When we started thinking about what multivitamins to choose for our rankings, V52 from Extrifit was the obvious choice. Extrifit is a stalwart on the market, having already produced a number of very high quality products. When I first got my hands on their multivitamin, I was full of anticipation.
Unfortunately, those expectations dissipated as soon as I read the ingredients on the back of the packaging. What specifically did I not like? What is my opinion of this product? Would I even recommend it to others? Find out this and much more below.
Content of the review
Given the huge competition in the nutritional supplement market, it is understandable that manufacturers are noand often try to come up with something new to impress their customers. In this case, Extrifit has primarily targeted the largest number of active ingredients. Unfortunately, the rule that quality is more important than quantity also applies here, and quality is what V52 lacks.
You will find everything you need here. But...
In each tablet of this vitamin you will find 52 substances, which is at least on the Czech market one of the most extensive formulations we have encountered in our editorial office. An unquestionable plus is the content of a large amount of adaptogens and enzymes, which only a small number of competing products contain. The most significant active ingredients in one tablet include:
- 125 mcg of iodine, which is crucial for the proper functioning of the thyroid gland
- 10 mg of L-carnitine, which plays an important role in converting stored fat into energy
- 14.3 mg of ginseng, which helps prevent stress while supporting proper brain function
- 35 mg of inositol
- 1 mg of vitamin A
But when it comes to the quality of some substances, or the amount in which they are contained, words of praise are no longer appropriate. Magnesium is contained here in the form of oxide, which is the cheapest, but of course also the lowest quality. Other elements, such as vitamin D3, are contained in such small quantities that the onlym benefit of their presence in the product is to increase the total amount of substances. Overall, the composition gives the impression that the manufacturer has not placed much emphasis on quality, but has only tried to prioritise quantity.
When and how to take V52?
Dosing is very simple with V52. One daily dose consists of just one tablet, which is best consumed with food and of course, remember to wash it down with plenty of water. At the recommended dosage, one pack will last you for 2 months.
Does the price correspond to the quality?
At 52, it ranks among the cheaper multivitamins. One daily dose will cost you , which is a very good price. Compared to most other vitamin supplements in this price range, this is a very high quality product.
Considering its price, it is especially suitable for students or sports enthusiasts who exercise more recreationally. People who play more active sports should consider buying a higher quality supplement with a more concentrated formula.
Will I feel any difference when taking V52?
The effectiveness of supplements of this type is highly subjective, so it may have a slightly different effect on everyone. However, from my perspective, V52 is not very effective.
It is true that I felt positive changes compared to when I was not taking any multivitamin, but compared to competing products the effect was much less. Even if you get 52 substances into you every day, their poor quality and low content cause them to have almost no effect. In the end, then, you still have to take some sub-essential ingredients (such asmagnesium and zinc) completely separately.
The final assessment
Although I was pretty optimistic about this multivitamin from the start, after a closer look at the ingredients and effectiveness of this product, I have to conclude that V 52 is not one of the most successful products that Extrifit offers. But as it happens in life, nothing is black and white. I'm not saying that V52 can't find its fans. I reiterate that in its price range, it is a reasonably good supplement.
If you don't require the highest quality formula because you don't train much often, or simply do more recreational sports, V52 may be a good choice. However, a person who exercises more and cares for a quality formula in whichwould probably be disappointed with the product.
That's all from our side. Feel free to write your opinion about this supplement in the comments, or contact us with any questions.
