Alavis Maxima Protein - Protein that doesn't offend, but doesn't impress either (Review)

When you say Alavis, what comes to mind? It's clear to me that it's probably that not-so-tasty joint food, which is considered by many athletes to be the best joint supplement. After all, even we ranked it first in our joint nutrition comparison. However, the same manufacturer has recently brought to market a number of other supplements that are no longer intended forbut are aimed at athletes, bodybuilders and all other active athletes.

One of these supplements is the Alavis Maxima protein. And of course we couldn't stay behind and we were one of the first to test the protein. So what was it like? Is it worth investing in? Does it taste better than joint nutrition? Find out in today's review.

At the outset, there is still one peculiarity to note. Protein is available only in unflavoured version. The manufacturer avoids the use of flavours, colourings, preservatives and all other additives.and, as with joint nutrition, relies on maximum purity and maximum effectiveness of the product. Whether this has any significant effect on the taste you will find out in today's review.

Ingredients that won't offend any athlete

When you buy whey protein, which of the ingredients represented interests you the most? I'm guessing it's the whey concentrate (or isolate/hydrolysate, depending on the type you choose) content. And this is what the manufacturer of this protein has bet on. Because you won't find anything else but whey protein concentrate here. No flavourings, no colourings, no flavourings. In short, a completely pure protein that definitely has something to offer. After all, taste is not the main reason to buy supplements. And if two supplements have the same effect, but one of them doesn't contain any controversial, unnecessary or non-functional ingredients, you should be clear which one to choose.

But on the other hand, we can also provide a critical perspective on protein. For example, such Pure Elite CFM, which we also reviewed some time ago, actually offers right away 5 digestive enzymes for maximum digestibility. And such substances immediately give the product a new dimension. Especially when it is a product from the same price category. Honestly, I think that if Alavis Maxima Protein had something like digestive enzymes, it would be the number 1 choice for me. But as it is, it is a protein that doesn't have extremely much to offer besides its purity and good amino acid spectrum.

Alavis Maxima protein and joint nutrition
As you can see, Alavis already makes not only joint nutrition, but they've recently added protein and a bunch of other supplements for athletes.

A taste that will definitely not please everyone

The aspect that most of you are probably most interested in is the taste. I honestly have somewhat mixed feelings about it. As always, I used 300ml of water and I have to say that the protein tasted like milk diluted 1:1 with water. If you reduce the amount of water, the taste of milk is logically more intense.

But by no means do I want to say that I didn't like it, I just couldn'tYou can't expect an extremely good taste that you'll look forward to after every workout. But if you expect maximum purity from your supplements, I can definitely recommend Alavis Maxima Protein.

Our tip!
If you don't like overly intense and artificial protein flavors, you can half the a half dose of Alavis Maxima Protein after your workout with half a dose of any other flavoured protein. This will make the resulting mixture taste good while not being as sweet.
Alavis Maxima protein taste
While Alavis Maxima is definitely not one of the tastiest proteins, if you don't like artificial flavors, it can totally suit you.

More or less price matching

Alavis Maxima Protein comes in only one pack, namely 2200g, for which you will pay around . So you'll pay about 15K for one serving, which is a price that many other proteins have, both significantly worse ones and slightly better ones.

For example, Pure Elite CFM, which we have already talked about once today, is comparable in price. This one contains digestive enzymes, but on the other hand, of course, it also has some "unnecessary" substances woundc (i.e. not directly unnecessary, but those that have no effect on building muscle mass, but serve e.g. This is because the product is not used to build muscle, but rather to flavour the product.) Thus, it is quite difficult to compare these two proteins. If you want absolute purity, choose Alavis, if you want the best digestibility, reach for Pure Elite CFM. Either way, there is nothing to fault this protein in terms of price.

Easy preparation thanks to its excellent solubility

If I had to single out just one thing about this protein, it would definitely be its flawless solubility. I followed basically the same procedure as I did for each of the previous reviews - when I was transferring the protein from the shaker to the glass, I strained it through a sieve. This time, however, the strainer didn't catch a single lump or undissolved particle. Three scoops (about 30g) of Alavis Maxima was enough to shake a few times in the shaker with water and the protein was immediately ready to drink, it did not foam or form any lumps.

Final evaluation - A protein that does not offend, but neither does it delight

I personally always look at the functionality of the supplement most of all. And that's why Alavis Maxima Protein caught my attention. I don't need a glossy packaging, just like I don't need twelve flavors to choose from. I want to get easily digestible protein into me during the day, and I get that from this protein. Plus, with a great amino acid spectrum, it's not to be overlooked.

However, if you don't think the same way, the protein doesn't have much to impress you. It doesn't have X digestive enzymes or an extremely amazing taste. But that doesn't change the fact that I can recommend this protein to anyone who prefers clean and effective products over glossy packaging and elaborate marketing.
