If you've already come across our comparison of the best collagens, we certainly don't need to explain to you that there are a number of collagen supplementation options. Some rely on unflavoured powder that you can put in proteins, for example, while other manufacturers prefer tablets. But BrainMax offers a somewhat specific product that is a combination of cocoa, MCT oil and just collagen. You can learn more about it in this review.
Content of the review
At the outset, it is worth noting that this product is very similar in nature to the Magic Cacao we reviewed earlier, with which you can compare it.
What does BrainMax Pure Collagen Cocoa & MCT consist of?
As far as the ingredients of this product are concerned, it obviously contains quite a lot of raw materials compared to, say, 100% collagen. However, each of them is in the product for a reason and it is definitely not some meaningless ballast. For example, the product contains 38% organic Peruvian cocoa, which is a great source of flavonoids and other useful substances. In addition, you can enjoy 23% beef grass fed collagen, dried coconut and MCT powderpowder, soluble fibre, carob, cinnamon or baobab, which is a source of natural vitamin C. It is this vitamin that is indispensable for the proper absorption of collagen, so you can see that BrainMax has really thought about functional ingredients. Of course, the collagen is hydrolysed, which maximises its usability. The grass fed label then declares that the cattle have been free ranging and grazing grass, which is reflected in the quality of the collagen derived from it. In addition to the collagen, all products are certified organic, so you can be sure of the true purity of the product. We have absolutely nothing to criticize about the composition.

How to prepare it?
BrainMax Pure Collagen Cocoa & MCT boasts, among other things, a really easy preparation that everyone can handle. Just take two tablespoons of this mixture (about 10 grams) and mix it in 250 ml of warm water or milk. For ideal preparation without lumps, we recommend using a shaker or a stick blender, but with a little effort, the cocoa can be stirred. At the same time, we preferred to prepare it in milk for a better taste, as it brought out the good flavour of the cocoa and cinnamon. However, if you want to reduce the number of calories you take in, plain water is definitely a better choice.
How does this supplement taste?
If you prepare this supplement in warm milk, you will get a really unique and tasty balanced cocoa that combines intense notes of cocoa and subtle hints of coconut and cinnamon. Don't be fooled though, this supplement itself has no sweetener, so it's definitely not sweet. But if you don't mind, you can add a little extra honey or other sweetener to your hot milk.
What effect can you look forward to?
As far as the effect is concerned, BrainMax Pure Collagen & MCT brings all the effects associated with the alreadyso you could say that it is suitable for skin, nails or hair, for example. But it is also suitable for the proper functioning of the musculoskeletal system and thanks to its vitamin contentC and other antioxidants, for example from cocoa, it is overall a very useful and versatile supplement.
What do we say about the price?
At the time of writing this review, one pack of 300 grams comes out to 649 crowns, which is a great price in our opinion. You will pay less than 22 crowns per dose, which is significantly less than, for example, the already mentioned Magic Cacao from Pure Paleo. This product is a bit harder to compare with classic collagens, because it contains only 23% of this substance, but itsIt will certainly find its fans, not only among classic athletes, but also among people who try to take care of their skin, nails and hair.
Final evaluation
BrainMax Pure Collagen Cocoa & MCT is a quality product that offers a range of active ingredients without any unnecessary extra ingredients. It is available at a relatively affordable price and when you add to that the very good taste that canyou can boost the taste by adding a little honey, you get a supplement that we think is definitely worth a try.
