There are really few companies that give me the same impression as Nutrend. While some supplements are really well thought out, have a head and a heel and work well, others are at most just a bunch of simple sugars in a glossy package.
So where does the N1 pre-workout belong, which we'veour testing of the best pre-workoutswe tried? Is it worth investing in, or is it a wasted investment? That's what we'll look at in our review today.
Content of the review
As a preface, we also examined the N1 in our big video review of pre-workouts, which will soon be released on our YouTube channel. So if you want a quick few-minute comparison, be sure to subscribe to our channel in the meantime.
Ingredients in which you will find everything you need
Honestly, I have to say that even though I was pompous when buying this supplementI was rather skeptical, after studying the ingredients thoroughly, I changed my mind. In N1 you will find everything you need for a good workout. And although some of the ingredients could perhaps be a little more concentrated, in proportion to theprice and quality ratio, which we will discuss in today's review, this product comes out very well. So let's take a look at what you'll find in one 17g serving:
- 3500mg of beta-alanine for better endurance, strength and energy
- 3500mg of L-arginine-alpha-ketoglutarate to maximize NO production
- 3235mg of creatine blend for greater strength
- 2250mg L-citrulline malate for maximum pumping and better hormonal response
- 500mg L-Tyrosine to delay fatigue
- 500mg of vitamin C, which is particularly useful before training for its energising effects
- 200mg of caffeine for maximum concentration for training and better sweating
- 53.6mg of B vitamins, which are essential for protein, carbohydrate and fat metabolism
- 20mg of DMAE to delay fatigue
- 10mg of black pepper extract to increase absorption of other substances
Well, when you also take into account the fact that the entire supplement is sweetened only with sucralose and steviol glycosides, there's nothing to worry about at all. The composition is therefore very decent and although I would have liked a higher dose of citrulline instead of AAKG, whichis more effectiveI was completely satisfied.
Hassle-free preparation
I mostly used about 300ml of water to prepare N1, because at that amount I found the pre-workout tasted the best ever. If you want to cut down on the intense flavor, I definitely recommend adding water. However, if you're going to work out later and don't want to drink a lot of water, for example, feel free to use just 150ml.
The pre-workout dissolves very well even without the shaker, so if you drink it beforeYou don't need to dirty the shaker and just use a regular glass and spoon.
Pleasant taste
Taste-wise, N1 provides a very good compromise between bitter and intense-tasting pre-workouts and over-sweetened artificial additives. The grapefruit variant I tried was very refreshing, with only a very minimal chemical aftertaste and could be compared to the fizzy multivitamins available in some supermarkets, for example.
The taste of N1 is also good in any amount of water, it can be drunk without any problemst in 100ml as well as in one litre, when the taste is of course harder to detect, but the grapefruit is still quite noticeable.
Reliable effect
If I said the N1 was the best pre-workout I've ever tried, I'd be lying. On the other hand, it fulfilled its effect as a pre-workout supplement more than adequately, as you really noticed better blood flow and of course, much better concentration for training, higher sweating and later onset of fatigue. So my expectations were definitely met by N1.
Price-wise, N1 works out very well indeed
When it comes to the price of the N1 pre-workout, I have to be honest and admit that I was once again pleasantly surprised. For the whole package, which has 510g, you pay , which corresponds to the price of for one 17g dose.
Considering the fact that some competing products cost several times more, this is really a very pleasant price. N1 is therefore really suitable for students or recreational exercisers who simplye don't need the highest quality because their training is not as demanding.
Final evaluation
N1 is a supplement so good that we had no hesitation in including it in our top ten pre-workout supplements. It still loses to the best ones, but its effect is very solid and at a price that will please even many students. So if you are on a budget, N1 from Nutrend is a very suitable choice that you won't take a step wrong.
