For this time we have prepared a review of one of the proteins from MyProtein, Impact Whey Isolate. Given the general familiarity of this brand, I was quite surprised to find out that we have only reviewed flavdrops from this brand so far. But of course, that will change with this review. So if you're thinking of buying this particular protein or are simply interested in its ingredients or price, definitely keep reading. You will find out all the essentials in this review.
Content of the review
Anyone who has been in the fitness world for a while must have come across the MyProtein brand at least once. This is an English company that has been with us since 2004. Since then, it has seen a huge boom and currently its products are available in more than 70 countries around the world.
Ingredients that don't exactly impress twice
As the name Impact Whey Isolate may have already told you, it is a whey isolate. What does that mean for us? Simply that it is a very pure form of whey protein with minimal content of not only fats and carbohydrates, but also lactose. For lactose intolerant individuals, isolates are a much more suitable form of protein than concentrates. In addition, because they are an almost pure source of protein, isolates are also very quickly digestible. In this respect, Impact Whey Isolate is quite a good product.
As far as the pros are concerned, however, that is unfortunately all. It also contains soy lecithin and artificial sweetener in the form of sucralose. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that this is something terrible or unacceptable, not at all. Both soy lecithin and sucralose are used by an enormous number of manufacturers and can be found in a really large number of proteins across brands. And that's the problem. Impact Whey Isolate simply doesn't offer anything extra. Instead of soy lecithin, the manufacturer could have used a more acceptable alternative in the form of sunflower lecithin. And sucralose, while not harmful, is still just an artificial sweetener. A more natural sweetener in the form of stevia would be a very welcome change.
In addition, there are no digestive enzymes such as papain, bromelain or lactase in the composition of this product. I do not know about you, but I personally always feel their absence quite visibly. Bottom line, Impact Whey Isolate is a bit of a disappointment in terms of ingredients. It's an isolate, but unfortunately it's an absolutely mediocre isolate that offers no extraIt contains only the most commonly used substances that you would be hard pressed to find in a really high quality protein.

Very pleasant nutritional values
Although I wasn't very pleased with the composition of this protein, I have to admit that I didn't have any major problems with its solubility. It left almost no lumps and although it was perhaps a little too creamy for meconsistency, it was easy to get over it and I even got used to it over time.
In terms of nutritional values, Impact Whey Isolate has a very pleasant 373 kcal per 100g. Since it is an isolate, the amount of protein is a great 90 g per 100 g. In one 25 g serving, you will find approximately 23 g of protein, which are definitely very good values. The carbohydrate content of this protein is 2.5 g per 100 g. In terms of nutritional values, this protein is definitely a very pleasant surprise for me.
Taste rating
And here comes the most important item for many of us in this review, which is of course the taste. However, I must warn you in advance that I unfortunately only had the opportunity to try one of the unreportedof the twenty-three flavours on offer. So how do I rate this one flavour?
Natural Chocolate is a flavour from which, of course, I did not expect God knows how many miracles. Even so, this flavor unfortunately disappointed me in a downright extreme way. I really have no idea if it's because I'm spoiled by an absolutely great tasting protein from a brandProtein&Co or it's the simple fact that Impact Whey Isolate is simply a disgusting tasting protein. But I haven't had such an artificial and weird tasting chocolate flavor in a long time, and I seriously envy anyone who enjoys that taste.
A little more complicated affordability
So how does Impact Whey Isolate fare in terms of affordability? Here it's a little more complicated than usual. While on the manufacturer's official website a one-pound pack of this protein will cost you , on the fitness007 website you can get the same pack for just . So you will either pay just under or just for a single dose. Which is a hell of a difference.
But no matter how I look at it, even a more affordable price won't change my negative attitude towards this product. Just for comparison, a kilo pack of the aforementioned Protein&Co protein can be bought for . Qualitatively, Impact Whey Isolate is not even close to this protein.
Final verdict
In the end, I cannot give Impact Whey Isolate from MyProtein a positive assessment. It's an isolate though, so basically a pure whey protein with straight up great nutritional values. Otherwise, it is an absolutely mediocre protein that relies on safety and offers nothing interesting in its composition. When asked whether it is worth investing in it, I have to say no.
For a similar price you can find better quality proteins with much better taste and, most importantly, composition. However, if you still decide to invest your money in the MyProtein brand, rather than from the officialrather than the brand's website, I would buy this protein through the above-mentioned fitness007 portal. On the other hand, on our website you will find a discount code for the first purchase There you can get Impact Whey Isolate for a much more affordable price. Personally, I would rather reach for a protein from such brands as Prom-In, Reflex, CzechVirus or the already mentioned Protein&Co.
