There is no doubt that nuts should have a firm place in the diet of every person who tries to follow the principles of a healthy diet. However, if you can't incorporate nuts as such into your diet, nut butters can help, as they have a wide range of uses and offer a good portion of calories, a wide range of vitamins and minerals, as well as plenty of protein needed for proper recovery and muscle growth. In this review, we take a look at 2GO nut butters from GymBeam.
Content of the review
Perfect formulation is just one of the many benefits
First of all, we should look at the composition, which is of course very important when choosing any product. However, it should be noted that GymBeam produces two different butters from which you can choose. The most basic option is peanut butter, which contains nothing but dry roasted peanuts. But in addition to that, GymBeam also offers almond butter with coconut and white chocolate in the form of this handy pouch. But it still retains its impeccable composition - you really only find almonds, coconut and white chocolate. However, besides the perfect composition, the butter has other advantages:
- It is convenient for travelling, as it does not take up too much space.
- It contains enough calories and macronutrients in a relatively small volume.
- It has a resealable container so you can consume it gradually.
Good consistency and easy to use
Although someone complained about the consistency from time to time in reviews, we didn't notice this problem. On the contrary - we think the butter has the perfect consistency for you to eat it, for example, somewhere on a hike or or spread it on some bread or rice sandwiches, for example. But since nut butters tend to change consistency depending on storage temperature, we can imagine that, for example, a long stay in temperatures around zeroquite stiff and therefore very problematic to use, whereat high summer temperatures, on the other hand, it may be too runny with oil on the surface. However, we have not experienced any of this. The butter could be squeezed out of the tube very nicely, so there is nothing to prevent its further spreading on, for example, pastries or direct consumption from the pocket.
How does it taste?
In addition to the benefits mentioned above, 2GO nut butters also offer a great taste. There's probably not much to say about pure peanut butter, it's a typical peanut butterpeanut butter, which has a pleasantly distinctive and natural flavour, but nothing that will surprise you. Almond butter with coconut and white chocolate has a much more complex compositionbut still retains a great taste that is perfectly balanced. It blends well the delicate aroma of coconut with the pleasantly sweet white chocolate.and the almonds make you feel like you're eating your favourite Raffaello, for example.
What do we think of the price?
If you look at the price, you'll see that at the time of writing this review, one pouch of nutty has39 crowns for pure peanut butter and 49 crowns for flavoured peanut butter. And from our point of view, considering the fact that it is practically a packaged snack containing 80 grams of quality butter, this is actually a very pleasant price. If you decided to pack some of the best protein bars on the market, for example, you could quite possiblyyou're going to pay even more money, and dare we say it, the bars are significantly less filling.
Final assessment: does it have any drawbacks at all?
To sum up the whole review, GymBeam's 2GO nut butters are the perfect travel buddy. Their packaging is very handy, there is a really top-notch formula inside, and on top of that, in terms of value for money, the butter doesn't come out bad at all either. As far as taste is concerned, the peanut variant is not particularly interesting and, given the absolutely pure ingredients it is no different from the classic butters on our list of the best peanut butters, for example. However, the almond butter with coconut and white chocolate is a different story - it tastes really great and refined, and we must also appreciate that it is not unnecessarily over-sweetened, as some products tend to be. We therefore recommend trying the butter with all our hearts, and we dare say it is one of the tastiest nut butters on the market.
