Drip: How did the natural energy drink taste? [review]

Energy drinks are a widespread trend not only among athletes, but also among the non-sporting population. For many people, it is a source of energy without which they cannot imagine their day. Drip is a yerba mate drink that contains all natural substances and is thus an alternative to energy drinks that is also suitable for athletes. How did we like it? And how do we rate its ingredients? To avoid any confusion, we must point out that Drip was called Eccentric until some time ago. For this reason, some photos may show this older name instead of the new logo. However, apart from the name, nothing has changed about the drink and, regardless of what is written on the packaging, the same thing is in every can.

A fine-tuned formula that rivals classic energy drinks

Drip has a relatively simple formula. In addition to yerba mate, it contains ginger and lemon freshness, cane sugar, cinnamon, vitamin C, sea salt, andl, cardamom, cloves, nutmeg and potassium sorbate as a preservative. Even at first glance, the composition is much more basic compared to other energy drinksbased on natural ingredients and contains almost no artificial substances. Yerba also has a really high caffeine content, so that one can of Drip hidesup to 150 mg of this stimulant, which is more than most conventional energy drinks.

Yerba maté is typical in that it contains a really huge amount of amino acids, vitamins, alkaloids and much more. As a result, it promotes concentration, can give you a good boost, helps fight stress and is anti-inflammatory. Even taking into account the other substances that Drip contains, we have to rate the composition as excellent.

An unusual taste you'll love

I'll admit that I had little experience with yerba before testing Drip. Its taste is quite specific and may not suit everyone. But I fell in love with it immediately. Drip combines the typical bitterness and earthiness that is characteristic of yerba and the familiar taste of a classic carbonated drink. The Drip is indeed very bubbly, which I personally consider a benefit as it nicely influences the resulting taste. It has to be admitted, though, that everyone's preferences may vary a little in this regard.

Drip is really the bomb (literally)

As mentioned in the previous paragraph, Drip is really worthy of carbonation. Therefore, when you open the can, you can't avoid getting your drink properly foamed. This really isn't a very pleasant thing, especially if you don't have a tissue or some sort of wipe after a year.

But the effect of the drink itself is great. Of course, the effects of caffeine and other stimulants vary from person to person, so take all my experiences with a grain of salt. As a big coffee lover, however, I can say that yerba supplemented my daily caffeine intake quite easily and worked very well during a day full of studying.

Quality comes at a price

Drip is a Czech beverage that is also produced in the Czech Republic. In addition, quality ingredients are used for production, which of course raises the cost of production. In addition, it should be taken into account that this is not a big company that sells hundreds of cans a day. For this reason, it is clear that Drip is priced significantly higher than competing energy drinks. With daily use, the price difference is understandably even more pronounced.

Try Drip

Conclusion.

From my point of view, Drip is a very good drink that definitely has the potential to compete with well-known energy drinks. Aside from the fact that you spill something on the floor when you open it, I have nothing to complain about. The ingredients and taste are very well balanced and the final effect is excellent. The higher price is something you have to expect with a product like this, so overall I have to give Eccentric an excellent rating.
