Extrifit Hellgel: An effective pre-workout straight from hell (Review)

Hellgel was one of the first pre-workouts I ever tried. I didn't have the faintest idea of how the various active ingredients worked at the time, so I took the whole spent the whole workout with extreme body tingling and really good pumping.

Since then, however, not only the design of this supplement has changed, but also the composition has undergone a kind of revolution. For this reason I decided to try Hellgel again. So what was it like? Is it worth investing in or are there better alternatives? That's what you'll find out in today's review.

At the beginning, it remains to say that Extrifit's pre-workout supplements are among the top on the market - the world'sThis is evidenced by the fact that two products of this company (including Hellgel) were ranked in our top ten pre-workouts. But now back to the review itself.

Formulated for superior blood flow

Hellgel's formula has its flaws, but it's put together in such a way that you'll get a top-notch pump-up on every workout. In each sachet you'll find over 23g of active ingredients put together to ensure you get the most out of your workout:

  • 5000mg of creatine for better endurance and greater strength
  • 5000mg of AKG arginine and l-arginine (4:1) for maximum blood flow and increased NO levels
  • 3000mg of beta alanine for a nice tingling sensation in your limbs and improved strength, energy and endurance
  • 2000mg citrulline DL malate for maximum nitric oxide production
  • 4000mg BCAAs (2:1:1) to protect muscle mass from protein catabolism
  • 2000mg of L-Glutamine and Glutamine AKG (1:1) to maintain nitrogen balance in the body
  • 2000mg taurine to improve strength and muscular endurance
  • 250mg of green tea extract for improved metabolic function
  • 150mg of caffeine for proper concentration for training and better sweating

Minor drawbacks that I talked about a few lines above include the unnecessarily high l-arginine and AAKG content. As we discussed in more detail in our article on citrulline under the microscope, it is always a better option than arginine. While arginine breaks down into ornithine and uric acid before it can fully to be absorbed, citrulline itself is only later broken down into arginine, which can be fully utilized.

You can't go wrong with apple flavour

Unfortunately, Hellgel is only available in two flavours - apple and orange. Unfortunately, bitterness is typical for both variants, as most of the containedare naturally bitter, plus this supplement contains no simple sugars or fats.

Even though both flavours have a strong chemical effect, apple is still a better choice than orange. Personally, I'm of the opinion that supplements are taken for effect, not taste, so I didn't mind it extremely. However, a large number of reviewers on portals like Heureka perceive taste as the biggest fault.

Practicality as the biggest benefit

Personally, I consider the biggest benefit of Hellgel to be its practicality. You don't need to carry a shaker of water with you, you just need to suck the contents of the bag about minutes before your workout. Another advantage is the precise dosing, you don't have to measure anything or look for a measuring cup somewhere at the bottom of the pixel. And even if it doesn't seem like it, it can save you a lot of time.

How did it work for me?

As with any pre-workout, the effect of Hellgel is completely individual. While some people complain that it didn't affect them at all, for some it may be the best possible choice. From my perspective, this pre-workout was very good primarily for muscle blood flow, but in terms of stimulation it had minimal effect.

After all, the composition corresponds to this - most of the substances are designed to increase nitric oxide production, from stimulants only taurine, green tea extract and caffeine are represented. It is for this reason that I think it is more than advisable to cycle Hellgel with another pre-workout that contains more stimulants. That way, no pre-workout will stop working for you and the effect will still be good.

Where to buy cheapest

Totally overpriced

From my point of view, the price for this pre-workout is really exorbitant. For one dose you pay . To give you an idea, a dose of Nitrox Pump, which is a bit weaker, but contains the same amount ofactive substances, will cost you less than ( we also wrote a separate review on this supplement). And that ultimately makes a big difference. For this reason, I think that the investment in Hellgel is not very worthwhile and there are better alternatives.

Final assessment

In conclusion, perhaps the only thing left to summarize is that in terms of muscle pumping, Hellgel is indeed very effective, but the other aspects are not very good. The price for it is exorbitant and the taste is not at all pleasant for most people. Holt applies here that you have to pay extra for practical packaging and perfect design.
