Since 2010, Quest Nutrition has been producing these legendary protein delicacies and at the unveiling of the latestThe latest flavours have some enthusiasts waiting as much as mere mortals for a new iPhone.
Since these are arguably the most popular bars ever, I decided to review them separately. So are they worth buying? Which flavors are the best and which ones suck? Are there better alternatives? All this and much more you will find out in today's review.
Content of the review
At the beginning it would be good to mention that this protein bar hasalso ranks very well in our independent testtesting of protein bars, so if you are more interested in comparing Quest bars with the competition, be sure to visit the ranking.

Ingredients that catch the eye
The thing that first caught my eye about the Quest bar is the fantastic ingredients. It is based on a protein complex, which consists of milk proteinmilk protein isolate and whey protein isolate, two very usable sources of protein. I definitely consider this a great advantage, because nowadays a large part of the protein used incalcium caseins and similar inferior substances, of which only the bare minimum is used.
The other ingredients vary depending on the flavour you choose, but in most in most cases, you'll also find almonds, corn prebiotic fiber, and sea salt in a Quest protein bar. Personally, I also see it as a big positive that the flavors are not just different from each other by the use of flavor, but actually contain real ingredients - in the case ofChocolate/Peanut Butter flavor you will find real peanuts in the bar, Cinnamon Roll flavor has cinnamon, etc.
A minor drawback from my point of view is the palm oil content, which is in almost all the flavours. After all, we are not talking about a "commercial" bar for from a supermarket somewhere, but about a product that costs more than three times as much and is also presented as healthy.

A taste like no other
Now we finally come to the point that most of you are probably most interested in. Yes, the taste of "Questek" is indeed as good as they say.
There's no point in kidding yourself about how they'll make you have a taste orgasm and you'll never want to taste normal supermarket bars again, that's for sure. But considering the premium protein content and other quality ingredients, the taste is really satisfying.

I have personally tried these flavours:
- Cookies n' cream (9/10), which I really liked, the whole cookie pieces in the bar are really interesting. The taste of cookies n' cream reminded me of Oreo cookies, but much less sweet. So I give it 9 out of 10.
- Maple Wafle (8/10) was also very good, but it didn't impress me as much as the previous one. I especially appreciated the liquid syrup, which gave it a specific taste. The downside, however, is that at higher temperatures the syrup completely melts all over, which makes eating the bar difficult. Still, I give this bar 8 out of 10 points.
- Chocolate chip cookie dough (9/10) was a little dryer, but the crunchy chocolate chips make the bar really enjoyable. I rate it 9 out of 10.
Inappropriate price
If there's anything besides palm oil that makes my overall impression of Quest bars worse, it's the exorbitant price.
While these bars suit me in pretty much every way - from the stiffer consistency to myto my sweet taste, almost per bar seems excessive.
When can I use Quest Bar?
As we mentioned in our article on the ideal time to take a protein bar, these products are best taken after exerciseexercise, when you get a sweet tooth, or perhaps when you need a higher caloric intake.
From my own experience , I recommend protein bars especially when you need to maintain a higherhigher protein intake, but you have only limited dietary options (hiking trips, car trips,...).

Final evaluation
If I had to give a quick and brief evaluation of the Quest Bar, I would say that it has met my expectations.expectations and combines a good formula with an even better taste. Apart from the palm oil, no poor quality ingredients were used, but because of the high price, Quest Bars will not get a regular place in my diet.
As far as suitable alternatives to Quest Bars are concerned, for example Prom-IN Essential Pure Bar comes out better in terms of quality of ingredients and Zero Bar from Biotech has no competition in terms of value for money. Both of these bars ranked high in our protein bar testingso if you're looking for the best bar, our ranking will give you inspiration.
