|In today's review I have a treat for you. This is a dietary supplement that we don't normally write reviews on because there is simply nothing to test on them, either its functional or not. However, we decided to make an exception for this one, as it is a completely unique product in its category that is second to none.
It is specifically digestive enzymes from Life Extension. You must be thinking that there is nothing to be fancy about digestive enzymes. On the Czech market we can find classic digestive enzymes based on 5 basic enzymes under the branded raw material Digezyme (very commonor in better cases you can even find a combination of 7 well-known enzymes under the patented brand Opti-7 Digest. In the case of Life Extension, however, up to 10 unique digestiveenzymes that together form the perfect complex for your digestion. That's the main reason we decided we had to try this product for ourselves and get a little exposure.
But how did these digestive enzymes hold up during our testing? Is it really worth investing in them and did I feel any effect after taking them? Find out in today's review.

You probably won't even know the manufacturer of Life Extension. It is a complete novelty, which appeared on the Czech market only this year. This happened largely thanks to Mr. Robert Humpál from bodybuilding.com, who has been using this brand for many years and praising it on his social networks. Thanks to him, it is now possible to order Life Extension supplements conveniently on the Czech market.
However, on an international scale, Life Extension is a huge, well-respected brand that enjoys great popularity. It is based mainly on dietary supplements of the highest quality, unique composition and are focused onThey are focused on supplements for human health, revitalizing the body, improving sleep, digestion and so on.
It is truly an original brand that in my opinion has no competition. Their products may be slightly more expensive than you are used to so far, but I wouldn't even bother with that here. These are not marketing gimmicks, but truly functional products that have no fault of their own.
But enough with the introductory words, now let's finally get down to the review itself.
Ingredients that are scientifically fine-tuned to the smallest detail
The main and basically the only place in the composition is occupied by these baThe main ingredient is the essential digestive enzymes, which provide many benefits for our digestive tract.
Although it probably won't tell you anything, it is a vegetarian blend of enzymes (literally anyone can take it).based on the enzymes protease, bromelain, lactase, cellulase, lipase, alpha galactosidase, hemicellulase, pectinase, protease 3.0 and xylanase.
Just listing these digestive enzymes is very debilitating, isn't it?
Very simply and in a nutshell, this is a completely unique blend of 10 enzymes that you are guaranteed not to find elsewhere on the market. Literally all the enzymes you could possibly need to digest all macronutrients (protein, carbohydratesfats) as well as all kinds of micronutrients, fibre or burdensome, anti-nutrients. From my point of view, this is a huge advantage when you're ingesting a huge amount of food that you want to get literally the most out of.
Second in the formula, there are also extra added probiotics under the patented brand nameLactospore brand, which adds to the whole digestive enzyme complex and supports your gut microbiome. This ensures even better digestion and absorption of nutrients into the body. It's not even a negligible amount just for the label, in one single capsule there is 1 billion CFU of probiotics, which to give you an idea is equivalent to about 100g of Greek yoghurt (in terms of the amount of probiotics)
Lastly, the capsule itself is made up of microcrystalline and vegetable cellulose. They are therefore also suitable for vegans, which is very popular nowadays. The whole blend of digestive enzymes and probiotics is combined and preserved by triglycerides with the digestivechain, which doesn't put any strain on our digestion. On the contrary, they still have the ability to support digestion.
In the composition of the product we find a really functional amount of digestive enzymes
It's important to note that in just one capsule alone, you'll find an incredible 140 mg of digestive enzymes along with 1 billion CFU of Lactospore probiotic units.I don't know if these numbers mean anything to you, but this is an absolutely sufficient amountthat should definitely help your digestion (unless there's a problem somewhere else). The standard competing digestive enzymes only contain 100 mg of digestiveof digestive enzymes, and even fewer in most cases (7 or 5).
And if you're eating a really big meal (a 2000 kcal cheat meal, for example), I recommend you use 2-3 capsules at a time to avoid any digestive problems, abdominal pain or increased flatulence.
Is it advisable to include digestive enzymes in a regular diet?
I have created a separate heading for this question just in case, because it is very important.
I strictly do not recommend the use of digestive enzymes year-round, as you may disrupt yourthe stimulation and production of your own digestive enzymes in your stomach, which could end up being a huge problem.
For this reason, I recommend taking enzymes only when you are sure you really need them. This is when you're having, for example, a cheat meal or a refeed meal (to replenish glycogen in your muscles). The other option is to take enzymes in the second half and at the end of the diet, when you want to get the most out of every bite and get the maximum number of nutrients in.
But I definitely don't recommend taking them on a daily basis with every meal, every day. That would be a journey that would be very hard to come back from.
That's why digestive enzymes need to be minimally cycled, or not used at all and only included in the diet (as I mentioned above). In volume, instead of enzymes alone, I would rather include various other fiddles like apple cider vinegar before meals, pangamine, probiotics, prebiotics and so on.
How and when did I take enzymes?
Taking digestive enzymes per se is purely an individual matter and some people just use smaller amounts, while others need higher amounts. It should also be noted that even adding digestive enzymes will not ensure perfect digestion, as the problems may lie elsewhere.
As I myself am currently at the end of a hard diet, Life Extension's digestive enzymes have helped me to healto get the most out of my important meals, and as a result, I've also felt more at ease for longer.
But even at this stage I wasn't taking the product with every meal. I only used it for the biggest and most important mealsmeals at most twice a day and always immediately before a meal (about 1-2 minutes).
The second way of using the product was to include it on days when I had elevated carbohydrates (so called. I used to use the food on a refeed day, when the digestive enzymes helped me to use the food better and fill my muscles.
For me, these were the only justifiable times I took the supplement. At the same time, when I'm done dieting, I plan to completely eliminate them from my diet.
Immediate effect at the first use?
The biggest advantage when taking a similar trá-based supplementis the fact that you should feel their effect immediately after use. For the best effect, it is recommended to use the capsule immediately before starting a meal or during the first few mouthfuls.
A really high price, which few people will chew
The only stumbling block for Life Extension is the price. In this case, it goes up to on the bodybuilding.com e-shop, which is a high price for digestive enzymes. In one package you will find only 60 capsules, so one dose will cost you .
On the other hand, the recommended dosage is one capsule per day and in that case the pack would last you for 2 whole months, but realistically I think one capsule is not enough. If you really need it, I would use two at once and in that case it will get very expensive.
When I compare Life Extension with competing digestive enzymes from Extrifit, for example, the ones from Extrifit come out many times better in the price/performance ratio. We can buy the whole package for a whopping 239,-, and there are 90 capsules in the package. Here one capsule costs 3,-, which is a really big difference.
Evaluation in conclusion
So is it worth investing in Enhanced Super Digestive Enzymes from Life Extension? Unfortunately, I have to say no.
From my own experience I know that digestive enzymes from the competitor Extrifit, which also come out much, much cheaper, are sufficient. In fact, I can't even think of a scenario in which I'd rather recommend gettingto go for the overpriced ones from Life Extension, because I simply don't see such a huge benefit in them.
Of course, for those who don't have to deal with money in any way, and who want to add to their bodythe best possible quality, Life Extension is the obvious choice. They certainly have no competition in effect, but nowadays the price factor plays a big role.
In conclusion, I would like to say that I enjoyed taking the supplement, the positive effects I felt, the quality is undoubtedly at the topIt has its uses, but I will not buy it again because of the high price. Regardless of it, I was maximally satisfied.
