Anapur natural food - Another nutritional nonsense or a good diet replacement? (Review)

As you probably know, my attitude towards any substitute for a varied and balanced diet is very negative. And it is even worse when the manufacturer skimps on raw materials and spends all the money on elaborate marketing. Some time after we took on MANU, I was approached by the manufacturer of Anapur asking if I wanted to try their product as well.

I thought about it for a while, studied the ingredients in detail several times and finally accepted the offer. But I started thinking about how to actually handle this review, so that it wouldn't look like I was promoting something I was fighting against just a month ago. Well, I thought it best to point out the basic differencesbetween Anapur and most other meal replacements that only look alike. So let's get to it.

Where to buy?

Right at the very beginning it remains to add that my attitude towards replacing solid food with liquid is still the same. However, unlike MANA, Anapur does not pretend to be a 100% replacement of solid food, but a situational supplement. So let's focus today's review on just how Anapur can work as an occasional diet replacement in situations where we don't follow a solid diet.

So what makes Anapur different from other meal replacements?

When you compare Anapur to the vast majority of competing products falling into this category, you'll find at least one interesting thing. The ingredients in Anapur are absolutely minimally processed. Of course, some of the ingredients need to be further processed because they would be less digestible in their raw stateHowever, as far as possible, the manufacturer keeps the ingredients in their most natural state. Let's take a look at a few ingredients that illustrate my thoughts very well:

  • Camu camu in place of synthetic vitamin C - you will have noticed that 90% of manufacturers use synthetic l-ascorbic acid. However, in Anapur you will find Camu Camu powder as a source of vitamin C, which has a much wider spectrum of effects. In addition to boosting the immune system, it also levels blood pressure, fights depressive conditions and is a very good aid in weight loss.
  • Nuts in place of oil - While some manufacturers tend to addnuts to beverages in place of oilAnapur uses nuts directly in its drinks. Of course you avoid unnecessary chemical processing, but on the other hand it is important toIt is also important to remember that nuts are primarily rich in ALA fatty acids. Unlike EPA and DHA, our body cannot use this fatty acid and therefore has yet to convert it into these two acids. The problem is that this conversion is very wasteful, with no more than 10% of ALA being converted to EPA and DHA. In this case, I might prefer to use seaweed after all.
  • Poppy seeds instead of calcium - Basically the same case as camu camu. While the vast majority of competitors reach for calcium carbonate or a similar calcium source, Anapur uses poppy seeds. Again, this has other benefits such as linoleic and fatty acid content, fibre and protein with a relatively good spectrum of amino acids.
  • Oatmeal instead of maltodextrin - when we did a review on a similar drink some time agoWe mentioned that the manufacturer uses the cheapest ingredients available. Of course, oatmeal isn't a staggeringly expensive raw material either, but using it as a carbohydrate source is a million times more enjoyable than maltodextrin.
  • Two different protein sources - The vast majority of similar meal replacements contain only one protein source. Usually it is soy protein, which is the cheapest. However, it contains only minimal amounts of some amino acids, which, in line with Rubner and Wolf'scon on essential amino acids, when consumed over a long period of time, significantly reduce the amount of AMK incorporated into proteins. Anapur combines soy protein with almond protein, which, although containing lower amounts of methionine, lysine and cysteine, contains a proportion ofThis makes it a complete and balanced meal in terms of amino acid content.
  • Naturally occurring vitamins and minerals - Quite interestingly, all the mineralsvitamins and minerals are naturally occurring in Anapur, so their source is the natural ingredients that this drink has. This is a nice change from supplements where 90% of the substances are artificially added. The only added ingredient is cyanocobalamin (i.e. vitamin B12 ), which enriches the chlorella during the fermentation process.

Among the other ingredients, it is definitely worth mentioning the chicory root, which is very goodIt also has a very good prebiotic function, as does beetroot and nettle, which has beneficial effects on the prostate. In summary, apart from the absence of EPA and DHA, the composition of Anapur is very good.

Specific but natural taste

From my point of view, Anapur had a very pleasant taste, but I had to get used to it first. The first time I tasted this drink, I thought I wouldn't even be able to finish it, but with each subsequent taste, my overall impression improved. The flavours are "layered" in every possible way and you feel the different intermingling of the flavours.

I appreciate that Anapur doesn't try to make it available in a million flavours, because the natural version itself looks absolutely amazing.natural, and because of the layering of flavours, even with more regular consumption, there is no danger of getting used to it and becoming disgusted because of it. I also consider it an unforgettable advantage that, unlike competing products, Anapur contains whole pieces, so it is good (in my opinion even desirable) to chew them.

Anapur may not have the most striking and enticing colour, but it looks and tastes completely natural.

Easy to prepare and eat

I used some 500 ml of water to prepare Anapur and emptied the contents of one sachetinto the shaker that Anapur sent me with the product. The company's shaker is nothing special though, Anapur can be prepared in any sports bottle with a wider neck. Just shake a few times and the meal is ready.

Its consistency is slightly thicker than competing products, and Anapur also contains whole pieces that are desirable to chew. Definitely not one of those drinks that you are able to eat in seconds, I had to writet slowly and thoroughly chew, but I was still able to work for example while consuming it and it wasn't restrictive in any way. After drinking it, I felt quite satiated, however, due to my high caloric intake, I could not I can ' t say that I was downright full and the recommended daily dose of 5 sachets would have filled me up. I dare say, however, that people with lower caloric requirements and sedentary jobs will be satisfied at most. Again though, I only recommend it as a replacement for one daily meal, it's definitely not ideal from my perspective to take 100% of your food from Anapur.

Anapur Slovakia
Anapur itself is very soluble, however, it also contains whole pieces, which of course you don't mix and have to be careful when consuming.

Two different views on price

If you buy a pack of 35 servings, you will pay about for one bag of Anapur. If you buy the same pack of the popular MANA, it is immediately less. There are two possible views on price here. If you see Anapur as a supplement that won't fill you up and will make you hungry, is obviously a lot. But if for you it is a substitute for lunch in a restaurant, for which you would pay several times more, its price is of course very good. From my point of view, it depends mainly on the frequency of consumption and how much it can fill you up.

Anapur Slovakia
While such proteins, for example, are considerably cheaper, Anapur is a complete meal that will fill most of you up well.

Where to buy cheapest

Final assessment

Anapur is not a miraculous complete meal replacement that will make you say goodbye to solid food. Anapur isn't even the cheapest food available that will just about fill you up, regardless of quality. But honestly, it's definitely the best comprehensive meal replacement you'll find on the market. If I had to pick one "supplement" from this category myself to reach for when I'm busy, it would definitely be Anapur.

I mean, not that I want to glorify meal replacements in any significant way, but in this case, you can really you can count on a very good composition, a pleasant and natural taste and, ultimately, a fairly affordable price.
