What is the basis of BrainMax Pure Granola?
At the outset, it's worth noting that BrainMax has ventured into its Pure line, where among other things, you can come across granola. And not just one, but it currently has 6 different varieties in its range, which differ primarily in the ingredients used. We decided to try the variant with pistachios and white chocolate, but the basis of all variants is organic gluten-free oatmeal and the differences are in their additional flavouring. How can you enjoy granola?
Granola has a huge variety of uses, and although it is most often enjoyed with milk by health food enthusiastsor yoghurt, it can also be eaten on its own and, due to its relatively high calorie count, can be taken as a snack on a hike. Various plant-based alternatives to milk are also suitable - a typicalm example is the delicious oat milk or almond and coconut milks. Some people also indulge in a little granola to increase the nutritional value of, for example, breakfast cereals. In short, you have a whole range of options and it's up to you what you choose.
What does Pure Granola taste like?
Although we didn't have high expectations when choosing this granola, we noticed that on the official websitewebsite at the time of our decision, it had the highest possible rating and all customers were raving about it. So we decided to give it a try and we have to say that it definitely did not disappoint us. The granola has a good crunch and this property makes it last even in milk, which we really appreciate. But apart from that, it is perfectly balanced in taste and what we have to appreciate is that it tastes completely natural. There is nothing worse than artificial-tasting cereals full of unnecessary additives that you can find in some supermarkets, for example. We were therefore delighted with it and liked the fact that the pistachios and white chocolate are really noticeable in the taste of the granola. However, if these two ingredients don't suit you, you can choose a different kind - from the exotic Mango & Papaya combination to the classic chocolate variant to the blueberry cheesecake version.
How is Pure Granola priced?
As usual with BrainMax products, the price is of course slightly higher. On the one hand, it should be noted that it reflects the high purchase cost of the ingredients - for example, pistachios or ghee are undoubtedly expensive ingredients. On the other hand, however, at the time of writing this review you will pay 219 crowns for a whole four hundred gram pack of granola, which in our opinion is not entirely too little. Considering that one serving is 30 grams, the whole pack has about 13 servings and each of them comes out to less than 17 crowns. Compared to the price for one serving of supermarket muesli, the price of granola is of course extremely high. However, the moment you realize that this is a premium breakfast full of valuable nutrients, the price of the product makes sense.
