13 best isolates based on testing

1. Amix Isoprime CFM

Amix Isoprime CFM

The first place in our ranking of the best isolates was taken by Amix Isoprime CFM. It impressed us mainly due to its high protein content and the presence of digestive enzymes that support the already good digestibility of this protein. Of course, it is produced using the CFM method, which guarantees maximum purity and quality of the protein.

Benefits:

  • Up to 31.5 grams of protein per serving
  • 12 flavours to choose from
  • Contains DigeZyme digestive enzymes
  • Great taste and solubility

Disadvantages:

  • Contains acesulfame K

Who makes it:
Amix Nutrition is the flagship company of LargeLife Limited and has been in the sports nutrition market for quite a few years. The high quality of its products is mainly due to a combination of the latest technologiesand years of research and monitoring of current trends in the sports nutrition field. Amix Nutrition offers everything from proteins to joint nutrition and CBD oils.

In one serving (35 grams) you will find:
  • 31.5 grams of protein (30.5 grams for chocolate flavours)

  • 0.6 g of carbohydrates

  • 0.6 g fat

  • 52.5 mg DigeZyme digestive enzymes

Each scoop of Amix Isoprime CFM contains over 30 grams of protein, which is a hefty load. Plus, it only contains 0.6 grams of carbs and the same amount of fat. If we wanted to be really nitpicky, we could argue that many competing manufacturers have managed the amount of of fat in a single scoop, but even the existing 0.6 grams is perfectly fine in my opinion. We have to praise the presence of DigeZyme digestive enzymes, which we also have a lot of experience with from other products. They work perfectly and guarantee you a really smooth digestion. If we really wanted to criticise Isoprime, it would be the use of the sweetener acesulfame K, which is somewhat controversial for its potentially toxic effects. On the other hand, it should be pointed out that there is no convincing evidence that this substance actuallyis in any way harmful in commonly used quantities, and its use is widespread.

Final assessment:
Isoprime CFM from Amix is a really good isolate that has a surprisingly good composition.Of course, you have to pay extra for the quality, but I still think the resulting value for money is absolutely great. Although I am not a fan of Amix and its products often don't suit me very well, this timeI have to admit that they definitely deserve the top spot on our list. I can highly recommend Isoprime CFM to anyone looking for a truly high quality isolate with minimal carbs and high protein. Moreover, it is available in up to 12 flavours, from which everyone can choose.

2. Vilgain Clear Whey Isolate

Vilgain Clear Whey Isolate

If you want a product that delivers all the benefits of a classic whey protein, but with the look and tasteIt will look like a fruity lemonade, you should definitely try Clear Whey Isolate, which is backed by Vilgain. It is sweetened with stevia, contains more than 85% protein and thanks to high-tech processesThey've managed to turn this high quality Dutch whey into this amazing protein without any hint of dairy taste.

Benefits:

  • Great non-dairy taste
  • Minimal foaming and easy solubility
  • Minimal carbohydrates and fat
  • More than 85% protein
  • Sweetened with a steviol-glycoside based sweetener

Disadvantages:

  • High price
  • Unlike competitors, it does not have extra digestive enzymes, for example

Who makes it:
The well-known company behind this product is Vilgain, whose products we have featured in more detail in ourOur comparison of the best joint nutrition products or our ranking of the best whey proteins. However, there is much more to their repertoire and you can find it on the Aktin websiteyou can buy clothing, cosmetics and a range of interesting health foods from the brand.

In one serving (20 grams) you will find:
  • 17.1 grams of protein
  • 0.3 grams of carbohydrates
  • 0.02 grams of fat

When it comes to the composition of this product, we have nothing to complain about. Protein represents over 85% of the product, which is enough even for the isolate proportions, a sweetener based on steviol-glycosides was used to sweeten and beta-carotenes were used for colouring. Silica was used as a defoamer, which is based on an independentThe product is also very interesting in terms of taste. Despite the fact that it is a whey protein, it tastes more likeand there is absolutely no trace of milk in the taste. So it's a very unconventional and refreshing product for all of you who want to try something new.

