The name Rich Piana must be very familiar to every bodybuilding fan. In addition to his enormous muscles, this crazy man is also famous for publicly admitting to using large doses of anabolic steroids since he was 18 years old. After retiring from his professional career, he went on to make YouTube videos and run a business. His brand of supplements called 5% Nutrition has gained popularity around the world, so today we decided to take a closer look at some of the products from this line. Specifically, it's the Kill It pre-workout, which has been showered with positive feedback from all sides. How satisfied were we with it and is it worth trying? You'll find all the important answers in this review.
Content of the review
Whenever a famous bodybuilder associates his name with a supplement brand, a huge number of people focus on it. Young athletes hope that with supplements from their idol they will achieve the same results as him, others tend to trust more the product that bears the name of some authority. In short, we all expect something extra from such supplements. However, we have tried to be as objective and unbiased as possible when testing this product. How did it turn out?
A supercharged formula that leaves nothing to chance
Getting the formulation right is a true art that separates the average product from the premium one. Kill It is more in the latter category. In fact, it has a very varied composition that promises a truly extreme workout. What are the most important ingredients in each dose?
- 4 000 mg of L-citrulline - accelerates blood circulation and supports performance
- 2 000 mg of beta alanine - promotes concentration and delays fatigue
- 1 400 mg of Magna Power creatine - a patented form of creatine for better absorption
- 1,000 mg of taurine - for maximum concentration and better transport of nutrients into muscle cells
- 500 mg of N-acetyl L-tyrosine - the best bioavailable form of tyrosine, which is a precursor to adrenaline and noradrenaline
- 250 mg of caffeine - ensures maximum kick
- 125 mg L-norvaline - increases nitric oxide production
- 42 mg of potassium citrate - promotes proper nerve impulse conduction and protein synthesis
- 24 mg sodium citrate - improves carbohydrate absorption and delays muscle fatigue
Also worth mentioning are the colorants used, which you will encounter in all available flavors. In fact, each one contains at least one of the trio of brilliant blue, allura red or tartrazine, all of which have relatively high harmfulness scores.
The flavour will definitely not blow your mind
A common problem with powdered pre-workouts is that they dissolve poorly in water and leave lumps. Fortunately, this is not the case with Kill It, which actually has a pretty good consistency and is no problem to mix properly. The taste is a bit worse. I have personal experience only with the Fruit Punch flavour, so the other variants may differ in many ways. In this case, however, I probably didn't taste it twice. Kill It tastes quite artificial and has the typical unpleasant aftertaste that you often encounter in other products. The taste is of course very strong, but that's usually the case with most pre-workouts. On the other hand, it must be said that one never drinks a pre-workout because of the taste. The most important thing is the final effect.
A kick that leaves you unable to stand still
You can tell a good pre-workout by the fact that it doesn't let you stand still, let alone sit still. I expect a really good preworkout to get me up on my feet even after the hardest day and allow me to push my workout to the limit. If I was critical of the taste assessment, I will now praise it instead. Kill It works perfectly. If you're not used to stronger pre-workouts, you might be a little surprised at how well this preworkout goes. Personally, I tried it during a period when I was only taking caffeine in coffee and the restI avoided stimulants altogether, and I have to say, it's been pretty good. But be careful to get the dosage right before using it. On the original packaging, the manufacturer recommends one whole scoop as one dose. But according to Czech legislation, the dosage is adjusted to correspond to half a dose, i.e. about half a scoop.
Surprisingly friendly price
One dose of Kill It will set you back about , which is a very good price considering the effects. But if you decide to use only half a scoop (as recommended by Czech legislation), one dose will cost you about . It is definitely not easy to get a quality pre-workout for such a price. In addition, you don't have to worry about the fact that half a scoop is not enough. Whatever you decide, Kill It comes out really well in terms of price, especially in terms of value for money.
Kill It won't let you down
In conclusion, I'll just repeat what has been said here before. The Kill It is a really solid pre-workout that gets the job done reliably and I believe you will be happy with it. Taste-wise, it will definitely not wow you, but that's not the point. Moreover, in terms of price, it is a very good buy. Ultimately, I can highly recommend it to anyone who expects a preworkout to beI expect maximum functionality and a good kick in the pants before a hard workout.
