Of course, MyProtein is not the only brand that has decided to create supplements specifically for women. Another such brand is the well-known GymBeam. On their official website, you can find not only multivitamins for women, but also fat burners or so-called beauty drinks. All this under the name "PinkBeast".

At first glance, an unbeatable formula, but...

A total of 32 active ingredients makes Active Women truly amazing at first glance multivitamin that every woman should buy without thinking twice. And actually, no wonder, we really find here basically all important substances for human health. As far as vitamins are concerned, there is no shortage of vitamins A, C, D, E, K or vitamins B1, B2, B5, B6, B7, B9 and B12. Of the minerals, there is mainly zinc, calcium, iron, copper, selenium, magnesium and chromium.
If you have only counted 19 active substances so far, you have counted correctly. There is much more in Active Women. In addition to vitamins and minerals, it also contains extracts of Korean ginseng and grapegrape seeds, antioxidants in the form of citrus bioflavonoids, alpha-lipoic acid, beta-carotene and coenzyme Q10.
But that's not all. In addition, there are also the digestive enzymes papain, bromelain, lipase and amylase, and last but not least inositol, which can have a positive effect on ovulation, menstrual cycle regularity and ovarian function in women. In addition, the vast majority of vitamins and minerals are present in the following amounts more or less equivalent to the average recommended daily allowance.
Ideally, I would rate the composition here with the words that it is one of the bestI would end with the best multivitamin on the market and we would all be more than satisfied. But as it is with great looking products, nothing is as it seems at first glance. In fact, although the ingredients of some products, not including this one, may appear at first at first glance, it's always the form of the ingredients that you need to watch out for.
Unfortunately, this is where the Active Women formula starts to fall a little flat. The vast majority of the minerals are found in inorganic and therefore not very useful for our body, such as sulfates, chlorides or oxides. The honourable exception is chromium picolinate. And that Active Women is designed exclusively for women? It doesn't really matter. If we look at the composition of the male alternative called Alpha Men, we won't really see any rapid difference.

Active Woman

Pleasant, but a little problematic dosage

The manufacturer recommends taking one tablet per day, ideally with food. Thus, one pack of 120 tablets should last you roughly four months. Which is a very pleasant dosage that is definitely worthwhile to some extent. There is a catch, though.
Apart from the fact that the vast majority of the minerals in Active Women are contained in the inorganicand therefore almost unusable by our bodies, there is another problem. Minerals react badly with proteins, as a result of which they should be taken either fasting or before bedtime, depending on their form. Unfortunately, this doesn't quite correspond with the recommended dosage, which emphasizes taking Active Women with food. Why is that? It could be the vitamins.
Lipophilic vitamins actually need fats for proper and efficient absorption in our bodies. This is why, unlike minerals, we should take them with food. However, since this is the malady of the vast majority of supplements containing both vitamins and minerals, there is basically nothing that can be done about it. Or can it?

Our tip
There is one solution to this problem after all. If you really want to avoid the problematic dosage of vitamins and minerals all together, check out Nutrend supplements. This is the brand that dealt with this problem perfectly when they decided to split vitamins and minerals into two different tablets.

Affordability

A pack of 120 tablets is currently available on the official MyProtein website for . A single dose will cost you less than . The price is more than pleasant and I wouldn't be surprised if you would buy Active Women for it without hesitation. Just for comparison I will mention here that the same size pack of the very popular Nexgen multivitamins from Reflex brand comes out a little cheaper. And it even ranked very well in our comparison of the best multivitamins.

Final verdict

So how do I ultimately rate MyProtein Active Women? Rather unsurprisingly, I have to conclude that it is a pretty solid multivitamin in whichm you will find basically all the substances important for optimal human health. The problem, however, is the very fact that a large part of these substances is contained in inorganic and therefore not very useful for humans.
So if I were to recommend a multivitamin, it would probably be the aforementioned Nexgen from Reflex or a multivitamin and multimineral from Nutrend. While both are slightly more expensive in price, in my opinion they are much more sophisticated supplements.
