Ghost Pump - Extreme pumping before training? (Review)

I've wanted to tryGhost's Preworkout for a long time, and I've heard nothing but praise for it. I was told that there is no similar product with the same effect on our Czech market.

When you hear these arguments, you start to wonder if it is really such a great product or if your neighborhood is exaggerating. After some thought, I decided to take a look at this pre-workout to see if it's really worth it.

Where would I classify this pre workout? Will it stand up against competing products such as the M3/S Pump or Blood Storm? Did I feel any effects after using it? Find out that and much more in today's review.

I have been following Ghost internationally for quite some time. It is an American brand that claims to want to be completely unique. It wants to create different and functional products, in short, it wants to go against the tide, and lately they have been relatively successful.

I really have to say that all their products are unique in their own way. Whether it's the flavor chosen or some other value added that takes the product to another level. However, the Ghost brand is also characterized by the high price of their products.

But enough with the introductory words, let's get down to the actual Ghost Pump review.

The composition that ensures maximum efficiency

The most represented ingredient in the composition we find l-citrulline, which is there for the sake of blood supply to the muscles During training, it helps supply the muscles with nutrients, promotes muscle tone and vascularity. L-citrulline also has the advantage of allowing you to exercise for longer, especiallymore repetitions and this will indirectly lead to greater muscle growth.

The second most represented ingredient here are arginine nitrates, which act in the body very similarly to the aforementioned L-citrulline. They are here to further promote muscle blood flow, vascularity and pumping during training.

Glycerol powder is another ingredient in the preworkout that directly promotes blood flow and muscle fullness. Simply put, after taking glycerol, a large amount of water gets directly into the muscles to ensure quality contractions during exercise and flushes out lactic acid after exercise.

A very interesting ingredient here is norvaline, which is an amino acid that indirectly improves the effect of nitric oxide in the body. Again, you'll notice this on yourself in the form of better blood flow, pumped up muscles and better contractions.

The final ingredients that are here to support nitric oxide are vitamin C and polydextrose, which is a form of carbohydrate that promotes endurance and supplies nutrients to the muscles during training.

Last but not least, there are two added adaptogens in the product in the form of pine bark extract and root extracts under the patented Astragin brand. These adaptogens improve quality of life when taken over the long term, can help with cardiovascularm health, give the body much more energy, reduce fatigue and have a positive effect on brain function.

Preworkout is sweetened with sucralose, which is an artificial sweetener that is safe for the body and poses no danger.

Furthermore, both chemical and natural flavours have been used in the production process , as the manufacturer states on the product packaging. The chemical colour used here is allura red, a controversial colouring agent that is not used in our country. It is not suitable for children and could affect their attention and hyperactivity.

For the adult population, it can also have negative effects, but you would have to consume a huge amount of it, which at the recommended dosage is definitely not an option.

Problems after unpacking Ghost Pump

Immediately upon receiving the shipment, I naturally set about breaking down the product and testing it afterwards. Preworkout was very well packaged and overall the packaging made a nice impression on me.

However, right after opening the package came the disappointment. The whole mixture inside was like a stone, so it was impossible to scoop it with a measuring spoon. So I had to use a knife and literally cut the whole mixture into smaller pieces. This whole situation happened with both of the Ghost Pump test packs we ordered, so we don't think it was a defective piece.

Of course, I know that the hardening of the whole mixture has no negative effect on the final purposeHowever, with a preworkout that I'm paying for I would expect no such problems to occur.

The preparation is absolutely trouble-free

I followed the manufacturer's instructions when consuming the preworkout. I mixed one dose (17.5 grams) in 250 ml of water. The solubility of the preworkout was absolutely problem-free, no lumps formed and the preworkout was dissolved almost immediately.

When the preworkout was stirred in the shaker, the drink foamed slightly, but fortunately this foam subsided within 30 seconds and the drink was ready for consumption.

Our tip
Preworkout can also be easily stirred with a spoon, in this case it doesn't even create a glow.No foam and you can have a tasty cold drink with ice before your workout.

