Powerlogy Brain Focus - an interesting formula that doesn't work? (review)

The main topic of this review will be a dietary supplement from the Powerlogy brand with the punchy name Brain Focus. As the name suggests, it is a smart drug or if you want a so-called nootropic. We have already covered these in detail in the article The best smart drugs and also in a separate ranking. Simply put, these are biochemically active substances that are supposed to have a positive effect on brain function and theto effectively kick-start our minds, delay fatigue or improve memory and concentration.
Although I don't have a completely positive attitude towards such dietary supplements and my previous experience...I almost never refuse to try them. I am always waiting for a product that finally lives up to all the fantastic effects that their manufacturers are so fond of promising. So what do you think? Did Brain Focus succeed? Does it really work as well as the Powerlogy brand pretends or is it just empty talk? Find out the answers to these questions below.

Ingredients that could theoretically work

In terms of ingredients, Brain Focus boasts a total of 11 natural substances. It is these substances in the proportions they are contained in this supplement that, according to the manufacturer, should guarantee comprehensive nutrition and optimization of brain performance. It is a purely vegan product without any caffeine. So what are the ingredients and what are the quantities of these ingredients in two Brain Focus capsules?

  • 96 mg Phosphatidylserine 70%, which is a phospholipid naturally produced in the body found in the cell membranes of neurons. It positively affects short-term memory and exercise performance. It also helps with attention disorders or depression and, among other things, slows cognitive decline during ageing.
  • 40 mg of Gingko biloba extract 26/4, mainly used for blood circulation and improvement of blood circulation. In addition, it also delays the feeling of fatigue and has a positive effect on the activity of brain cells.
  • 120 mg of Acetyl L-Carnitine, it is the purest bioactive form of carnitine, which is more easily absorbed from the intestines, unlike regular carnitine. One of its many benefits, besides improving blood circulation and increasing concentration, is to support recovery and cognitive function.
  • 10 mg of Huperzine A 1%, this is a very interesting substance that is obtained by extraction from a plant called Chinese moss. It is mainly used in traditional Chinese medicine and is supposed to improve memory and concentration, among other things.
  • The 150 mg of Bakoba minor leaf extract 50% is another rather interesting choice. This is one of the plants that are very often used in traditional Indian Ayurvedic medicine. It is most often used in connection with improving memory and learning abilities.
  • 200 mg of N-Acetyl L-Tyrosine to support concentration, alertness, memory or mood. It is a modified amino acid that, in addition to the benefits mentioned, also aids in the absorption of tyrosine itself.
  • 80 mg of L-Theanine 98%, which, like most of the substances mentioned above, supports cognitive function and alertness. Naturally found in green tea, it also calms the body and induces a sense of relaxation, among other things.
  • 160 mg of Vilcacora extract 5:1 or, if you prefer, cat's claw, as this sacred herb of the ancient Incas is called. Its best known benefits include protection against inflammation, strengthening immune defences, inhibiting premature ageing and antioxidant properties.
  • 8.2 mg of vitamin B6, a group of six water-soluble pyridine compounds in total. They are especially important for the formation of red blood cells and hemoglobin. In addition, they also reduce the risk of heart disease and have a positive effect on mood and the functioning of the nervous system.
  • 4 µg of vitamin B12, which is a water-soluble vitamin, and in addition to supporting the immune system, mental state, concentration and traalso reduces the risk of heart disease and ensures proper functioning of the cardiovascular system.

Problematic effect and dosage

Although the composition of Brain Focus is very promising and, in addition to the regularly occurring substances, there are also some interestinginteresting "pearls", its effectiveness is not as great and visible as it should be and as I would like it to be. The manufacturer states that it is necessary to undergo the so-called "treatment" to feel the effect significantly. The initial cure, where you take a total of 2 capsules twice a day for at least two weeks. However, with a 60 capsule pack size, this cure comes out to 56 capsules in total. So I would definitely not call it an initial one.
In addition, however, the manufacturer states as the optimal dosage 1 capsule three times a day before meals. Over time, you should discontinue use for at least a week or take Brain Focus every other day. Since I would have almost no capsules left after the so-called initial two-week course, I ended up taking the stated 4 capsules a day for only one week. After that, I took only 1 to 3 capsules and alternated between one and seven days depending on the severity of the days.
But unfortunately the result was quite disappointing. Of course, I understand that the effectiveness of similar products is as much as their dosage is very individual and that it takes a while for any effects to take effect. Even as I write this review, however, I am not experiencing any.
I'm concentrating more or less the same as before, and even though the exam I took during the alreadystudying for Brain Focus, I would not give it credit for that. In fact, it was during the days I was using it that I felt more tired than ever. But of course I don't want to say that it was the fault of this supplement. I'm just trying to demonstrate that I didn't feel its effects at all during the whole period of taking it and even for a long time afterwards.

Affordability

Powerlogy Brain Focus can currently be purchased on the manufacturer's official website for . The 60-capsule package packs a total of 30 doses in it. One dose of 2 capsules will cost you less than . The price is basically the same as Neurohacker Manifesto from Brainmax, which is the second best supplement from the group of smart drugs in our ranking.
It is thus a relatively high price, which, together with the unproven effect of Brain Focus, makes thea rather problematic supplement that is probably not entirely worth investing in.

Final verdict

Due to the invisible effect, I unfortunately have to end this review rather negatively. Although Powerlogy Brain Focus offers a very interesting formula full of substances with long proven positive effectsI felt virtually no effects during the entire period of use or afterwards. However, I would not completely dismiss this supplement.
Thanks to the very interesting composition, it may well happen that it will have a much greater effect on you than on me. Brain Focus is definitely worth a try. But if it were up to me, I would rather invest my money in the aforementioned Neurohacker Manifesto. This one, in fact, apart from its interesting composition, also delivered the effect promised by the manufacturer.
