Ales Lamka probably needs no introduction. On the Czech scene, he is mainly known as a personal trainer, who has also made himself visible on YouTube.
However, today we will not talk about Ales, but about his protein. His new protein Titanus Whey CFM 80 has appeared on the market.
Content of the review
When a public figure markets a supplement under his or her own name, he or she is exposed to a large attention, so we expect that Ales left nothing to chance and this protein will be really worth it.
Very good composition
The focal point of any supplement is, of course, its composition. Titanus performs quite well in this respect, there is not much to complain about here. However, if I had to choose something, it would be the presence of the sweetener acesulfame K, which is not the happiest choice.
Personally, I would have appreciated instead the use of, for example, neohesperidin, which is somewhat more suitable for the human body. The thickener xanthan, which may cause an allergic reaction in some people because it is made from soya or corn, for example, may be a minor problem.
A good taste that definitely does not offend
The protein is available in a total of 5 flavours. Some are classic, such as vanilla, but there are also more interesting variants with iced coffee or marzipan flavours. In terms of composition, there is no significant difference between them. How did I like the flavours?
- The vanilla flavour (7.5/10) didn't really impress me. I can't say it was bad, but it wasn't anything that overwhelmed me in any way. The flavor isn't too strong, but on the other hand, it's not overly sweet either. Simply put, you can't go wrong with this choice. If you enjoy protein and like bold flavors, you'll probably be slightly disappointed.
- The banana flavour (8/10) is very similar to vanilla in its properties. Again, it is a bit bland. However, compared to some competing products, it is rather highbecause banana flavour is often very over-sweetened. If you like banana, you won't regret it.
- The iced coffee flavour (7/10) has a slightly stronger taste. In this case, the protein is not over-sweetened either, which is definitely a plus. Unfortunately, with this variant I had slight problems with the preparation, because it dissolved badly and left lumps. For example, such Extrifit Protein Caffe tastes much better.
Hassle-free preparation
If there's one thing I hate about proteins, it's the lumps after mixing. Fortunately, I haven't had a problem with most of the flavours I've tried. I also definitely appreciate the fact that the protein doesn't foam and settle to the bottom of the shaker after shaking.
The manufacturer recommends using 150ml of water, however, this depends mainly on how strong you prefer the flavour.
Adequate price
One serving will set you back about in the case of a two-pound pack. This is the average price among all the proteins in our ranking of the best proteinswhich means that you will find cheaper options, but the quality will be lower along with the price.
If we take into account the ingredients and the overall quality of the product, I have to say that the price is set very well indeed.
Final summary
My feelings about this protein are pretty good overall. It is not a groundbreaking novelty that will completely blow you away, but it will definitely not disappoint you.
I really appreciate the high protein content and the fact that none of the flavors are overly sweet. The price is absolutely appropriate, so I can only recommend this protein.
