Diets of all kinds are a big trend today. Along with them, however, the popularity of various detoxes, which are designed to cleanse the body and rid it of harmful toxins, is increasing in a big way. For something like this, it is of course ideal to use some suitable supplement to support your efforts. Such a dietary supplement can be, for example, Health Detox from Skinny, which we decided to try and evaluate in today's review. But besides the review of this product, we will also look at the idea of detoxes themselves and their actual effectiveness.
Content of the review
Skinny is a Czech brand of supplements focused mainly on the production of fat burners, proteins and vitamin supplements. The company's clientele is mostly women, although it is increasingly popular among men as well. In addition to quality and sophisticated ingredients, the company also relies on the eye-catching design of its products.
High-quality formula full of antioxidants
In terms of ingredients, Health Detox by Skinny performs very well. The ingredients contained are reliable and have been tested quite well on other products. The combination of spirulina, chlorella, barley and sea buckthorn is a safe bet that bears its fruit. Let's take a closer look at the individual substances.
- 120 mg of spirulina - this is a freshwater algae native to China containing vitamins B2, B3, B12, C, A, E, K, calcium, iron, potassium, as well as 18 of the 22 amino acids. It is known as an extremely powerful antioxidant with a truly unique mineral, vitamin and protein content. Spirulina is also easily digestible, which makes it even more effective.
- 120 mg of chlorella - chlorella is one of the most widely used algae that you can come across in countless supplements. It is very rich in chlorophyll and contains a large amount of vitamins, minerals and protein. Like spirulina, chlorella is also known for its antioxidant effects and good digestibility.
- 120 mg of barley - barley, like the previous substances, is a safe bet. It is rich in B vitamins, vitamin C, vitamin E, vitamin K, magnesium, copper, potassium, calcium, as well as fiber, chlorophyll and essential amino acids. It is also a powerful antioxidant, thus protecting the body from the effects of free radicals.
- 80 mg of vitamin C - vitamin C is perhaps the most well-known and used vitamin of all. C is extremely important for the proper functioning of the immune system, protects cells from oxidative stress, reduces fatigue, supports normal nervous system function and much more.
- 50 mg of sea buckthorn - contains a generous dose of vitamin C, but is also rich in other vitamins. It is known for its ability to support digestion and proper function of the vascular system, in addition, it has a beneficial effect on the functioning of the prostate gland. The main advantage of sea buckthorn, however, is the support of the immune system, which makes it increasingly popular.
- 10 mg of zinc - zinc is one of the most deficient minerals in the body of athletes, as it is largely excreted in sweat. It is very important for the quality of sleep, the functioning of the immune system and for the adjustment of hormonal balance. It also serves as an effective antioxidant.
- 200 μg of folic acid - otherwise known as vitamin B9. It is essential for the functioning of the nervous system, is involved in the formation of red blood cells and is key in the process of cell division.
- 55 μg of selenium - selenium serves as an antioxidant, while also helping to regulate blood pressure and protect the health of our heart. It is also associated with the functioning of the immune system and thyroid gland.
How to dose Health Detox?
The manufacturer recommends taking one capsule 1-3 times a day, which gives the end user quite a lot of freedom. Since there is no clearly defined recommended daily dose for spirulina, chlorella, barley and sea buckthorn, it is difficult to deviate from their contents when dosing. On the other hand, we can very easily say that one capsule contains 100% of the recommended daily dose of vitamin C, zinc, folic acid and selenium. For this reason, I consider one capsule per day to be quite sufficient.
The acceptability of the price depends on the dosage
If you decide to take only one capsule per day, one packet will last you a very pleasant 2 months. Thus, the price of one dose would be less than 10 crowns, which is perfectly fine in my opinion. However, if you decide to dose up to 3 capsules per day, the price per dose will logically triple. So from less than 10 crowns you get to almost 30 and that sounds much less acceptable. However, since I consider one capsule a day to be quite sufficient, I judge the price according to this dosage. And in this case it is perfectly acceptable.
Do I need a detox?
Before we jump into the final evaluation, I can't forgive myself for one thought, which, however, in my opinion, is absolutely essential for the evaluation of this product. Many people believe that various forms of detoxes are an extremely effective way to cleanse your body and rid it of unwanted toxins. The problem is that nowadays, detoxes like this have become a big hit and more and more people are deciding to give their bodies a good cleanse once in a while. During this detoxification process they usually don't eat much, drink only water and in most cases take some kind of detox supplement. But none of this is really necessary.
Our liver, kidneys, lungs, skin and digestive system are constantly working to remove all harmful substances from our body. However, deciding to cut back on almost all of your diet for a few days won't help them. On the contrary, you can harm yourself. The key to a healthy body that is free of unnecessary toxins is a healthy diet and an active lifestyle. Our body can deal with toxins on its own without any problem, as long as we have a balanced diet and enough exercise. Some supplements only come into play when you have sorted out the basics. Don't really expect any magic from them.

Conclusion.
Based on the above, it's probably obvious that Health Detox on its own is useless to you. No supplement will save you if you don't have the basics of diet and exercise sufficiently mastered. While it is true that the substances contained are effective antioxidants, your liver, kidneys and other organs function much more efficiently. For this reason, you cannot expect a dietary supplement designed to detoxify yourto miraculously get rid of all the toxins in your body. Do you have the basics sorted out and yet you're looking for a supplement to make up for a few missing nutrients? In such a situation, Health Detox may come in handy. Otherwise, you would only be wasting your money on a product that only serves as a placebo.