Final review:
If not for the high price, this product would definitely aspire to be the best isolate ever on the market. Unfortunately, we can't ignore the fact that you pay for a half-kilogram pack and one 20-gram dose costs almost . If you would like to take the classic 30 grams of protein, it will cost even more. But if price is not a barrier for you, this product is definitely worth a try. It's high quality, has a great formula and tastes amazing, so you can spenda nice change from the classic dairy protein after a workout or during the day.

3. Reflex Micro Whey

Reflex Micro Whey

The next place was taken by Micro Whey Native protein from Reflex. Unlike most other proteins, Micro Whey Native is made from fresh and uncooked milk. Thanks to this, it contains a high ratio of bioactive fractions that are sensitive to higher temperatures. To make matters worse, it contains DigeZyme digestive enzymes and LactoSpore probiotic culture for the best possible digestion.

Benefits:

  • Up to 26.4 g of protein per serving
  • Contains DigeZyme digestive enzymes and LactoSpore probiotic culture
  • Made from fresh milk
  • Premium quality

Disadvantages:

  • Contains acesulfame K

Who makes it:
Reflex is behind some of the highest quality supplements on the market. For example, such Reflex Nexgen PRO is the absolute top of the line among multivitamins. Since its inception in 1996, the company has prided itself on the premium quality of its products. For this reason, it invests a great deal of money in research and subjects all its products to independent quality tests. It is also impressive that Reflex uses electricity only from renewable sources and also recycles all the plastic waste generated during production.

IN ONE SERVING (30 grams) YOU WILL FIND:
  • 26.4 grams of protein

  • 0.6 g of carbohydrates

  • 0.1 g fat

  • 50 mg DigeZyme digestive enzymes

  • 50 million CFU LactoSpore

Reflex products are essentially synonymous with quality, and this time is no different. Each scoop of Micro Whey Native packs a commendable 26g of protein combined with a bare minimum of carbohydrates and fat. Thanks to its production from fresh milk, it also contains a high ratio of serum albumin, which is degraded at higher temperatures and an exceptionally high content of the amino acids L-leucine and cysteine. The only negative is, as with Amix's Isoprime, the use of the sweetener acesulfame K, which although not proven to be harmful, is still quite controversial.

Final assessment:
Reflex did not let us down again and its Micro Whey Native is a premium isolate that clearly deserves its high ranking. In addition to the high protein content, I have to highlight the digestive enzyme content and the digestion-promoting probiotic cultures. Price-wise, you will have to pay a little extra, but with the best quality products, this is no surprise. Ultimately, Reflex Micro Whey Native earns a very positive rating from us.

If you're intrigued by this product, be sure to read its separate review, in which we take a much more in-depth look at it.

4. ENJOY Protein Isolate

ENJOY Protein Isolate

Enjoy is a protein that was created by the Czech fitness star Jakub Enžl together with the GymBeam brand. And the result is truly surprising - a delicious isolate that with 82% protein, low sugar and fat content and a blend of DigeZyme digestive enzymes. And when you combine that with a great price/quality ratio, you get one of the best isolates on the market.

Benefits:

  • 82% protein content
  • Very good composition
  • Pleasant price
  • Contains DigeZyme digestive enzymes

Disadvantages:

  • Only one flavor available

Who makes it:
This protein is made by GymBeam in collaboration with bodybuilder Jakub Enzl. Gymbeam has been around since 2013 and in that time has managed to introduce a number of interesting products to the market. Today, in addition to sports nutrition, it also produces a range of clothing and accessories for exercise. On our website, you might have come across the company's products, for example, in our comparison of the best pre-workouts or in our review of the Thor Vitargo.

In one serving (25 grams) you will find:
  • 20.5 grams of protein
  • 0.9 g of carbohydrates
  • 0.4 g fat
  • 83 mg DigeZyme digestive enzymes

Although this protein is only available in a single variant, it offers a great composition in which 82% of the protein appears. However, in addition to these, it has a relatively high digestive enzyme content, is sweetened with a combination of sucralose and steviol glycosides, and also contains cinnamon. A possible drawback for some may be the unspecified flavouring and the fact that ammonia caramel has been used for colouring. however, these are details that do not prevent us from ranking this product at the top of our comparison of the best isolates. Especially since it has a really great taste, which reflects both chocolate and slight hints of cinnamon. It's easy to prepare, it doesn't foam or lump and you might even look forward to it after your workout. The only problem we see is that it may be slightly too sweet for some people, but that's something you have to count on with most proteins.

