What comes to mind when it comes to some complete meal replacements? For me personally, popularized products without any justification and with a minimal production cost.
But Prom-IN, following the example of supplements like MRE by Redcon1 or Real Food by Riche Piana, has produced something that completely shatters the aforementioned illusions. What makes Pentha Pro Complete different? Which flavour is the best? Is this product worth it? Find out this and much more in our review today.
Content of the review
For completeness, I'll just add that for this review, I tried both of the two flavors available so that I could objectively recommend the one I liked better.
Ingredients that we have nothing to complain about
I think it's completely unnecessary to rate each protein source individually, because we did that in Pentha Pro Balance review and in the case of Pentha Pro Complete, the protein sources used are the same. So if you're more interested in this ingredient, definitely check out the previous review. In today's one, we should pay more attention to the carbohydrates, and the other ingredients that are more than appropriately chosen:
- Dried sweet potato powder - Sweet potatoes are a great food that you can certainly know from many American bodybuilders. Their energy value is roughly half that of a regular potato, which is why they are perfect for anyone looking to increase their caloric intake. But they are also high in iron, fibre and many vitamins.
- Corn starch - This is a vegetable polysaccharide that can handle providing energy for an extended period of time. It has a low glycemic index and therefore the body uses the glucose it contains more slowly than other foods.
- Maltodextrin - It is a convenient source of energy for athletes because it is made up of three to seventeen glucoseIt has a glycaemic index just below that of simple carbohydrates.
In addition to the protein, which is identical to Pentha Pro Complete, and the carbohydrates listed above, Pentha Pro Complete contains moreis a complex of several essential ingredients for athletes , which we could also introduce one by one:
- Opti-7-digesttm, an enzymatic blend that aims to improve the digestion of the individual nutrients in the product. Although these mixtures are also used by some manufacturers for proteins, there they do not have aThere is little justification for these blends in proteins because they lack the representation of all macronutrients. In Pentha Pro Complete, fats, carbohydrates, fibre and protein are all represented, so the digestive enzyme complex has a strong justification.
- The amino acid leucine, which is a key branched-chain amino acid and provides post-workout protein synthesis.
- The amino acid glutamine, which has a beneficial effect on the immune system and is also one of the most abundant amino acids in skeletal muscle.
- MCT fats are medium-chain triglycerides that serve as a quick source of energy. At the same time, they are capable of speeding up overall metabolism and improving the gut microbiome, making them a very effective component of a post-workout supplement.
- B vitamins, vitamin C, lactobacilli and bifidobacteria as a complex serve to maximize the functionality of the product.
Sucralose and neohesperidin were used to sweeten the product, two of the least controversial sweeteners that we can definitely recommend and you would be hard pressed to find a better choice. All in all, Pentha Pro Complete contains a formula that we have nothing to fault.
How did I prepare Pentha Pro Complete?
As far as the manufacturer's recommendation goes, it suggests taking 2 scoops (50g) of Pentha Pro Complete with 250ml of water or milk. I personally had to modify the dosage a bit and use roughly 350ml, as otherwise this supplement would be unbearably sweet for my taste.
It goes without saying that the fat from the milk will prolong absorption, but if Pentha Pro Complete is takenif you use Pentha Pentha at any time other than after a workout, the prolonged absorption is not a problem. On the contrary, it may be desirable for some of you. And since the taste is much better afterwards, I can only recommend the milk.
Both variants are simply disappointing when mixed in water
- Chocolate Ice Cream Option (7.5 out of 10)- From my perspective, the chocolate ice creamoption is by far the better option. Once mixed, you get a drink with a fairly thick and creamy consistency that reminiscent of the company's lamented flagship, the CFM Evolution. When drinking it, however, my feelings were very mixed. On the one hand I really appreciated the rather natural taste, on the other hand the drink was quite sweet for my taste, even though I used more water than the manufacturer declares. The chocolate can be smelled, but I can't say that it was overly intense. In addition, Pentha Pro Complete leaves a rather strange aftertaste in the mouth and an unpleasant coating on the teeth. However, if you use milk, you get a completely different product. Suddenly it tastes much better, reminiscent of various milkshakes, only with a good composition. And when I think about it deeply, it even reminds me of real ice cream, which I haven't really recognized in any other protein. I rate the flavor 6 out of 10 when stirred in water and 9 when stirred in milk.
- Vanilla ice cream variant (7 out of 10) - The vanilla ice cream rating is very similar to the chocolate rating. Until you stir it in milk, it is not particularly attractive. It is quite sweet, creamy and thick, but the flavour itself doesn't stand out much in water. If you dissolve the recommended amount in milk, you may well enjoy it. Not only the flavour but also the pleasant vanilla aroma stands out much more, which cannot be rated other than 8.5 points. But if you want to mix Pentha Pro Complete in water, it certainly doesn't deserve more than 5 points.
The chocolate and vanilla ice cream variant is also offered by, for example, the multi-ingredient protein MPS-5 from Czech Virus, which we also testedand therefore I can afford a comparison. I have to say that this one tasted great in water, whereas Pentha Pro Complete needs milk. So Czech Virus comes out of this flavour battle a little better, but they are different products, which of course needs to be taken into account.
When is the perfect time to use Pentha Pro?
Very often you write to us asking what protein to choose when you don't have time for a solid diet. And Pentha Pro Complete is a simple and effective solution, if only for the fact that it combines carbohydrates in addition to several protein sources.
But it's also a great breakfast, especially if you don't feel like eating in the morning. It fills you up nicely, but since you don't have to take a bite, you're able to drink it even when you feel bloated. I myself used it just as a substitute for some meals when I was just busy with work and couldn't get enough of it.

Of course, you'll have to pay extra
As you probably correctly assume, the price for this supplement will be a bit higher than what you're used to with Prom-IN. For the whole package you will pay just under and one dose will cost you some . Although it may seem a lot, just compare it with other supplements from this category.
Rich Piana Real Food Carbs + Protein, which we have also reviewed, comes out to for 1800g, which is even more expensive per dose. Plus, you'll also find ingredients like oatmeal in there, which are even less expensive. If you want the best, Pentha Pro Complete is the obvious choice.
Final assessment
I was really looking forward to Pentha Pro Complete and I was definitely not disappointed. To be honest, I was expecting slightly better flavors, however, this is of course offset by the good ingredients. If you're expecting a flavor perfect product, you'll definitely be disappointed, but in terms of ingredients you won't find a better product in this category.
