Ghee, sometimes referred to as clarified butter, experienced an upsurge ofyears ago, there was a huge boom within the healthy lifestyle community. And it has to be said, rightly so, because as we wrote in our separate comparison of butter and ghee, clarified butter actually has some major advantages over regular butter. However, it is certainly not the case that the quality is comparable across products - on the contrary, some butters are significantly better than others.
Content of the review
In this review, we have therefore decided to introduce you to the transfused butter from Powerlogy, which of course takes care when makingThis has already been reflected in many of the previous positive reviews we have done of this manufacturer. For example, take a look at our review of Powerlogy Trio Granola or Powerlogy Organic Coffee. But now on to today's topic.
What is Organic Ghee anyway?
First of all, as usual in our reviews, we should focus on the ingredients of this product. This ghee comes from really premium milk that comes from cows grazing on grass. After all, this is why this butter has the prestigious German DEMETER certification and is 100% lactose-free, casein-free and water-free, for which a triple filtration process has been used. As a result, you don't even need to store Ghee in the fridge and it should last for several long months anyway. In the composition of this product you will find only milk fat, which clearly shows that in the nutritional tableThe only macronutrient represented in the nutritional table is fat, which makes up 99,9 % of the product.
What are the uses of Organic Ghee?
What is particularly great about Ghee is its versatile use. It can be used in exactly the same way as traditional butter, for both direct consumption and, for example, on your preferred roastWe have written about them in our comparison of the best granolas, for example. If you are a fan of bulletproof coffee, you can also use ghee instead of the classic butter. At the same time, ghee can also be used safely in baking and cooking up to temperatures of 250 °C due to its relatively high smoke point.
How do we rate it?
Taste-wise, ghee is quite strong, but the taste is very mild and as it has no strong aftertaste, it works well for both cooking andin a variety of non-baked recipes and tastes good also with the aforementioned pastries or perhaps in some home-made porridges. We have to appreciate that in the reviews directly on the official website of the seller you also GHEE has found its fans, so we are far from being the only ones who rate it positively.
What do we say about the price?
GHEE is sold in a 320 gram pack, which is obviously a bit more than a standard cube of butter. In addition, you have to take into account the fact that the production of clarified butter evaporatesThe excess water, protein and other substances are removed, which of course results in a change in weight. You may therefore have a slightly lower consumption of ghee than with conventional butter. At the time of writing this review you will pay 399 crowns for one ghee, which we think is a very nice price considering how long it can last you.
Final assessment.
The ghee is admittedly not a product that is difficult to make at home, for example. But the problem is that if you're already going to be basing your production on a lesser quality the final ghee won't be that great either. And that's taken care of with Powerlogy's ghee, so you can count on buying a premium quality product. And that makes perfect sense for us. We therefore definitely recommend trying it out and rate it very positively in all respects, as do other reviewers (not only) on the official site.