Final assessment:

If you are thinking about buying a relatively affordable isolate that will offer good ingredients, great taste and a nice price, Enjoy Protein Isolate is definitely a good choice. Unfortunately, you'll have to accept that it's only available in a cocoa brownie variant, which is delicious (betterbetter than GymBeam's classic chocolate protein), it may not be the ideal choice for everyone.

5. Prom-IN CFM Isoclear

Prom-IN CFM Isoclear

The next in the ranking was the CFM Isoclear protein from Prom-IN. It attracted us mainly by its very good price/quality ratio, as it has a very high quality composition, but at the same time its purchase price is surprisingly low. For this reason, it can be a great choice for someone looking for a quality isolate that won't cost too much money.

Pros:

  • 24 g of protein per serving
  • No artificial colours or sweeteners
  • Great value for money

Disadvantages:

  • Only 2 flavours available

Who makes it:
Prom-IN certainly needs no introduction. It's a long-standing fixture on the Czech market that has won countless fans thanks to the high quality of its products combined with a very affordable price. In our ranking of the best proteins, Prom-IN also did very well - its CFM Evolution took the first position. In addition to proteins, Prom-IN also has all other important supplements in its repertoire.

In ONE SERVING (30 grams) you will find:
  • 24 grams of protein

  • 0.4 g fat

  • 1.1 g of carbohydrates

  • 0.7 g of fibre

The 24 g of protein per scoop is commendable, although it's true that some competing products offer a bit more. Overall, CFM Isoclear is really solid in terms of composition, but it doesn't particularly stand out when compared to the proteins at the very top of the rankings. It doesn't contain any digestive enzymes or added vitamins and minerals. But that doesn't detract from its quality, which is well above average.

Final assessment:
Compared to previous products at the top of the rankings, it may seem that we haven't praised CFM Isoclear much. It's certainly not that it's not of sufficient quality. Its formulation is simply not as interesting as the previous two. The reason for this is of course the price, which is quite low, which makes CFM Isoclear a very affordable isolate with an extremely good price/quality ratio. Therefore, it is a clear choice for anyone who is not necessarily looking for a protein with the most amazing compositionm on the market, but makes do with proven quality that won't disappoint and on which he won't spend too much money.

6. Extrifit CFM90 Instant Whey Isolate

Extrifit CFM90 Instant Whey Isolate

CFM90 Instant Whey Isolate from Extrifit takes the proverbial potato medal from our ranking of the best isolates. Its strengths include high protein content, no artificial colours or sweeteners and minimal fat and carbohydrate content.

Benefits:

  • 25.8 g of protein per serving
  • Only 0.3 g of fat per serving
  • Contains added bromelain and papain

Disadvantages:

  • Only 2 flavors available

Who makes it:
Extrifit is one of the largest manufacturers of sports supplements in the country. If you love hard workouts in the gym, you'll have some experience with this brand too. Extrifit makes their products to suit the biggest of hard workers who have really high demands on their bodies. Therefore, you can be sure that all Extrifit products have the highest quality.

IN ONE SERVING (30 grams) YOU WILL FIND:
  • 25.8 grams of protein

  • 0.3 g fat

  • 0.54 g of carbohydrates

Extrifit brand isolate boasts a perfect ratio of protein to fat and carbohydrates. Personally, I really like the absence of artificial sweeteners, which we otherwise often encounter. Not to be overlooked is the content of 7 enzymes that support digestion (papain, alpha amylase, bromelain, lactatecellulase, neutral protease and lipase) that elevate the product to an even higher level.

Final assessment:
CFM90 Instant Whey Isolate from Extrifit surprised me very pleasantly and I can therefore highly recommend it. The problem I see, however, is that it is priced at the same level as the first two products we found.our ranking, but they have a slightly better composition. Therefore, the question is whether this isolate will particularly attract you and make you buy it. I also see a potential problem in the fact that it is only available in two flavours. Chocolate and vanilla are admittedly safe bets, but I firmly believe that many athletes are getting a bit sick of them.

