If you are interested in protein bars, you know that they are often a very good substitute for unhealthy bars from the supermarket. But usually these bars have two shortcomings - they either contain quite a lot of simple sugars and other additivesor they taste really bad, so you often have trouble finishing the bar. In the worst case, it's both.
But when I tried the ONE bars, I completely changed my mind. So what were they like? Did I like the flavours? Do they have good ingredients that even athletes on a diet will appreciate? Find out the answers to these and many other questions in today's review.
Content of the review
At the beginning, all that is left to add is that ONE bars are available in 18 different flavours, from which everyone can choose. I have tried several of them, so you can look forward to a comparison with other brands, as well as with each other between flavours in the review.

Finally, a protein bar with the absolute minimum of sugars!
From my perspective, the ONE protein bar has several distinct benefits that are worth mentioning:
- Quality protein source - A very common shortcoming of protein bars is the use of poor quality protein sources-for example, calcium caseinate. However, in the ONE protein bar you will find a combination of whey protein isolate and milk proteinmilk isolate, two highly usable proteins, each of which is released for different lengths of time.
- Almost 10g of fiber per serving - Fiber is a very important component of ourour food, but manufacturers usually don't bother to use it. But in an ONE bar you will find almost 10g of prebiotic fibre of plant origin.
- Only 1g of simple sugars - The low content of simple sugars is something that is especially appreciated by athletes following a strict diet. Often the amount of sugars is the most important criterion for them. And there are bars where the manufacturers have definitely not skimped on the sugar and glucose-fructose syrup.
A slight disadvantage for some may be the palm or palm-oil content, which in my opinion, doesn't really belong in a good quality protein bar. Firstly, it is a source of saturated fat, which is considered to be a cause of civilisation diseases, but also it is an extremely cheap raw material that contributes to the deforestation of the rainforest.
Possibly the tastiest bar I've tried so far
Honestly, the ONE bar is the most delicious bar I've tasted so far. And I dare say I've tried quite a few different bars from different manufacturers. I'm sure it will please anyone who doesn't like bars with "powdery" consistency, such as the Pure Bar from Prom-IN, which we also reviewed. While I haven't tried all 18 flavors yet, with the ones that I have tasted so far, I have been extremely satisfied and my expectations have always been met 100%. Specifically, these flavors were:
- Cookies&Cream really surprised me thanks to its soft consistency, it contained whole pieces and really reminded me of cookies with its slightly creamy taste. It wasn't unnecessarily over-sweetened and the white chocolate on the surface made the final taste really good.
- The chocolate birthday cake was also very good in taste, except for the white chocolatechocolate on the surface, the bar was also sprinkled with different coloured decorations, so it looked really good. I've tried the birthday cake flavour from many manufacturers, either as a protein or directly as a protein bar, but only ONE really caught my eye.
- Blueberry cobbler was perhaps the best flavor ever available. I usually try to avoid fruity flavors, as many reviewers complain about the artificial taste (in the case of ONE, for example, it's the "lemon tart"), however, this time the blueberry flavour was distinct, felt natural and wasn't extremely sweet, which suited me perfectly. It was also soft and very easy to bite.
- Maple Glazed Donut is a flavour that made the addition of powdered milk quite noticeable. However, I didn't mind this at all as the flavour, like the others, seemed natural. Unfortunately, I found it to be slightly sweeter compared to the other variants.
High price, which spoils the overall impression
The main disadvantage of ONE bars is the high price, as you pay nearly for one. For comparison's sake, it's worth saying that in our comparison of the best protein barsIn addition to ONE, we also included products that cost less, which is a really noticeable difference.
Of course, it depends on the frequency with which you consume the bars. If you're looking for a once-a-week diet rescue that you'll really enjoy and won't be craving anything sweet for long, this is a good choice. If you use protein bars as a daily snack and don't mind a few extra grams of carbs, I'd definitely go with a cheaper alternative.
Final evaluation
I think that ONE bars are definitely one of the best products in their category. The ingredients are very good (if we ignore the palm oil), the taste is absolutely fabulous, which is not only my opinion, but the vast majority of reviewers on other web portals agree. But unfortunately you have to be willing to invest relatively a lot of money in the bar. So as an occasional diet rescue, I can definitely recommend it, but as a daily snack, it's probably not worth it.
