When you say "shaker", most people think of a simple plastic container in which they canor one of the best pre-workouts before they get to the gym. Then there's the blender for preparing other liquid drinks, like a homemade gainer or a simple smoothie. But what if we told you there was a hybrid between these two worlds? It's called the FitStream, and we're going to look at it in detail as part of this review.
Content of the review
At the beginning it remains to point out that on the official FitStream website you can also find the most diverseother porridges, greens and other products that will also be the subject of our reviews.
What is FitStream?
If you see a picture of the FitStream blender somewhere, it will probably look like any other blender in this category. In reality, however, the main advantage is that it is very compact and has dimensions that match those of a regular water bottle. That's why it fits into almost any city backpack and, thanks to the motor-chargedm via the USB port, you can prepare your own smoothie anywhere, anytime without plugging into the mains. Whether you're going to work or hiking.
What are the advantages?
While it may not seem like it at first glance to some, the FitStream really offers a plethora of benefits. Apart from the fact that you can prepare a smoothie with it almost anywhere, this Czech project is also really planted on quality and precision, so for example, the plastic part of the blender is free of health-safe BPA. In addition, the sharp blades rotate quite quickly, so you probably won't be surprised thatthat this blender can blend everything from fresh fruit to freeze-dried fruit to nuts. At the same time, you can also enjoy the very intuitive and easy to use or a very good design, where you can really choose from a plethora of different colours.
What can you blend in it?
It probably won't come as a surprise that you don't just have to blend fruit in this blender. It's also great for combining different fruits with nuts, breakfast smoothies with oatmeal and nutritional supplements. So if you have a protein at home that doesn't dissolve well in a shaker, for example, put it in the FitStream blender and you'll see that it'll handle it just fine.
How does FitStream work?
Working with FitStream is very intuitive and simple. The blender will arrive at your home in a handy package along with a manual and a USB-C charger to charge the blender. The blender also includes a single button with an LED to indicate whether the blender is charged or not. After charging, which only takes a few tens of minutes, just put your favorite product in the blender and start blending. We, for example, decided to prepare one of the porridges that will be the topic of the next review. So we used 150ml of lukewarm water, dumped the porridge into the blender and pressed the button. After a few seconds of blending, all the ingredients were well combined and a breakfast porridge you can drink was born. Without any unwanted lumps or whole chunks that have no place in porridge.
How long does FitStream last?
The battery lasts about 30 blending cycles on a single charge, which we find very acceptable. If you blend one meal every day, the battery is capable of running for a full month without recharging. If you really like blended food and you have use for the blender almost all day, it should still last you about a week, which is really unbeatable.
What is the maintenance?
Of course, the ease of maintenance is also worth highlighting from our point of view, because perhaps no one wants to spendto spend long hours a month cleaning and maintaining a device. However, once you've made your favourite drink in the FitStream, all you have to do is put water in, a drop of detergent and start the blender again. Then just pour out the water, rinse the blender, and you're done.
How do we rate the price?
There's no point in kidding ourselves - the FitStream is great, but of course its great features are also reflected in the price. You'll currently pay a minimum of 1176 crowns for the blender, which frankly isn't very little. And if you're not a fan of blending, of course you can do without it. But if you like to make smoothies, or if you're just busy enough tooatmeal every morning, for example, the FitStream PRO can be a really good choice. And in this case, of course, the price is absolutely right, because the mixér is more expensive, but it is a quality product that lasts. For only 79 crowns you can also add an extended warrantyfor 3 years, so you can be sure that any defects in the device will be addressed by the manufacturer. In addition, it is worth mentioning that if you subscribe to the FitStream newsletter, you will receive regular discount coupons, with which the products will work out much better.
Final review.
What's left to say in conclusion? Perhaps only that the FitStream PRO should be the obvious choice for anyone who enjoys quick, simple meals and rarely manages to eat at home at the table. With this handy helper, you can take a healthy snack on a hike, in the car or on your way to the gym, for example. And if you're willing to pay a little extra for it, you can count on it to keep you happy for a really long time. Plus, with a wide range of colours, you can choose the blender that suits you best.
