I have always tried to rate all the supplements you find in our reviews as objectively as possible. And that's why, quite frankly, I admit that I' ve always had a bit of a problem with Nutrend products. I've had a lot of problems with Nutrend - their 100% Whey Protein gave me intestinal problems instead of muscles, Explosin pre-workout gave meI don't get much of a kick even at double the dose, and the protein bars have such a simplesugars that there's not much of a "healthy alternative" to speak of.
No wonder I have avoided Nutrend products. That is, until now. After Training Protein, which is supposed to provide the athlete's body with all the necessary nutrients after training, appealed to me. But what is its composition? And what about digestibility? Is it worth buying or is it better to stick to proven proteins? Find out all this in today's review.
Content of the review
I decided to try After Training Protein in chocolate flavour, but you can also choose from two other flavours (vanilla and strawberry). And now to the actual experience and evaluation of this product.

Does it really give me everything I need after a workout?
As usual, I will start the review with what is most important in any supplement, namely the ingredients. And just as per tradition, I would first highlight some of the positives:
- The most important one for me is that all proteins have their origin in whey and are therefore fully usable. Specifically, After Training Protein is made up of 20% whey concentrate (in the case of vanilla and strawberry flavours), 19% isolate and 8% left for hydrolysate.
- As an additional advantage, I would definitely mention the quality of most of the ingredients used - in this product you will find, for example, magnesium bisglycinate, which is one of the most usefulforms of magnesium ever, as well as gluten-free cereal carbohydrate complex, l-glutamine, colostrum, BCAA and personally I also like the use of cocoa to flavor the chocolate flavor.
But like most similar products, After Training Protein has its negatives.
- I personally find the use of magnesium oxide to be a big bummer. Less than 4% of this substance is used and its original purpose was to treat constipation. At the same time, as most of you have probably figured out, it is a very cheap substance.
- The second disadvantage for me is the low protein content. If I am to get all the nutrients I need from this product after a workout, certainly less than 19g of protein is not enough in a 45g serving of protein.

Totally overpriced
Although the price of for a 2.5kg pack does not seem so high, it is necessary to point out that one dose is not the classic 30 but 45 grams. This means that the price of one dose is ! To give you an objective idea, one dose of the winner of our top 10 proteins comes out about cheaper.
As a result, the price is totally overpriced from my point of view and I would personally prefer to have a little bit more after eachevery workout I would buy fresh fruit than to pay so much for the fact that my protein will contain maltodextrin and palatinose.
When and how did I use After Training protein?
As the name probably implies, the ideal time to take After Training Protein is post-workout. It will not only supply the body with protein, but also carbohydrates to replenish muscle glycogen, l-glutamine and BCAAs for betterfor better recovery and a blend of vitamins to reduce fatigue and exhaustion.
I dumped one serving (45g) into a shaker and blendedwith 250ml of water until the protein was free of lumps.
Chocolate? Never more
Since I've only tried After Training Protein in the chocolate variant, I can't rate it completely objectively. But when it comes to this flavour, I have to say that it is perhaps the worst chocolate protein I've ever had. Unlike such 100% Pure Whey from Biotech it wasn't creamy and thick at all, but basically had the consistency of a little bit thicker water.
The chocolate didn't impress me with anything, I found it bland. My only praise is that despite the relatively high carbohydrate content, the protein isn't overly sweet. Otherwise, I didn't find anything that attracted me to this flavor, except perhaps the lumps that still remained in the protein after a few minutes of stirring.

Final evaluation
While I personally am definitely not going to use After Training Protein again, I think it can be a relatively good alternative for themsomeone who doesn't want to deal with any additional supplements or fruit and just want to get the important nutrients in after a workout. On the other hand, in that case you have to expect to pay a bit extra for the protein.
