What is CBD?
CBD stands for a substance called cannabidiol. It is the second most important substance in all of cannabis, after the well-known (and illegal) THC. But while THC is psychoactive and can induce feelings of euphoria or a good mood, CBD is completely non-psychoactive and therefore also legal and widely available. Nevertheless, the cannabinoids, of which there are up to 90 in cannabis, have a somewhat synergistic effect and you should therefore be aware of theWhen choosing a product, bear in mind that supplements containing the full spectrum of cannabinoids are better than isolated CBD.
Where did it come from?
It is important to say that the effects of cannabis have been known since the 3rd century. It is said to have been brewed regularly to relieve pain. In any case, it must be said in the same breath that it was a radically different plant then. As time went on, marijuana began to be abused, and as this happened, it became desirable to increase the THC content and decrease the amount of CBD, which can counteract some of these effects. So today, specially bred varieties of cannabis can have up to 30% THC content, although decades ago it was demonstrably less.
What are the proven effects of CBD?
If you have ever read various commercial articles, you will have noticed that many manufacturers will tell you thatthat CBD is an absolute miracle that you can use for everything from acne to treating inflammatory processes. And here it's important to say that although many scientific studies look promising, CBD still requires further testing. In fact, a whole host of scientifically proven positive effects have been observed either in animals or in patients with very specific problems. While it's great that positive effects of CBD have been observed on them, that doesn't mean that a healthy person will experience the same effect. For example, studies conducted have found the following:

However, since the latter is banned in our country, the result of such research is irrelevant to us. So what does this mean? Well, nothing so far. But it looks very promising. Indeed, the research conducted suggests that CBD may (or may not) bring many positive effects to ordinary people. Unfortunately, we'll have to wait a while for these results. Already it seems that CBD may be able to support some people's treatment of acne, and dozens more studies are underway.
Own experience with CBD
Our own experience with CBD is quite extensive and we have tested this supplement quite extensively in our editorial office. For example, my colleague Michal took charge of a review of cheap CBD from Bulk Powders - and as you might expect, there was no effect. But those of us who have tried quality CBD with the full spectrum of cannabinoids and ideally added terpenes for maximum effect have experienced a few effects. How to use CBD oil?
I personally recommend taking CBD oil in the evening or late afternoon after work, when CBD oil will help you relax beautifully. Just drip the desired amount under your tongue, hold it there for one minute and then swallow.
Specifically, if we take a product containing 10% CBD, then in one drop you will find 4 mg of CBD. However, there are various CBD oils and drops on the market, so here is the approximate amount of CBD in one drop.

What to look out for when choosing drops?
Cannabis contains a truly broad spectrum of potentially active substances. In addition to the well-known CBD and THC pair, CBDA, CBG, CBC, CBN and others should also be considered. So when choosing CBD oil, pay attention to how many similar substances the product contains. The more there are, the better. The concentration of the product should not escape your attention. We'll cover this factor in detail in a moment, but at this point I should at least mention that the stronger the concentrate is, the more CBD is logically present in it. This is also why products with more CBD percentage are much more expensive than less concentrated versions. This should also be kept in mind because price is also a factor to consider when buying. CBD oils are generally not among the cheapest dietary supplements and can get quite expensive.
The last variable that you should look at when choosing CBD oil is the extraction method. Always look for products made using supercritical CO2 extraction, which is the most gentle and is used to produce all quality CBD oils.
What types of extracts can be distinguished?
So let's take a closer look at what substances CBD oil may contain. For this purpose, CBD oils are divided into three groups: isolates, broad spectrum oils and full spectrum oils. As I wrote above, to get the best effects, it is necessary toIt is important to choose oils that contain as many other cannabinoids, terpenes and other substances as possible. Full spectrum oils are therefore the best choice. You won't go wrong with a broad-spectrum oil, which, while it doesn't contain all the cannabinoid compounds, does contain plenty of other cannabinoids. Unlike full spectrum oils, however, they don't even contain trace amounts of THC, which can be quite crucial for some people. The last category is isolates, oils containing only pure CBD chemically purified from other substances. Of course, as the amount of active ingredients decreases or increases, so does the yield ofthe price of the product, so full spectrum oils are generally more expensive than CBD isolates.
And why is the presence of other substances in the oil so important? Because all these substances can work together to create what is known as a synergistic effect. Simply put, the more substances the oil contains, the stronger the resulting effect.
What role does concentration play? Is there a difference between 5% and 30% content?
You may have noticed that CBD oils are available in many different concentrations. They are usually around 5-10%, but it's not uncommon to come across stronger variants. What concentration is best? There's no universal answer to this question,as the ideal concentration depends a lot on the dose you prefer. But as you already know, there is no universal daily dose of CBD. Each of us is different and will suit something a little different. If you know that you can get by with just a few mg of CBD a day, 5% CBD oil will be plenty for you. But if you're taking much larger doses, you'll want to look for an oil with a concentration of 15% or more.
Ultimately, your daily dose of CBD may not even depend on how strong of an oil you use. You can always adjust your dosage to suit your needs. The only problem is that if you choose the wrong concentration, the oil will either only last for a few days, becauseor you will store it at home for too long, because one drop is enough. Choosing the right concentration is therefore ultimately a matter of convenience. If you're not sure what concentration to choose, start at 5% or 10% and gradually test to see how high a daily dose suits you.
