When a few days ago the company Czech Virus came up with new protein bars based on the popular and high qualityquality nut butters from this company(Coconely, Coffeenely and Caramely), I knew I simply had to try them.
But did they live up to my high expectations? How do they fare in terms of ingredients and taste compared to other bars? Which of the 3 flavours available is the best? Find out all this and much more in the following expert review.

For the sake of completeness, I need only add that I have tried all three available flavours (i.e. Coconel, Coffeenel and Caramel) so that I can compare the bars not only with the competition, but also with each other. So you can find my evaluation here:
Absolutely first-class ingredients
The most important thing about any protein bar is the ingredients. And that's what these hot new products from Czech Virus have in spades. Well just judge for yourself, in one bar you will find:
- 28-30% high quality protein - Unlike other competing manufacturers, Czech Virus has chosen whey protein as the only protein source, which we definitely consider a big plus. While the average exerciser usually can't tell anything in terms of protein content, there is a huge difference in usability and impact on health.
- 10 % or less carbohydrates - Another huge benefit is the low carbohydrate content. In fact, it doesn't exceed 10% of the total weight of any bar. And when it comes to simple sugars, the bar is even better - all flavours contain less than 4%, which is again very pleasing compared to the competition.
- 40+% plant fiber - Now comes the best part. Each bar contains at least 40% fiber, which originates from chicory. Among the health benefits of this ingredient, it is definitely worth mentioning the acceleration of digestion, complete cleansing digestive system, and the excellent nutritional value that comes with the right protein bar.
- Large amounts of nuts - Unlike some bars that only try to give the impression of healthy food, these Protein Bars from Czech Virus don't have to play at anything. In fact, nuts have been used as an additional ingredient (the specific types vary depending on the flavour chosen - Coffeenela contains liCoffeenela contains coconut, Coconela coconut and Caramela peanuts, which are not directly nuts, but most of us perceive them as such). Thanks to this ingredient, the bars get not only a great taste, but more importantly, top-notch nutritional value and lots of healthy fats.
Of the "complementary" ingredients, you will find only glycerin in the bar, which serves as a moisturizer, sunflower lecithin, and sucralose, which is probably the best sweetener and there is no controversy about its health effects.
Very pleasant price
Even when it comes to price, protein bars from Czech Virus are not too overpriced. On the contrary, their price is very pleasant. Compared to, for example, such EXXE Protein Bar, which ranked at the top of theof our selection of the top best bars, it comes out cheaper.
On the other hand, of course, there are also cheaper bars, for example Zero Bar. Protein bars from Czech Virus are therefore more in the middle in terms of price, but their composition is a great competitor to the best ones. In terms of price/performance ratio, it works out very well indeed!
A taste that arouses mixed feelings
The taste of the new protein bars is probably what interests you most of all. And so, without further ado, I'll reveal that my feelings about these bars are very mixed. On the one hand, I'm very positive about the great consistency, because these protein bars are beautifully softon the other hand, I found some of the declared flavours bland and uninteresting.
I rate the specific flavours as follows:
- Coconela Protein Bar (10/10) - This flavor impressed me the most. I dare say it's the best and tastiest protein bar I've ever tasted. The taste of coconut is quite strong, but it doesn't interfere with the overall impression. In short, it tastes exactly like Coconela peanut butter tasted. And that was a complete taste orgasm for me, so I give this bar 10 out of 10 points as well.
- Coffeenela Protein Bar (9/10) - Coffeenela has impressed me a lot less than Coconela, but it still does very well compared to competing products. As a coffee lover, I'm a little disappointed that the coffee is not very flavourful.tit, the taste of cocoa and hazelnuts is much more pronounced. So, leaving aside the fact that this is supposed to be a coffee bar and I don't notice the coffee much, I rate it 9 out of 10.
- Caramela Protein Bar (6/10) - The last place in the comparison of these three flavours belongs to Caramela from my point of view. Perhaps this is partly due to the fact that I had the highest expectations from it. But I didn't notice the caramel flavor from the bar even a little bit, but there is a very intense peanut flavor that overpowers all the other flavors. If you're a devoted peanut lover, this bar is sure to please. I was disappointed, however, and that's why I rate it 6 out of 10.
The only downside? Small packaging!
If there's any downside to these protein bars from Czech Virus, it 's the extremely small packaging. Each one weighs only 45g, so you can easily eat it in 3-4 bites. And once you've tasted the first one, you'll be craving more in no time.
So if you're thinking of buying some, definitely order more right away because one will definitely not be enough.
Final evaluation
Czech Virus products are simply and simply uncompromising Czech quality. It is no wonder that even when making protein bars they stick to quality ingredients to getThey are so good in nutritional value that absolutely every fitness, bikini and hardcore bodybuilder will appreciate them. But unlike many other products from this company, the price is also very pleasant in the case of protein bars. Because let's face it, the price of such Nano BCAA is a bit steep.
Well, when you add to the great ingredients and pleasant price a first-class taste that Czech Virus Protein bars have, you're probably getting the best bars on the market.
Even if you are a die-hard opponent of protein bars and consider them a completely useless supplement, I would recommend you to give these new products a try. Maybe you will change your mind.