7. Titánus Whey Isolate 90

Titánus Whey Isolate 90

The next place belongs to Whey Isolate protein from Titanus. Most fitness enthusiasts will immediately associate it with Aleš Lamka, a well-known Czech bodybuilder and personal trainer. The isolate from Titánus impressed us especially with its great composition and the content of added minerals and vitamin B6.

Benefits:

  • 25.7 g of protein per serving
  • Presence of added minerals
  • High-quality composition and transparent amino acid content

Disadvantages:

  • Contains acesulfame K
  • Really high price

Who makes it:
Titanus has been in the sports nutrition market since 2014. The brand's goal was to provide athletes with a range that would completely cover their needs. After some time, the company teamed up with the then still almost unknown Ales Lamka, who is the face of the brand to this day. Titanus products are nothing new to us - you may have already come across them several times in our comparisons.

In ONE DOSE (30 grams) you will find:
  • 25.7 grams of protein

  • 1.9 g of carbohydrates

  • 0.4 g fat

  • 0.42 mg of vitamin B6

  • 85.2 mg calcium

In addition to the high protein content, the presence of vitamin B6, magnesium, potassium and calcium are also among the advantages of Whey Isolate by Titanus. Added minerals are always a big plus, on the other hand, it should be noted that their content in this case is certainly not dizzying. The minor drawback I see is the relatively high carbohydrate content (compared to other isolates). At the same time, I must again point out the presence of acesulfame K, which certainly does not add to the good impression. Otherwise, however, I have to evaluate the composition of Whey Isolate very positively.

Final assessment:
Titánus has served us a really good isolate, which could easily be placed in a much higher position if it did not have one rather significant disadvantage. That is the price. One scoop of Whey Isolate will cost you the most out of all the proteins in the ranking, which definitely has to be reflected in our rating. However, if you don't mind the high price, Whey Isolate has a lot to offer.

8. Nutrend ISO Whey Prozero

Nutrend ISO Whey Prozero

Right in the middle of our ranking is Iso Whey Prozero from Nutrend. What made it stand out for us? First of all, its favourable price and the content of digestive enzymes in combination with added vitamin B6. Its great advantage is also its great taste, which will undoubtedly attract a large number of customers.

Advantages:

  • Convenient price
  • DigeZyme digestive enzyme content
  • Great taste

Disadvantages:

  • Relatively low protein content

Who makes it:
Nutrend is one of the proven stalwarts in the Czech sports supplement market. The brand was a partner of the Czech Olympic Team for a reason. It puts all its products through rigorous testing to guarantee their quality. Today, you can find Nutrend products in 60 countries around the world and their popularity is growing.

In ONE SERVING (25 grams) you will find:
  • 21 grams of protein

  • 1.3 g of carbohydrates

  • 0.5 g fat

  • 14 mg DigeZyme digestive enzymes

  • 0.21 mg vitamin B6

Compared to other products, it is impossible not to notice that Iso Whey Prozero contains relatively little protein and on the other hand quite a lot of carbohydrates. On the other hand, we must praise the presence of digestive enzymes, although even these are not found here in the greatest number. In short, the low price of the product is reflected in the entire composition. Despite this, the protein is free of artificial colours or sweeteners, which I definitely consider a big plus.

Final assessment:
Iso Whey Prozero is for someone who prefers a lower price over maximum possible quality. It is definitely not a bad or low quality product, but it is obvious at first glance that it simply cannot compete with the best isolates. That doesn't mean it won't find its fans. You won't find an isolate containing digestive enzymes at this price anywhere.

9. Big Zone Protein Juice

Big Zone Protein Juice

The next place was taken by Protein Juice from BigZone. It is already clear from the name that this protein is quite different from the others. Instead of the usual chocolate flavours, the taste of this protein ischocolate, strawberry, vanilla, cookies and so on, it resembles rather fresh fruit drinks. This is also due to the somewhat specific consistency, which is also reflected in the protein's not very good solubility.

