Blendea is a Czech brand of natural dietary supplements. Blendea' s philosophy is simple: it relies on the power of nature and uses only natural ingredients in the production of its products. Thanks to this, you will not find any unnecessary additives or controversial substances in them. The company's offer consists mainly of adaptogens, green "superfoods", herbs, medicinal mushrooms, but you will also find vitamins or various functional mixtures. A simple formula and a very effective form of magnesium

At first glance, Blendea's magnesium does not differ significantly from other products on the market in terms of its composition. It contains demineralised water, sunflower lecithin, magnesium citrate, vitamin B6 (pyridoxine hydrochloride), citric acid, xanthan gum and potassium sorbate. Thefirst two substances, although they are quite subtle, are absolutely essential. The liposomes used in liposomal supplements are made from sunflower lecithin. The binding of gentian to the liposomes protects it from the body's internal environment and makes it several times more absorbable. Liposomal magnesium is therefore able to avoid decomposition processes in the body and enters the bloodstream intact. In addition, the structure of the liposome makes it much easier to penetrate the cell wall, which further improves its absorption. The improved bioavailability of liposomal supplements is also confirmed by scientific studies.

As far as magnesium itself is concerned, we are dealing here with magnesium citrate. This is one of the highest quality forms of this mineral, as it is the so-called chelated form. It is very well absorbed and is also known for its energising effect. You can read more about the different forms of magnesium in our article Magnesium under the microscope. In addition to magnesium, we also find a rich dose of vitamin B6. This is particularly important for athletes because of its contribution to protein metabolism and the functioning of the immune system. The other substances contained only serve to keep magnesium in a stable form and do not pose any health risk.

How to take liposomal magnesium?

Supplements in liposomal form are liquid, which may not suit everyone. Unlike capsules or tablets, you have to measure the dose correctly first and taste also comes into play. The recommended dose of liposomal magnesium from Blendea is two teaspoons. These contain a total of 200 mg of magnesium. While this is less than many competing products, it is not a problem due to the highly absorbable liposomal form. If you follow the recommended dosage, one packet will be enough for 25 days, which is not much, but it is not unusual among liquid supplements. Since magnesium citrate can have a pro-nutrient effect when taken in excessIt is a good idea to stick to the recommended dosage and not to exceed it.

The liquid version of magnesium has both advantages and disadvantages.

A taste that definitely does not suit everyone

When taking conventional supplements in the form of capsules or tablets, you don't have to worry about the taste at all. Once a dietary supplement is liquid, its taste can play quite a major role. After all, no one wants to take something day after day that they don't really like. Blendea's Liposomal Magnesium has a pretty specific taste, but it definitely won't surprise you in a positive way. It tastes really bad on its own, and if I were to take it like this every day, I would have to push myself a lot. However, the manufacturer states that you can add a few drops of lemon or mix it with juice to improve the taste. And it is the latter option that has worked very well for me. The distinct taste of the juice easily overpowers the magnesium and in the end it is not a disaster. The downside, though, is that you always have to have something on hand to mix the magnesium with.

Digestibility is not a problem

Some liposomal vitamins are made from soy lecithin, which poses a problem for people who are allergic to soy. However, Blendea's liposomal magnesium is made from sunflower lecithin, so taking it shouldn't be a problem for anyone. Since magnesium is very bioavailable in this form, it is not likelythat you will experience any digestive problems after taking it. Of course, this may occur if you exceed the recommended dosage, but otherwise you should not have any problems with digestibility.

You have to pay extra for the liposomal form

Considering how much liposomal vitamins and minerals are being touted these days, it probably won't come as much of a surprise to anyone that their quality is also reflected in their price. On a per daily dose basis, Blendea's liposomal vitamin comes out to a relatively high amount compared to competing products. However, this is something that one must take into account when buying a similar product. However, it is fair to say that the composition and quality of the whole product sufficiently justifies the high price. Final evaluation

We were very pleasantly surprised by Blende's Liposomal Magnesium. Its main advantage is its quality composition combined with a very bioavailable liposomal form. A slight disadvantage is the unpleasant taste, but this can be solved simply by mixing the magnesium with juice, for example. The higher price of the product is, in my opinion, fully justified, so the resulting value for money is excellent. Ultimately, we can highly recommend Blendea's liposomal magnesium to everyone.