It ranks among the absolute top in terms of effectiveness

I consumed Preworkout about 30-45 minutes before training in a dose of 17.5 grams according to the manufacturer's recommendations. I consumed Preworkout on an empty stomach to ensure maximum absorption of all the active ingredients. Approximately 90 min after the last solid meal.

Within 30 minutes after consumption, all substances started to be absorbed into the body and I was able toThe ground felt pretty full, right after the first set my muscles were perfectly pumped.

You have to take into account that this is a pre-workout without stimulants. There is no form of caffeine or other stimulants contained here. So don't expect a rapid increase in energy or an aggressive buildup to your workout.

On the contrary, after consuming this pre-workout, you will have a clear head, you will be able to focus on your workout without any problem and you will be able toThe primary effect is the aforementioned pumped up and full muscles, which is absolutely awesome.

Here I would recommend you to stick to at least the recommended dosage of the manufacturer to get the results you expect from the product.

The sour watermelon flavor will neither offend nor delight

When mixing one batch of 17.5 grams in 250 ml of water, it came out to aboutI have to say that I was pleasantly surprised. There is no overpowering chemical aftertaste, but there is a strange mealy texture in the mouth when consuming the drink. Personally, I don't know what added ingredient this texture came from, but some might find it unpleasant.

As far as the pure taste is concerned, the resulting drink is not overly sour. When stirred in 250 ml of water, it produces a slightly sour flavour with a hint of melon. You have to be careful here, because I know from my own experience that the melon flavour may not suit everyone and I would recommend you try someone else's preworkout beforehand.

Our tip
If you like extremely sour flavours, you can add a little lemon juice to your drink. This will help to keep you pumped during your workout while also perfecting the sour watermelon flavor.

The price is higher than you would expect

The manufacturer preworkout comes in a 350 gram pack, which costs . There are 20 whole servings in one whole pack at the recommended dosage of 17.5 grams. In this case, one dose will cost you , which is a very high price that can understandably put you off.

Alternative products

I understand that the price can be very high for a lot of you , which is why I have decided to recommend alternative pre-workout pumps that Ghost Pump can replace. The effect is a little different with each product , but if you choose one of these two, you definitely won't go wrong.

1. Czech Virus M3/S Pump

A proven pre-workout pump from the manufacturer Czech Virus that has been with us for quite some time. From my own experience I can say that this is also a good product that you will be satisfied with. However, you won't get as good an effect here as with the pump from Ghost. You would have to increase the dosage a little bit, which would make it more expensive in the end.

The big advantage over the reviewed preworkout is the price, where one dose will cost you a total of , if you count the hardcore dose of 14.5 grams. Such a high dose is in my opinion necessary to achieve the expected effect.

2. Big Zone Bloodstorm

A much better alternative is the Blood Storm pre-workout pump from German manufacturer BigZone. At the same time, here you achieve a very good effect already at a dosage of 10 grams, when one dose will cost you , so it is the cheapest of all three. Of course, the dosage can be adjusted at any time, so do not be afraid to use a dose of 20 grams.

Here we can already talk about a real competition for the pre-workout pump from Ghost. However, it should be noted that both pre-workout pumps have different formulations, so they will also work a little differently. It is therefore necessary to try both of them to know which one works best for you.

Final Review

This brings us to the end. So is it worth investing in Ghost Pump or is it better to reach for an alternative? Personally, I think that if you don't mind paying extra for quality, you can't go wrong with Ghost Pump.

I've tried many stimulant-free pre-workouts in the past, but I haven't felt the same effect with any of them as I did with this one. At the same time, Ghost Pump has such a unique formula that you will hardly find on our market.

But it should be noted that the price of per dose is really extreme and that's why I also recommend you to check out our reviews of Blood Storm, M3/s Pump or Serious PRE. These preworkouts didn't disappoint us either and for a third of the price they offer a very comparable effect.

Why can you trust us?
