Omega 3 fatty acids are one of the essential supplements and should not be missing in the diet of any athlete. In the common Central European diet, they are represented in a very minimal way, which brings with it a number of negative effects on health. You can read more about this topic in our article Omega 3 under the microscope. In today's review, instead of talking about how omega 3 fatty acids are beneficial, we will focus on one product that can help you solve your omega 3 deficiency. Specifically, it's Reflex Omega 3, which also ranked perfectly in our ranking of the best omega 3 fatty acids.
Content of the review
The Reflex brand needs no introduction. This stalwart on the Czech market is one of the highest quality manufacturers of sports supplements. We can mention for example Reflex Nexgen PRO, which took the first place in our comparison of the best multivitamins.
Pure and high quality ingredients
The basis of every quality supplement is a pure formula without unnecessary additives. Reflex Omega 3 fulfils this, as it contains only 1000 mg of fish oil in addition to the gelatin capsule itself. One capsule therefore contains 330 mg of EPA and 220 mg of DHA. Compared to most competing products, these are great values. This is a huge advantage, as it is not uncommon for some productsmanufacturers offer products with low levels of active ingredients in order to save money. In addition, we have to appreciate that the product does not contain any unnecessary fillers, which can be encountered in some manufacturers. In terms of composition, therefore, we ultimately have nothing to complain about.
Simple dosing
One pack contains a total of 90 capsules. The manufacturer recommends taking three capsules per day. If you follow this procedure, the pack will last you for 30 days, which is quite standard among similar products. In this case, one daily dose contains 990 mg of EPA and 660 mg of DHA. However, if on some days your diet contains higher amounts of of naturally occurring omega-3 fatty acids, you may be able to take fewer capsules. At the same time, it should be emphasized that omega 3 fatty acids should be dosed with food to maximize their utilization.
Excellent value for money
Value for money is one of the most important factors we consider in our reviews. Reflex Omega 3 performs quite well in this respect too. Although they are not among the cheapest products on the market, they have an almost unbeatable price/quality ratio due to their high quality and very pure composition. The price per daily dose is, of course, based on how many capsules you take each day. If for some reason you decide to take, for example, only 2 capsules (perhaps because your diet contains enough omega 3 fatty acids), the resulting price per dose will be reduced. But it is true that if you are looking for a product from a lower price range, Reflex Omega 3 will not be the best choice for you. However, it is questionable whether investing in lower quality supplements is even worth it in the end.
Final assessment
It's no coincidence that Reflex Omega 3 is often referred to as one of the best omega 3 fatty acids on the market. They have a very high quality and above all pure composition. While they are not the cheapest per daily dose, it is fair to say thatgiven the quality of the ingredients mentioned above, the resulting price/quality ratio is really excellent. If you like quality supplements that you can rely on, we can highly recommend Reflex Omega 3.
