When Czech Virus came out with their new joint nutrition some time agoJoint Max Ultimate Blend, it caused a big stir, as is usual with new products from this company. Although thanks to the promotion of such star personalities of our fitness scene, such as Jirka Tkadlčík, Filip Grznár or Pavel Beran, you could have seenthe feeling that it is the best joint nutrition in the world, we decided to independently test it and find out how it really is.
So is it a good investment? Isn't the effective marketing of Czech Virus just another ineffective product? Could it even be a better option than Alavis? Find out the answers to these and many other questions in our independent review.
Content of the review
It is worth saying at the outset that although you won't find this joint nutrition yet in our list of the best joint nutrition, we are definitely planning an update in the future, in which this joint nutrition simply must not be missing.
An unbeatable formula, but still with its shortcomings
At first glance, when you look at the composition of Czech Virus Joint Max Ultimate Blend, you may feel that there is nothing to fault with this joint nutrition. And indeed, it is a product that would be hard pressed to find a competitor in terms of active ingredients. You will find more or less the same substances as in the popular Alavis, but even more concentrated. And, of course, some extra substances.
Chondroitin, glucosamine and methylsulfonylmethane are basically essential substances when you are looking for functional joint nutrition. The quality of this joint nutrition is also evidenced by the fact that you will not find "ordinary" cheap collagen in it, but peptan, i.e. bioactive collagen I. type of the highest quality.
But what Czech Virus has definitely come up with as one of the few is, for example, the addition of turmeric to Joint Max Ultimate Blend. This absolutely miraculous ingredient, popularly used for example in Ayurvedain Ayurveda, reduces the risk of arthritis and suppresses its symptoms, reducingthe risk of cancer, it's excellent against inflammation, it reduces the risk of cancer. It is beneficial for the liver, prevents bloating and improves digestion. However, this is where we come to one of the few minor shortcomings. According to the available scientific evidence available turmeric is relatively difficult to pass through the digestive tract. And at the same time, it has been shown in the aforementioned study to improve usability by, for examplewhen turmeric is administered with piperine (an alkaloid found, for example, in black pepper). So I miss it a bit in Joint Max.
Similarly, I do not see much justification for the use of l-ascorbic acid, a synthetic vitamin C. In our articlewhich we published on this subject a while ago, we refer to the book Pharmacokinetics, where, among other things, the exact process for the production of synthetic vitamin C appears. The fact remains, however, that synthetic vitamin C contains only the vitamin C molecule, whereas if this vital nutrient is added to theIf you take this nutrient from natural sources, you also get a whole range of other ingredients such as rutin, factors J, K and P bioflavonoids and ascorbinogen.
But these small quibbles aside, Joint Max definitely offers a packed and effective formula that is unrivaled on the market. Even compared to Alavis, its formula is significantly better, as it contains more active ingredients and is also more concentrated.
A taste that will exceed your expectations
If there is any other aspect worth mentioning besides the composition, it is definitely the absolutely delicious taste. The only available variant in which you can find this joint nutrition is the tropical fruit flavour. However, it should be noted that it is absolutely delicious and could definitely be compared to the taste of, for example, pineapple BCAAs. It may be too sweet for some, but this "is solved by preparing it with more water. After all, it's still good to remember that this is joint nutrition, not some protein you drink several times a day. And if you've been used to the taste of Alavis, for example, you'll definitely be excited now.
Absolutely hassle-free preparation
Before I tried Joint Max, I was using Alavis. I was used to sprinkling it straight into my mouth because when I tried to stir it in a glass of water, the powder always settled to the bottom. But in the case of Joint Max, it's definitely worth using a shaker with 300-400 ml of water (depending on how sweet you want your drink), adding one scoop of thatand shake it a couple of times, and the result is excellent joint nutrition that leaves no foam or lumps.
The only thing that spoils the overall impression is the higher price
If this new joint food from Czech Virus has any major flaws, it is the higher price. But are you still surprised? I mentioned this as a negative, for example, with nut butters from this company, which I reviewed some time ago, and I have to mention it here. In short, you have to be willing to pay extra for quality. However, if you don't mind, I can definitely recommend Joint Max.
If you buy it, buy two packs at once
If there is one thing Alavis excels at, it is the content of the doses in the pack. It is enough for three three-month cycles (approximately 1 year). Joint Max Ultimate Blend contains only 40 doses, the amount for 40 days. And since, for example, chondroitin and glucosamine are slow-acting substances (so their full effecttheir full effects are only noticeable after 2-3 weeks of use), it is definitely worth taking them for longer than the 40 days mentioned. If you're thinking of buying one, take two packs at once and when you've used them up, drain Joint Max for a month. You'll see that you'll be as satisfied as I am.