Advantages:

  • 25 g of protein per serving
  • Contains almost no fat and a bare minimum of carbohydrates
  • No artificial sweeteners or colours

Disadvantages:

  • Relatively high price
  • May not suit everyone

Who makes it:
German brand BigZone has won the hearts of many athletes with its high-quality dietary supplements. It is known for its rigorous batch-by-batch control of its productsso that the end customer can be sure to get their hands on the highest quality product every time. The company's flagship product is the Battle Whey protein, which has received positive feedback everywhere and we have shone a light on it in a separate review.

In ONE SERVING (30 grams) you will find:
  • 25 grams of protein

  • 0.66 g of carbohydrates

  • 0.2 g fat

In terms of composition, we must clearly praise the high protein content and at the same time the absolutely minimal fat content and very low carbohydrate content. Unfortunately, however, there is nothing here that would somehow elevate Protein Juice to a higher level. The quality of the protein itself is great in my opinion, but for example some of the added nutrientsdigestive enzymes would have helped it compete with the products at the top of the rankings.

Final assessment:
Protein Juice from BigZone is a truly original protein that will impress many people, but on the other hand it will not suit some people at all. This is simply the risk a manufacturer takes when it decides to enter the market with something similar. Of course, this aspect is very individual, so it is difficult to reflect it objectively in the final evaluation. Personally, I have to say that although I like to enjoy Protein Juice once in a while, I would not be able to drink it day after day. That combined with the relatively high price means a relatively low ranking for an isolate with a similar composition. However, it's possible that it will suit you much better and rank much higher on your imaginary ranking of the best isolates.

10. Impact Whey Isolate

Impact Whey Isolate

Next in the order is Impact Whey Isolate from MyProtein. It relies mainly on a very pleasant price combined with a very solid composition. We also like the large range of flavours available, as the taste of protein is crucial for many people. How does it compare to the competition?

Pros:

  • Very competitive price
  • Only 0.1 g of fat per serving
  • No artificial sweeteners or colours

Disadvantages:

  • Low protein content compared to competitors

Who makes it:
MyProtein is a brand known worldwide. You can come across it in more than 70 countries, which is a good proof that it is definitely not a second-rate manufacturer. MyProtein products mostly fall into the lower price category, but they still maintain their consistent quality. The low price stems from the fact that MyProtein invests a lot of money in automating the production ofproduction, which in turn translates into reduced production costs.

IN ONE SERVING (25 grams) YOU WILL FIND:
  • 22 grams of protein

  • 0.1 g fat

  • 0.6 g of carbohydrates

  • 0.2 g of fibre

Compared to the best isolates on the market, Impact Whey Isolate contains relatively little protein, and that definitely doesn't play into its hands. On the other hand, it contains only 0.1g of fat and 0.6g of carbs, which is really the bare minimum. When we add 0.2 g of fibre, we get to the fact that the composition as such is definitely not disappointing. It is true, however, that a slightly higher protein content would have been welcome.

Final assessment:
With supplements that rely primarily on an affordable price, we are often used to really poor ingredients and poor quality. This is fortunately not the case with Impact Whey Isolate, which is a combination of affordable price and solid composition. The protein content is quite low, but otherwise we have nothing to complain about in principle. So if you're looking for a cheap isolate for your diet, you've found your favourite.

11. Dymatize Iso 100

Dymatize Iso 100

The next place was taken by Iso 100 Hydrolyzed Whey Protein Isolate from Dymatize. It is not a pure isolate, but a mixture of isolate and hydrolysate. Its big advantage is its surprisingly good taste, which is not often seen in combinations of hydra and isolate. Moreover, it contains a good dose of protein, which is an absolute essential.

Advantages:

  • Up to 25 g of protein per serving
  • Great taste
  • Wide range of flavours

Disadvantages:

  • High price

Who makes it:
American brand Dymatize specializes in making premium proteins. While their offerings are not as wide as most other manufacturers, they are built on a very high quality foundation. The company's goal is clear: to produce high-quality, artificial-free proteins that take your workout to the next level. Although Dymatize primarily targets proteins of all kinds, you'll also find high-quality amino acids in their lineup.

