Reliable composition is a guarantee of quality
Extrifit High Whey 80 is a combination of whey concentrate, which is 85% whiteprotein and whey isolate representing the remaining 15%. Production by cross-filtration microfiltration (CFM) is a matter of course, so that the resulting product boasts premium quality. I consider the combination of concentrate and isolate to be a very good choice, because such a product combines the advantages of both types of protein. On the other hand, it is important to add that since whey isolate represents only 15% of the composition, the whole supplement should be seen as a concentrate with slightly better digestibility than usual. The presence of the digestive enzyme papain and the pH-stable lactase should also be appreciated. Both substances help with the absorption of the product, thus increasing its effectiveness.
One serving of protein (30 grams) contains an average of 22 grams of protein, 2.1 grams of carbohydrates and 2.2 grams of fat. I find it slightly disappointing that, despite its name, Extrifit High Whey 80 contains a maximum of 76 grams of protein per 100 grams of product. For the nougat flavour, it is even only 71 g of protein, which frankly isn't the most. However, we have to rate the composition as a whole very well and apart from this small shortcoming we have nothing to complain about.
Seamless solubility and great consistency
As mentioned in the previous paragraph, one serving of this protein is 30 grams. Therefore, one large pack (2,270 grams) will last you a total of 75 days, which is just great. The manufacturer recommends dissolving the 30 grams in 150-200 ml of water, which is slightly less than the common practice. Even so, you won't have the slightest problem with solubility or lumps forming during preparation. The protein does not foam in any way either, which is a welcome positive. The consistency of the resulting drink is great in my opinion, but I still recommend trying a single batch of mixed250 ml of water, because in this case the consistency is even a bit better (but this is only a subjective opinion).
No need to worry about digestibility
Sometimes it can happen to have digestive problems after taking the protein. Personally, this happens to me more after trying inferior products. However, this is definitely not the case. Extrifit High Whey 80 is digestible without any problem and I have not noticed any problems even after long-term use. To what extent this is due to the enzyme papain and lactase with a stable pH is difficult to determine, but in any case these added substances are certainly not detrimental.
Some flavours will please you, others will not
Extrifit High Whey 80 is currently available in 12 different flavours. In addition to classics like chocolate, vanilla or banana, you can also indulge in flavors like pistachio, nougat or apple strudel. When evaluating flavours, it is important to remember that these are only the subjective opinions of our editorial team. If we don't like something, it doesn't mean that you won't like that particular flavour. From my own experience I can recommend the flavours chocolate, hazelnut or blueberry. They are very well balanced and definitely worth a try. The cookie and nougat flavours, on the other hand, didn't really appeal to me and seemed rather artificial.
In terms of nutritional value, there are quite noticeable differences between the flavours. While the vanilla, blueberry and cookie flavours contain the most protein (76 g per 100g), the nougat flavour contains the least protein (only 71 g per 100g). The nougat flavour also contains the most carbohydrates, making it the worst of all flavours nutritionally.
Fair price
An important aspect not to be overlooked in the evaluation is the price. Extrifit High Whey 80 is sort of in the average range in this respect. You can find cheaper products on the market, but at the same time, you can also come across many more expensive alternatives. The important thing is that in terms of price/quality ratio, this protein still performs very well. Thanks to the high quality and sophisticated composition, the price is completely justified.
Final evaluation
Extrifit High Whey 80 is still without question one of the best proteins on the market today. The combination of whey concentrate with isolate and the content of the digestive enzyme papain and pH-stable lactase are particularly worth highlighting. Slightly disappointing were some of the flavours, which seemed too artificial for my taste. All in all, however, we can highly recommend Extrifit High Whey 80 to anyone looking for a reliable whey protein at a fair price.
