on what is bothering you. But most often you won't go wrong with hemp oil or hemp ointment, which have an extremely wide range of uses.

There are also a large number of different manufacturers to choose from. Many of them come directly from the Czech Republic and can boast of the truly high quality of their products. This is especially true for hemp oil. You will know that CBD oils are often taken orally in the form of drops. This can be due to sleep problems, stress and so on. But if you are troubled by a skin rash, for example, it is also possible to apply it directly to the affected area.

Of course, before using it, make sure you read the information on the packaging and the manufacturer's recommendations thoroughly. What is our experience with cannabis cosmetics?

Hemp cosmetics are a very good choice for people with sensitive and problematic skin. Although we were initially quite sceptical about it, it is actually very gentle and has a range of benefits. Not to mention that you can nowadays find hemp cosmetics for almost all parts of the body. We were very impressed with the hemp shampoo, which is especially great for dry hair, as well as the cream and hemp ointment mentioned below. The use of rosemary oil, for example, is good, as it gives a very pleasant scent to shampoos or ointments.

Although hemp cosmetics are made from hemp, you certainly don't have to worry about the fact thatthat it might be something illegal or that it might have some psychoactive effects on you. THC is only present in minimal amounts. As a result, it offers all the possible positives that are associated with cannabis. While the list of these health benefits is quite extensive, they should be taken with a bit of a grain of salt, as there are currently not enough scientific studies to reliably confirm or refute them.