IN ONE SERVING (30 grams) YOU WILL FIND:
  • 25 grams of protein

  • 0.2 g fat

  • 2.1 g of carbohydrates

The high protein content is of course the main reason why one buys protein. In this respect, the isolate from Dymatize meets the requirements perfectly. Overall, the composition is very solid, but we would have liked a little less carbohydrates. We must praise the absence of artificial colours, which never add to the quality of the product. In the end, we have to rate the composition positively.

Final assessment:
The main reason why Iso 100 Hydrolyzed Whey Protein Isolate does not rank higher is its exorbitant price. There is only one more expensive protein in the entire ranking (Titanus), which but in addition to its high protein content, it also offers added minerals and vitamin B6. Naturally, such a high price must be reflected in the overall ranking. On the other hand, we have to admit that Dymatize's isolate really surprised us in terms of taste. However, I would be lying if I said that you can't get a better protein for a lower price.

12. Biotech USA Iso Whey Zero

Biotech USA Iso Whey Zero

The penultimate place was taken by Iso Whey Zero from BioTechUSA. It belongs to the category of cheaper proteins, which is largely reflected in its composition. Its strengths include mainly its excellent taste and the aforementioned low price. However, this does not mean that it has nothing to offer in terms of quality - it is perfectly digestible.

Advantages:

  • Very affordable price
  • Perfect taste and wide range of flavours
  • Seamless digestibility

Disadvantages:

  • Relatively low protein content
  • Contains controversial dyes

Who makes it:
Surprising to many people, BioTechUSA is not actually based in the United States, but comes from Hungary. Its products are great value for money and very often taste great too. There is really something for everyone in the BioTechUSA range, as they offer just about every possible supplement in several flavours.

In ONE SERVING (25 grams) you will find:
  • 21 grams of protein

  • < 0.5 g fat

  • 1.3 g of carbohydrates

What bothers me about BioTechUSA products is that they often contain some controversial ingredient that other manufacturers avoid in an arch way. In this case, the dyes are allura red, tartrazine and indigotin. While it is true that they are harmful only in larger quantities, their presence in a product I consume on a daily basis simply bothers me. This isn't the first and probably won't be the last time this company adds such substances to their supplements, and it's certainly not something to be overlooked. Other than reservations about inappropriate dyes, however, we have nothing to complain about. The protein content could be higher, but we probably shouldn't expect any miracles with an isolate of similar price.

Final assessment:
Iso Whey Zero is the cheapest product in our ranking, which is of course a big plus. It also has a great taste and a wide range of flavours. However, there are also quite a few disadvantages associated with this isolate. Of course, not everyone has to be bothered by the controversial dyes mentioned above, as their negative effects are associated with their consumption to a much greater extent than they are found in protein. Given the low price, it is therefore a great choice for students, for example.

We have looked at BioTechUSA Iso Whey Zero in detail in a separate review.

13. Scitec 100% Whey Isolate

Scitec 100% Whey Isolate

Our ranking of the best isolates is rounded off by Scitec's 100% Whey Isolate. We were particularly impressed by its low price and very good solubility. Of course, it is processed using the CFM method and also contains added sodium and potassium. Similarly to BioTechUSA's isolate, it is an ideal choice especiallym for students or athletes looking for a decent isolate at the lowest possible price.

Benefits:

  • Low price
  • Excellent solubility
  • Added sodium and potassium

Disadvantages:

  • Total low protein content

Who makes it:
Scitec Nutrition is one of the top sports nutrition companies in Europe. It is especially famous for its proteins, which it sells in record quantities. For this reason, it tests its whey proteins extensively to ensure the highest possible quality of its products to the end customer. But it doesn't stop with proteins - the company also offers BCAAs, minerals, vitamins, burners or pre-workouts.

IN ONE SERVING (25 grams) YOU WILL FIND:
  • 20 grams of protein

  • 1 gram of fat

  • 2 g of carbohydrates

100% Whey Isolate contains relatively little protein for my taste. Given the low price, it is still within acceptable levels, but the difference with the products at the top of our ranking is quite noticeable. We can't close our eyes to the presence of acesulfame K either, although it's true that we've pointed it out in many other products as well. The added minerals are a welcome plus, but the amount is not very high.

