In a sea of all sorts of supplement manufacturers trying to get the lowest possible price forcost to produce a supplement that will sell well to naive athletes, there are dozens. But there are also those who are really focused on quality and are not afraid to price their product accordingly. One such company is Reflex Nutrition, whose products regularly rank at the top of our supplement testing.
This time we decided to check out Instant Whey Pro to find out whether this protein is also one of the top in its category or whether it is just a waste of money. So is it worth it? That's what you'll find out today.
Content of the review
For the sake of completeness, it remains to add that I have tested the product in five differentvanilla, chocolate, strawberry & raspberry, banana and salted peanut caramel. So in today's review, I will not only evaluate the product in comparison to the competition, but also the individual variants against each other.

Absolutely top-notch ingredients even for a top athlete
I would start with the most important aspect, because the ingredients are the main reason why I would invest in Instant Whey Pro.
- Firstly, the protein source is native whey isolate, which does not go beyond the cow's milk during the manufacturing process10°C and therefore retains all the important bioactive fractions (beta-lactoglobulin, alpha-actalbumin and others). In addition, the product contains ultra-filtered whey protein and milk protein concentrate.
- Secondly, in this protein you will find 2 billion probiotic cultures, 50mg of digestive enzymes (specifically amylase, protease, cellulase, lactase and lipase) per dose.
- Thirdly, the whole protein is further enriched with free glutamine and peptide-bonded glutamine, two perfectly usable forms of this amino acid.
In the end, you have a protein that is perfectly digestible, has an unrivalled amino acid profile and contains XY benefits.important fractions that have a profound effect not only on building muscle mass, but on the overall health and vitality of every person.
Even when it comes to added substances, Instant Whey Pro (thankfully) has nothing to boast about. The overall impression is spoiled perhaps only by the use of thickeners and flavour enhancers, which from my point of view have nothing to do in a protein of this price category and especially of this quality. But you won't find here any poorly used proteins, controversial aspartame, anti-caking agents, stabilizers or other ingredients with no use.
A taste that will not please every athlete
As I mentioned in the introduction, I tried 5 different flavours of this protein. And I have to say right off the bat that none of the variants pleased me much. The flavors didn't taste artificial, but on the other hand, they were also artificial when using "only" 250ml of water (which is less than I use whenreviewing other proteins) very bland and the declared flavour was in some cases very hard to detect at all.
- Salted Peanut Caramel (6/10) - Do you know what peanut butter tastes like? Distinct aroma, specific but for me delicious taste, creamy consistency. That's exactly what this protein was not. The flavor was bland and if I didn't know what flavor it was, peanut butter definitely wouldn't have been my first thought. So I rate it 6 out of 10.
- Vanilla (6.5/10) - Even the vanilla flavor wasn't what I was expecting. Again, it seemed bland and although I usually complain about proteins tasting too sweet, Instant whey protein could definitely use a little extra sweetener. So I give it 6.5 out of 10.
- Chocolate (7.5/10) - The chocolate flavor was already a bit better. It was stronger, fuller, and reminded me of chocolate pudding. However, if I compare this flavor with, for example, the orgasm-inducing chocolate variant of MPS-5 from Czech Virus, it is incomparable. Still, it was much better than the previous ones, so I give it 7.5 out of 10.
- Raspberry and Strawberry (7.5/10) - Ironically, this was the flavor I was looking forward to the least, because let's face it, chocolatechocolate and vanilla are proven classics that most manufacturers do well and the others are usually a bit worse. In this case, however, it was the opposite, the raspberry and strawberry made a strong, full-bodied impression, their flavor was in comparison to the previousIt was more intense and, like the chocolate version, reminded me of a pudding, but this time a strawberry one. I give it 7.5 points out of 10.
- Banana (6/10) - This flavour was definitely reminiscent of banana, however like the otherch, you definitely can't look forward to a distinct taste experience. If you like unsweetened drinks, you'll probably appreciate the protein. Otherwise, I recommend avoiding it. I rate it 6 out of 10.
So, in the context of flavors, it's worth saying that while this protein is definitely not one of the tastiest...it' s offset by other positive effects that make it worth buying. The taste should come last.
Completely trouble-free solubility
Also, when it comes to solubility, there is nothing to fault the Instant Whey Pro protein. When you dump a scoop into a shaker of water, the protein starts to dissolve on its own, which is not at all typical. Of course, it doesn't dissolve all of it and there are still lumps when stirring with a spoon, so using a shaker is still necessary. However, a few whisks are all it takes to serve the protein.
I used about 250ml of water to prepare it , which later turned out to still be quite a large amount. I therefore recommend using even less water.
Somewhat misleading price
If you buy a two-kilogram pack of Instant Whey Pro, one serving will cost you some . And that's really a very nice price for a product of such quality, don't you think? But there is a catch.
The price is quoted for a 25g dose and the protein contains the same 80% protein as most competing products, whose dosage is higher. This leaves you with two options- take less protein after your workout, or increase theor increase the dosage and expect the protein to become more expensive.
Final assessment
Instant Whey Pro is without a doubt one of the best proteins on the market. The unbeatable composition, purity, quality, plus a relatively decent price to matchIts high quality, which is commensurate with its effects, makes it a product that we can simply and only recommend. But unfortunately you have to get used to the taste, which is not very appealing. No one buys protein for its sake, or at least they shouldn't, but it does get a bit boring after a while.
The fact that quality proteins can taste good is clearly demonstrated by some competitors' products. For example, the above mentioned protein from Czech Virus. Still, I definitely recommend this protein.
