Protein&Co is one of the companies that probably needs no introduction to any sports nutrition fan. After all, only on our website you could already see reviews of several types of proteins - from the flagship CFM protein to the multi-ingredient Snack It to the protein without sweeteners called Natural Whey. But you'll find much more in this company's repertoire. Like a great collagen with vitamins called Collagen Beauty. And that's what we'll focus on in this review.
Content of the review
At the beginning it remains to add that the products for this review were provided directly by Protein&Co, however still allowed us to be completely objective in our review, so we bring you an unbiased review.
How do we rate the ingredients?
While it may not seem like it at first glance, there is actually a really significant variety among collagen supplements. And while some manufacturers use barely usable collagen, Protein&Co really bets on quality. In fact, you'll find more than 13 grams of pure, bioactive bovine collagen in every serving. But in addition to that, the drink is enriched with a hefty serving of hyaluronic acid, and each serving ofeach serving covers the entire recommended daily dose of B vitamins, vitamins H, E and C and minerals such as selenium and zinc. And besides the fact that these nutrients are extremely important for all athletes in general, they are useful for women, of course, because they are important for the health of the skin, hair and nails.
How did we prepare Collagen Beauty?
Collagen Beauty is available in a powdered version, so its preparation is quite simple. Simply put 250ml of water in a shaker (or glass), pour 2 scoops of the mixture into it and stir or shake gently. One dose is then equivalent to 16 grams of the mixture. And given that one packet contains 340 grams, this means that you will find 21 full doses.
What do we say to the taste?
If you use collagen supplements regularly, you'll know that bioactive collagen can be quite often available in unflavoured versions, which we don't recommend. However, Collagen Beauty is already available in flavoured form and although we were slightly apprehensive at first, we got over it the first time we tasted it. It is a refreshing drink with a raspberry flavour that is just right and not over-sweetened. Especially in the hot summer months, it tastes great with a few ice cubes. And the best part is that only sucralose, beetroot colouring and natural raspberry flavouring appear in the ingredients. So you don't have to worry about good taste at the expense of compromising on ingredients.
How do we rate the price?
If Collagen Beauty has any shortcoming, it may be the relatively high price for some. At the time of writing this review, you will pay 479 crowns for one pack of the previously mentioned parameters, which means that one dose will cost you about 22.5 crowns. Of course, this may not seem like a lot, but we would dare to argue against it, becausethat this price largely reflects the high purchase costs of the raw materials used. Some people tend to supplement, for example, collagen, hyaluronic acid, B-complex and zinc separately, soCollagen Beauty can replace up to four different supplements at once. And it doesn't come out nearly as bad in comparison.
Who is the supplement for?
It probably won't come as a surprise that the target audience of this supplement is women, who of course are also featured everywhere in the photos available on the official product website. And considering that the primary purpose of this supplement is to improve skin quality, strong and healthy hair as well as strong nails, this probably won't surprise anyone. But, of course, men can also use the product - and it should be noted that using collagen not only to increasementioned above, but also to strengthen ligaments and tendons, is definitely a good idea.
Final assessment.
What is left to say in conclusion? Perhaps only that Collagen Beauty is a supplement that is definitely worth a try. Even if you have to pay a little extra for it, it offers a top-notch formula as well as a great taste without compromise. And when you add to that the fact that it can replace up to 4 separately supplemented supplements, there's nothing to debate. It's more practical, you'll enjoy it, and ultimately it comes out more affordable. However, if you don't want to buy Collagen Beauty on its own, you can buy it in a convenient package labeled as a Beauty pack, which also contains hyaluronic acid and Herbum Adiposum, which is a natural fat burner that we covered in a separate review.