Final assessment:
Scitec 100% Whey Isolate is a solid isolate for anyone who doesn't want to spend too much on supplements and will settle for a slightly lower quality. The price is very nice and the final price/quality ratio is also very decent. But it is true that if you are looking for the highest quality, this protein will not be for you.

What is whey protein?

The most popular supplement of all is undoubtedly whey protein. You'll come across it in absolutely every gym and for many athletes it's the very first dietary supplement they have any experience with. Whey is produced as a by-product of dairy production, which is why it was long considered a mere waste substance. Thanks to modern technology, however, we can process it efficiently and make it into a first-class food supplement. Whey proteins have a high protein content, a wide range of amino acids and are very gooddigestible, making it an invaluable aid in any type of training. Therefore, the benefits of protein have long been used by athletes of all kinds in addition to people in the gym. But whey is not the only source of protein used in protein production. You can also find soy, pea, egg or hemp protein, for example. In terms of usability and quality, whey protein is still the best option.

What makes an isolate specific?

Protein isolate, often referred to as WPI (Whey Protein Isolate), is one of three types of whey protein you may encounter. It is characterized by 80-90% protein content, perfect digestibility and very low fat and carbohydrate content. The downside may be its inferior taste, which requires the addition of artificial sweeteners and flavorings. The higher quality of the protein is of course reflected in the higher price. In addition to isolate, you can find protein concentrate (60-80% protein content) and proteinm hydrolysate, which is considered to be the purest variant of whey protein.

How is isolate made?

There are several methods by which whey protein is processed. These methods determine the quality and usability of the protein contained. Outdated methods often degrade the protein and thus irreversibly reduce its quality. The most environmentally friendly and therefore the best method is to process the protein using the cross-filtration process known as CFM. During this process, the protein is not exposed to high temperatures or any chemical powders that could damage it. So when choosing a whey protein, always ensure that it is prepared using the CFM method.

What are the benefits of whey isolate?

Whey protein is a great source of quality protein. It promotes muscle growth and helps accelerate the regeneration of damaged muscle fibres. Thanks to its fast digestibility, it works well especially after training, when taking whiteprotein from a normal diet would be much more difficult and would take significantly longer to digest. Protein can be used both in the bulking phase and in the diet. Protein helps to fill you up and thus minimise hunger or cravings for sweets. If we're going to talk about the benefits associated with whey isolate alone, we have to go back to the quick digestibility. Due to its purer composition, the isolate is digested faster than the classic concentrate. In addition, it contains a minimum of lactose, which is especially appreciated by people with milk sugar intolerance.

Who is whey isolate suitable for?

Due to its low fat and carbohydrate content, the isolate is perfect for athletes' diets. But that doesn't mean you can't get the most out of it even during normal training. The high protein content means maximising muscle building, which you'll undoubtedly welcome at any stage of your training. But it has to be said that isolate is a matter of concern for more experienced athleteswho keep a close eye on their diet and have clear goals to achieve. This is mainly due to the higher price, which for beginners or recreationalFor the more novice athlete, the extra money spent on concentrate is unnecessary. But isolate can also be a good choice for people who have digestive problems after a classic concentrate. In this case, a cleaner formula could help prevent similar problems, but this is definitely not the case for everyone.

When and how to use whey isolate?

In terms of dosage, the isolate does not differ from the classical concentrate. The best time for protein is of course after training. Protein, by increasing insulin secretion, helps to stop catabolic reactions in the body and at the same time to kick-start protein synthesis in muscle fibres, thus promoting their regeneration. Otherwise, you can indulge in it, for example, for breakfast or at any other time during the day. Protein makes the most sense at meals that don't contain much protein but are rich in fat and carbohydrates. So if you have a piece of meat for lunch, protein will be useless at that point.

The question of the amount of protein intake during the day is highly individual. Everyone's body reacts a little differently and we all have slightly different goals. Therefore, the dosage of protein in the volume phase and in the diet will logically differ. Some people aim for 1 gram of protein per kilogram of body weight, but there are others who require 2.5 grams per kilogram. The need for protein supplementation also depends on your diet and the amount of protein you take in your normal diet.
