MCT Oil contains medium-chain triglycerides, which are metabolized more easily and quickly than regular fatty acids. They are much more readily available for people with digestive problems and in endurance sports. Unlike other fats, MCT fats do not need carnitine for their utilization.
On low-calorie diets, it is highly recommended to take 15 ml of MCT Oil per day. This amount is sufficient to prevent the Jo-Jo effect (weight gain after dieting), leading to aIt also leads to an increase in thermogenesis (fat burning) which is reduced during the diet. Although 15 ml of MCT Oil will add 120 kcal of energy, the increased thermogenesis will burn significantly more and make your diet more effective.
