There are dozens of proteins on the market and a huge part of them is aimed at bodybuilders and strength athletes. But the use of good whey protein is much broader, and with one great option atMixit has come out with a great product that is far from just plain protein, but much more than that. So we decided to give their Mixit Drink a try and we'll share our observations with you in our review.
Content of the review
Mixit Drink is just protein, fiber and fruit
Mixit drink with its nutritional profile may not completely please some hardcore bodybuilders, but for recreationalathletes and people who can't manage a solid meal because of a hectic day, it's perfect for them. In addition to the classic whey concentrate (made by the way by the best possible method called CFM), it also contains soluble corn fiber. The fruit flavours actually contain freeze-dried fruit, the caramel variant contains caramel powder and the chocolate flavour, of course, has chocolate powder. In addition, the flavours also feature a complex of 7 digestive enzymes to ensure maximum usability. No controversial sweeteners or other ingredients to spoil the overall positive impression.
And why have fiber in your protein anyway? For two simple reasons - firstly, it fills you up perfectly and secondly, it also provides food for the bacteria living in our intestines. In addition to the positive effect on digestion of the whey protein itself, the effect is enhanced by the soluble fibre.
How did we like Mixit Drink?
Thanks to Mixit's helpful approach to our independent reviews, we had the opportunity to try several differentMixit Drink and we have to be honest and say that each one had something to offer and there wasn't a single one that we didn't like. But if we had to pick just 3 best products, it would be:
- Blueberry- We consider this Mixit drink to be the best ever in our editorial office. Besides the creamy texture, we were also impressed by the subtle flavor, which is great in both water and milk. Thanks to the 15% blueberry content, the taste is quite intense and authentic - especially when you realizewhen you think about how chemically some proteins taste, which have a blueberry flavour but you've only actually seen blueberries from an aeroplane. In addition to blueberries, you can also register coconut and banana in the flavor, which is nice and refreshing.
- Salted Caramel - The salted caramel was also absolutely amazing, and especially stood out when made in milk. In water, it may seem a little bland to some, however, it came across quite naturally to us and although the caramel flavours can be unbearably over-sweetened and artificial, in the case of Mixit we were not bothered by any of the problems.
- Raspberry - Our favorite trio is rounded out by the raspberry Mixit Drink, which we also have to to appreciate for its incredible lightness as well as its extremely distinct flavour, which this time stands out in both water and milk. This variant contains 20% freeze-dried raspberries, which is really noticeable in the taste and for summer and fruit lovers, the raspberry drink is an absolute must-have.

How did we prepare the Mixit Drink?
When you want to prepare a Mixit Drink, it's absolutely simple and quick. Just pour 200ml of water or milk into a shaker, add 4 tablespoons of the drink and shake the shaker for a while. This option is great for when you want a drink that will fill you up quickly on the go, for example. However, if you have time and are making the Mixit Drink at home, you can make it even better. We have found it useful to use yoghurt in addition to water when making the drink and possiblyYou can also add the fruit used in the product (we loved the extra portion of blueberries in the blueberry version). It's a good idea to blend the ingredients in this way with a stick blender and you have a complete snack that even we, as nearly 100 kg athletes, were able to satiate for a few hours.
When does it come in handy and when not?
But Mixit Drink is not for everyone. It's a great choice for can, for women and can be used by children without any worries. Even we, as athletes, really appreciated it and it's actually nice to have a product to fill you up for three to four hours. But it's not a protein that we would recommend, for example, in the close vicinity of training, when fibre intake may not be entirely desirable. After all, that's also why we didn't include Mixit Drink in our ranking of the best whey proteins. But that doesn't change the fact that Mixit Drink is nutritionally great and, more importantly, incredibly delicious product that will appeal to those of you who find conventional proteins artificial.
You'll have to pay extra, but that's the way it is
Compared to classic whey proteins, Mixit Drink is definitely not a cheap affair and you can usually find a 300 gram pack for around . Considering that the recommended dose can be up to 60 grams, that sounds really crazy to some. However, this drink should not be seen as a simple protein, but rather as a complex food. Similar to MANA or Anapur, which we also reviewedfor you . And for the proportions of a complex food that naturally tastes and reliably fills you up, it's certainly not excessive.
Well, that's all for today's review! The bottom line: while Mixit Drink isn't exactly a cheap option, it's a tasty and healthy snack that you can reach for anytime without regret.
