Sesame seed is suitable for sweet and savoury baking, as a sprinkle on porridge, yoghurt and salads. Crushed with salt, it forms a gomasio that will beautify even simple everyday dishes.

Sesame is part of legends and legends in many countries around the world. Historically, it is the most important crop grown for its oil. Indian sesame is an annual herb that blooms with blue, purple or yellow flowers and can be up to 2 metres tall.

  • For munching
    - make your own homemade mix with nuts and dried fruit
    - when roasting sunflowers, add a little shoyu or tamari at the end and mix to create a delicious savoury treat
  • Just to add
    - to soup, salad, risotto - you can use raw, soaked or roasted seeds
    - in yoghurt and porridge
    - in smoothies - soak the seeds in advance for a creamier flavourfor a more nutty flavour, lightly toast the seeds, suitable for vegetable and fruit smoothies

  • Sweet creams
    - When making a sweet cream, it is advisable to combine half and half with cashew nuts (soak both beforehand) and blend to a smooth cream
    - sweeten the cream with your favourite syrup, you can add cinnamon, cocoa, carob, cardamom
    - suitable for cakes, muffins, as a sweet dip for fruit
  • Baking
    - for bread dough, dalamans, crackers, muffins
    - You can use raw, soaked or roasted seeds, whole or blended into flour
  • Unbaked desserts
    - Blend nuts, seeds and dried fruits into a smooth dough and form balls that can be rolled in seeds, coconut, carrots
  • Granola
    - Mix flakes, seeds, dried fruit, nuts, add your favourite syrup and oil, bake at 110 °C for 60 minutes, stirring occasionally
  • Crumble
    - Mix 50 g seeds (can also be combined with nuts), 150 g oats, 6 tbsp rice syrup and 4 tbsp coconut oil
  • Cheesecake base
    - combine seeds, nuts, cane sugar, coconut oil
  • Gomasio
    - Mix 100g of roasted seeds and 1 tsp of salt, then blend, grind or crush in a mortar
    - you can buy gomasio already prepared from sesame and flax seeds
    - used to flavour salads, soups, rice, spreads...
  • Seed butters
    - sesame seed butter is called tahini
    - you can spread it on bread, add it to breakfast cereals or batters, spread it on pancakes and crepes, add it to yoghurt and smoothies
    - butter can be flavoured with salt, syrup, honey, carob, cocoa beans
  • Seed drinks
    - with granola, for making porridge, for pancake or pancake batter, for making pudding, for making ice cream, for making creams
