PEScience High Volume - An unconventional preworkout that caught our attention (Review)

After a long time, I got to review a lesser-known foreign brand PEScience again. Specifically, this is a review of a pre-workout pump that is stimulant-free.

Abroad, this manufacturer is much respected and its products are much praised for their quality. Therefore, I decided that I might as well pick something from their range and take a look at it so that you also know if it's not just marketing talk and if their products are really worth it.

So where would I put this pre workout? Will it stand up against competing products we use here such as the M3/S Pump or Blood Storm? Have I felt any effects after using it? What was its taste or solubility like? Find out this and much more in today's article.

PEScience is one of the world's leading supplement manufacturers, which strives to build all its supplements on premium quality and unique taste. Behind this company are, among others, a number of scientists who are interested in modern findings and studies, on the basis of which they create new supplements.

Indeed, I must say that all their products are unique in their own way. In the past, I have reviewed a protein from the same brand that stood up very well, so I am curious to see how this product will stand up.

But enough with the introductory words, let's get down to the review itself.

A proprietary formula that works

PES High Volume composition

  • L-Citrulline.

This is a very well-known substance that is added to pre-workouts for the reason of blood circulation to the muscles, more pumped up, helps the inflammationthe muscles with nutrients, and last but not least, it helps you get moremore reps, which will lead to more muscle mass gains.

  • Arginine nitrates, under the patented NO3-T™ brand.

Arginine nitrates have a similar function to the aforementioned L-citrulline, which it essentially complements. Again, its effect is felt most acutely in muscle pumping, vascularity and sinewiness.

  • Performance Pump Matrix This is a complex of three ingredients, specifically taurine, glycerol and Ferula Asafoetida root extract (devil's dung separator).

Glycerol directly promotes blood flow and muscle fullness. When taking glycerol before a workout, the muscles draw large amounts of water into themselves, whereuponWe feel full and feel quality muscle contractions and blood flow during the workout .

Taurine positively influences the ability of muscle cells to take in energy while restoring energy stores during training. In translation, we will have more energy and can handle longer, harder workouts.

dog high volume composition

Ferula Asafoetida root extract is an adaptogenic ingredient in the preworkout that positively affects the nervous system, bringing the body to a state of alertness, reducing stress and promoting recovery after exercise.

Preworkout is sweetened for the most part with sucralose, which is considered one of the safest sweetening options. During excessive sucralose consumption (you really can't over consume sucralose), you may experience problems with water retention or impaired digestion.

The latter is supplemented here with Acesulfame K, about which there is a lot of negative information circulating on the internet . However, I should point out that there have been many studies that deny the negative effects or achieve only during extremely high levels, which are basically impossible to achieve in a normal way. It is also considered to be a high quality and safe sweetener.

Both chemical and natural flavourings are mentioned in the ingredients but are not specified.

In the cotton candy and raspberry lemonade flavours you will find natural colourings, however, in the third flavour paradise cooler the colourings are chemical. You will find here the dyes Allura Worm, Tartrazine and SY Yellow. these are controversial dyes that are rarely ever used in our territory. It should be noted that they are not suitable for children and could affect their attention and hyperactivity.

The adult population need not worry too much about these dyes, in small quantities (as they are in High Volume) they have no negative effect.

Preparation even with a spoon in a few seconds

preparation

I followed the manufacturer's instructions when consuming the preworkout. I mixed one dose of 14g in 200-300 ml of water.

The solubility of the preworkout was absolutely no problem. I used a teaspoon during preparation and everything was dissolved instantly. No lumps or foam formed.

No lumps or foam formed when stirring the preworkout in the shaker either. In short, I was very surprised by the preparation and everything was absolutely trouble free.

Tip: If you want to feel a greater effect in terms of pumping, focus and veining, don't be afraid to increase the dose to say 20-25g. Of course, it will get very expensive.

It will not cost much, but it will be much more expensive than that.

I consume the pre-workout pump roughly 30-40 minutes before the workout to ensure that all substances are sufficiently absorbed during this time.

The second important point is that I always take the pump on an empty stomach. Roughly 90 min after the last solid meal.

I could feel the change on my body, I felt fuller and more focused on my workout after 30 minutes after consuming it. During the first few sets, the muscle areas in question were sufficiently warmed up and pumped up.

There is no form of stimulants in High Volume. So don't expect any rapid increase in energy, rather expect a gradual release of energy and an increase in appetite for training.

I recommend sticking to the minimum recommended dosage from the manufacturer to achieve the effects I describe in the review.

Tip: When consuming, it is important to be at least 1 hour after eating to ensure effective absorption of all substances into the body.

All flavors are very strong and sweet

I did not expect too much from the tested flavors and in a way I did well. At the first sip, I liked all the flavors very much, they were like a sweet juice. However, the longer I drank them, the more they started to bother me as they were too sweet for me. That's the only big minus, I even had to add more water to mitigate the awful sweetness.

finished drink

  • Paradise Cooler (8/10) on first taste a great fruity, summer flavour that I could see myself using more often. However, there is a problem with the over-sweetness of the product. I enjoyed the flavour a lot if I put the resulting drink to cool in the fridge or freezer, where it turned into a fruity, watery ice cream.
  • Cotton Candy (7/10), here the sweetness is felt the most. On the other hand, I suppose it's not surprising when it's supposed to be a cotton candy flavour, which it actually resembles perfectly. It really is an authentic cotton candy flavour, which again I enjoyed the most as long as it was as chilled as possible.
  • Raspberry Limonade (7/10) is a flavour that I didn't exactly smell from the initial opening. It reeks of chemistry and barely resembles raspberry. On the other hand, even when stirred in more water, it still retains a sweet taste and doesn't taste too bad. You can get used to it before training. However, a more credible raspberry flavour is definitely lacking for a better rating.

In the final analysis, there is no chemical aftertaste in any of the flavours, the texture of theThe texture is beautifully watery and there is no insoluble powder inside.

Tip: If you don't like sweet flavours you will need to dilute the pre-workout mix a lot. For 14g I wouldn't be afraid to use up to 600 ml of water.

For High Volume you have to pay extra

The manufacturer PEScience preworkout comes in 252g packs, which cost in conversion 799,- on the E-shops available to us.

There are 18 servings in one whole pack if you stick to the recommended dosage of 14g. In this case, one dose will cost you a total of 44,-, which is higher by our standardshigher price than we are used to, however, the quality and effect of preworkout is worth it.

Compared to competing products it is much more expensive, for example with M3/s Pump from Czech Virus one hardcore dose will cost you .

Tip: For a better taste experience, I recommend pouring the mixture mixed in water into a smaller container and freezing it in the freezer. The result is a very tasty water ice cream.

Final evaluation

This brings us to the end. So is it worth investing in a High Volume pre-workout pump from PEScience? In my opinion, at this high price it is not worth it.

Overall, I was positively surprised by the High Volume. It is a great functional, quality product that definitely has its place in pre-workout supplementation. The effect I felt after using it was very noticeable and most importantly long lasting.

The only big minus on an almost flawless product is the price, which is really extremely high. Unfortunately I have to be honest and for this price it is not worth it at all, I would much rather get a competing product with the same effect for a noticeably lesser price.

The manufacturer PEScience knows how to create quality products that work, however, they are known to charge an unnecessarily high price.

However, if you ever decide to invest in High Volume, you will definitely not be disappointed, it fulfills its purpose to a tee. But if you're more concerned with every penny, get a cheaper alternative instead.
