Lately, I've been getting more and more into Prom-IN's new products. After a very well working product called Serious Pre, this Czech company introduced another similar supplement from the series of pre-workouts, namely Aggressive Pre.
Is it any better? Is it worth investing in it or is it a complete waste? Is it recommended to use such products at all? All this and much more you will find out in today's review.
Content of the review
At the beginning it remains to point out that Aggressive Pre is quite similar to the aforementioned Serious Pre product, which we created some time ago a separate review. If you want to have a clear overview of both variants, we definitely recommend reading this review as well.
A pre-workout that the competition isn't too keen on
One of the things I honestly dislike about the supplements available here is their constant stereotyping. No matter what anyone tells you about revolutionary supplements, basically most pre-workouts are "one-size-fits-all." Aggressive Pre, however, breaks out of the mold quite a bit, and thus earned my sympathy.
Not to be so abstract, you won't find a gram of arginine in it. Instead, it contains a more potent alternative, which is citrulline. And in an amount that is actually effective, not just for show.
Likewise, I find the use of capsaicin, which is grossly overlooked by the vast majority of manufacturers, to be a more than appropriate choice . It has a number of justifications in pre-workouts, whether it improvesblood circulation, speeding up metabolism or improving digestion.
And we could go on with other substances in the same way, for example creatine HCl testifies to the use of quality ingredients and to the thought put into the composition. In fact, this version of creatine minimizes all the common side effects, but at the same time is truly functional and proven.
But instead of a detailed analysis, let's take a brief look at all the remaining ingredients:
- 7000mg ofl-citrulline malate 2:1, which serves to maximize NO production and thus ensures better blood flow.
- 3000mg of beta alanine to increase muscular endurance and strength
- 3000mg of l-leucine, which is responsible for post-workout protein synthesis and protecting muscle fibers from catabolism
- 2000mg of creatine hydrochloride 2:1, which is used to increase strength during training
- 1500mg of l-isoleucine, which supports hemoglobin production and can serve as an energy source
- 1500mg of l-valine, which affects the absorption of melanin, tryptophan and phenylalanine and other neurotransmitters
- 1500mg of l-tyrosine, which is a precursor or component of many important compounds
- 1000mg of taurine for maximum concentration for performance
- 1000mg of choline bitarate, which is an essential element in the production of neurotransmitters
- 1000mg betaine hydrochloride, which relieves stomach acidity
- 500mg acetyl l-carnitine, which serves as an energy source during training
- 350mg of green tea extract, which supports proper fat burning and is also a rich source of many antioxidants
- 200mg of caffeine for mental alertness and good fat burning
- 54mg of Deanol l-bitarate to ensure maximum performance in your workout
- 30mg of niacin for proper energy metabolism
- 25mg of vitamin B6 which is essential for proper amino acid metabolism
- 20mg capsaicin for optimal fat burning, proper blood circulation and good metabolic functioning
- 10mg synephrine for maximum thermogenic effect
If you've gone through the above ingredients carefully, you'll agree with me that there's probably not much more that could have gone into Aggressive Pre. This pre-workout therefore acts absolutely sovereign and I dare say that you would be hard pressed to find a similarly charged supplement.
Preparation without any difficulties
I dissolved a dose of Aggressive Pre, which is 7 aligned scoops, in 450-500ml of water and shook it a few times using a shaker.
The pre-workout dissolved without any problems, however, a few insoluble particles settled at the bottom of the glass, which are typical for pre-workouts. It wasn't serious in any way though, you just had to swirl the glass a few times and you were able to drink the settled portion without any problems.
Very intense flavour
As is customary with our reviews, we try to test supplements in multiple flavors so that we can compare not only with competitors, but also with each other. In the case of Aggressive Pre, we've tried all three flavors available and they have one thing in common. They are very intense and you need to use a minimum of 500ml of water to get a pleasant taste. So a detailed evaluation of the flavours mixed in a pint of water looks like this:
- Fruit Punch (10/10) is actually the only flavour that is only in Aggressive Pre and not in Serious Pre. I have to admit that this is the best Aggressive Pre has to offer. The fruit punch tastes like a multivitamin juice and there is no noticeable the intense, pungent taste that can be a problem with previous variants. The flavour is full-bodied, with minimal sweetness and no tangy aftertaste when using a pint of water. It is very easy to drink, for me personally the fruit punch is a kind of ritual before a workout and even after finishing the whole packet I was not overwhelmed by the taste. So I give it 10 points out of 10.
- The flavour Lemon (9.5/10) and Mint is a very good and refreshing flavour that I would recommend to everyone. You only register the mint flavor from the product minimally, but the lemon is very refreshing, doesn't feel artificial, and doesn't taste that crazy intense either. When you drink the pre-workout, the sweet and sour taste of lemon mingles in your mouth, which I personally loved. So if you don't mind lemon, I find this variant more than suitable and give it 9.5 out of 10.
- The pineapple (7/10) was probably the least appealing to me personally, and it got overdone very quickly. The taste is really extremely intense, I had to use at least 600ml of water, otherwise it was not drinkable at all. It may even seem a bit artificial for my taste, but that's more of a subjective view, because some people prefer this type of flavour. For pineapple lovers a good choice, but otherwise I don't recommend it. I give this flavour 7 points out of 10.
Aggressive ear burning and brutal pumping the whole workout
About 20 minutes after finishing the entire dose of Aggressive Pre, I started to feel that familiar burning in my ears, which is caused by the presence of beta alanine. After a while, this was joined by a mild buzz and I was really starting to look forward to the workout. Already during the warm-up, a proper pumping was noticeable, which lasted throughout the entire workout. Unfortunately, that ear burning disappeared after about 40 minutes of training, but that doesn't mean that the pre-workout stopped working.
Absolutely adequate price
If you buy the whole pack of Aggressive Pro, one dose will cost you some . If you buy products from Prom-IN more often, you know that they are definitely not among the cheaper ones. For example, such Nitrox Pump Extreme, which ranked very well in our comparison of the best pre-workouts, it costs less per dose. On the other hand, there are definitely some pre-workouts that are even a third more expensive.
Even though the price of such a supplement may seem to you very exaggerated, it is necessary to remember that a pre-workout is far from being an essential part of an athlete's supplementation and if you invest in it, it is good to pay extra for quality. In the case of Aggressive Pre, from my point of view, you will pay a perfectly adequate amount for the effect that this one dose before training will give you.
Final assessment
In conclusion, it would be good to evaluate Aggressive Pre in some way and answer the questions raised in the introduction of today's review. This pre-workout is definitely worth investing in, it is without exaggeration one of the best in my opinionsolved pre-workout products that are available on the market. It's better than Serious Pre for me personally, because when I went to workout other than in the evening, I usually had coffee with Serious Pre anyway. However, it depends on your preference and the time of day you go to the gym. But you definitely won't go wrong by investing in this supplement.
Well, that's all from us for this review. If you have any experience with Aggressive Pre, be sure to share it with other readers in the comments. At the same time, you can also write us with all sorts of questions aboutregarding the use of this supplement, we will always be happy to answer you.
