What is NMN?
If you are at least a little familiar with the Latin names of the different vitamins, you will know that nicotinamide is the name forfor vitamin B3, and the substance known as NMN (nicotinamide mononucleotide) is a close relative. And although not enough human studies have been done at this stage, the results of the animal studies currentlyare looking very interesting and some studies are even talking about the fountain of youth. In short, the idea is that NMN is converted in our bodies into NAD, which plays an important role in energy production, among other things. However, NAD levels naturally decline over the course of life, and this is logically one of the reasons why the ability to maintain vitality and strength declines in older people. But in addition, there is also research that shows improvements in insulin sensitivity in overweight and post-menopausal women. It is worth noting that this supplement contains 250 mg of NMN and the purity of the product is checked by Minus Age, a company founded by two doctors, in collaboration with the Faculty of Pharmacy of Masaryk University.
How is the product used?
As we mentioned earlier, this supplement contains 250 mg of NMN, which is generally considered sufficient, although some studies work with higher doses. On the other hand, it is important to mention that there are also studies where participants used more than 1000 mg of thebut did not show better results than those with a slightly lower dosage. NMN from Minus Age has a huge advantage in that you only need to take one single capsule, so you don't have to measure anything out or laboriously swallow several tablets.
What effect have we seen?
Minus Age's NMN supplement is often touted for its anti-aging properties. We, therefore, decided to test it within our team on a long-term basis for a full 30 days to be able to share the results in a relevant way. And we have to admit that they surprised us. After the aforementioned month we actually felt very good, we were less tired during the day and at the same time we didn't even notice any negative benefits that caffeine, for example, can have in fighting fatigue. It is clear that in such a small sample it is very difficult to distinguish whether this is a placebo or a real effect of the supplement, but it is worths is a very interesting observation, which we did not expect and which we found very pleasantly surprising when taking NMN.
What do we say about the price?
NMN is a supplement that currently looks very promising and although there aren't too many relevant studies yet, it looks really promising. And it's also worth adding that it tends to be well tolerated even at high doses. And when you add to that the fact that it is a supplement whose quality is regularly checkedit's clear that this supplement is not going to be a cheap affair. At the time of writing this review, you will pay just under a thousand for a one month packc crowns and it should be noted that you will get the most out of this supplement with long-term use. After a month, however, you will have a good idea of how you react to the supplement and whether it is worth the money. However, we definitely recommend trying it at least once, as we see relatively high potential in it.
Final assessment.
Minus Age's NMN is a good supplement from our perspective, which of course reflects the growing interest in this substance across scientific studies and lay users alike. And while you have to pay extra for it, frankly, it's definitely worth a try in our opinion. We were genuinely surprised by its effects in our editorial office, so we definitely recommend giving it a try.
