I recently came across a question on an online forum about the tastiest protein on the market and surprisingly many people mentioned Biotech's 100% Pure Whey. So I decided to give it a try as well.
Was it really that tasty? What is its composition? Is it worth investing in? All this you will find out in the following review.
Content of the review
I tried the protein in five flavours, which I found most interesting at first glance: peanut butter/chocolate, cinnamon roll, vanilla, strawberry and caramel/cappucino. So here are the highlights for all of you who are thinking about buying this product.
Amazingly creamy taste
All the flavours are absolutely perfect in terms of taste. They are not over-sweetened and, unlike many competing products, do not feel artificial at all. After mixing in the shaker, all the proteins were beautifully creamy and thick and combined with the fruit, they kept me pleasantly full after my workout. Here's my assessment of each flavour:
- Iwas most impressed with the vanilla and peanut butter/chocolateflavors. Vanilla is a classic that I taste with every protein, but I rarely find such a delicious and balanced flavor. It wasn't unnecessarily over-sweetened or completely tasteless. It was really reminiscent of vanilla in smell and taste, which I rate very positively. I rate it 10 out of 10.
- Peanut Butter and Chocolate, on the other hand, is a somewhat unusual flavour, but it totally exceeded my expectations. I probably can't find anything to compare the taste to, however, if you like classic peanut butters, you'll be thrilled! I rate it 9.5 out of 10.
- Cinnamon Snail is a flavor that, for me personally, is one of the best ever you can get on the market. Although I was initially worried that the protein would be artificial, it feels very natural, the cinnamon flavorThe flavour is really noticeable and also quite intense, but if it's not enough for you, you can add more. The cinnamon snail is not too sweet, but it is sweet. Plus, there are little bits of ground cinnamon floating around in it, which helps create an unforgettable taste experience. I rate this protein a 9.5 out of 10 and recommend everyone try it.
- Salted Caramel was another great flavor that I was absolutely thrilled with. Even after mixing in water, it made a very creamy and thick protein with an intense caramel flavor. The salt was probably used more for show, as you can smell it quite minimally from the protein. And that's exactly how I like it, so I rate the protein 9 out of 10 points.
- Theraspberry cheesecake does carry a rather poetic label, but you really can't smell the cheesecake on it unless you have very developed taste buds. The raspberries are noticeable in the protein, I even dare to call Pure Whey the tastiest raspberry protein on the market and I give it 9 out of 10 points.
- Berry brownie is a protein perfect for those of you who don't mind sweeter flavours. Although I'm usually skeptical of these flavors, I really enjoyed this one, even though it's a little sweeter than the others and may feel a little artificial to some. I rate it 8 out of 10, but I believe it will find its fans among you.
Less soluble
It's not too often that I have trouble making protein shakes. This time, however, I ran into solubility issues with all of the flavors. Even after several long seconds of stirring in the shaker, the protein was still full of lumps floating on the surface. If I wanted to get rid of this problem, I had to shake the shaker for a really long time or use a blender.
For the objectivity of this review, it should be added that other reviewers on other sites did not have a problem with solubility, so it is possiblethat this error is due to, for example, poor storage, although I treat all samples in the same way.

Quality composition with a minor minus
Protein 100% Pure Whey is a combination of whey concentrate, whey isolate and added amino acids (l-glutamine, l-arginine and branched chain amino acids- BCAA). This makes it an ideal protein not only for volume but also for the diet. You can take it at any time of the day, whether after a workout, at breakfast or any other time of the day. Moreover, it is a 100% gluten-free protein, so even celiacs will appreciate it.
A minor minus mentioned above is the salt content of the protein - namely 0.8g per 100g of product. Most regular users don't mind it and from my own experience I have to say that you won't notice anything in the taste of the protein either. But the problem is that we generally take in much more salt from our food than is healthy, so I think protein should contain only a minimal amount of salt.
Adequately priced
The last minor drawback for some may be the price. For a 2.27kg pack, you'll pay just under £1,200, which compares with such am CFM evolution, which was the winner of our ranking, by nearly more. Considering the quality ingredients, fine-tuned flavours and unbeatable digestibility, this price is absolutely appropriate.
Final evaluation
In conclusion, I have to say that I was thrilled with 100% Pure Whey. Leaving aside the poorer solubility, this was probably one of the best proteins I've tested so far. I would recommend it to any of you who cling to good tasting protein and don't mind paying extra for quality.
If you don't want to spend a penny more on supplements than necessary, there are definitely cheaper (yet still quality) alternatives. One of them can be for example CFM Evolution, which you can also read a full review about on our website.
