Ingredients we have nothing to complain about
SmartFuel's protein bars contain basically only 4 ingredients. The base is extruded rice flour, which gives the finished fritters a beautifully fluffy consistency. The protein source is a sponge cake-flavoured whey concentrate, which containsHowever, the ingredients also include pasteurised powdered egg white and skimmed milk powder. What we do not find here, however, are unnecessary added colours and similar additives. I have to appreciate the fact that the manufacturer has managed to put the ingredients together in such a way that only quality ingredients are included, but that the consistency and taste of the fritters remain absolutely perfect. One serving of fritters contains 161 kcal, 13 g of protein, 21 g of carbohydrates and 0.8 g of fat. The ingredients as a whole must be rated excellent, which is also true of the nutritional values, which are better than most competing products.
Easy and quick to prepare
In addition to the fine-tuned ingredients, the advantage of the pre-mixed pancake mix is that it is extremely easy to prepare. Simply mix 50 g of powder with 150 ml of water or milk and fry the resulting mixture on both sides in a frying pan. The whole preparation therefore only takes a few minutes. One packet contains 6 servings when the recommended dosage is followed, which frankly is not bad at all.
Wonderfully fluffy consistency
If there's one thing we really have to highlight about SmartFuel's Protein Pancakes, it's the great taste and above all the wonderfully fluffy consistency. The taste of the fritters is not overly sweet, yet you can enjoy them without any other ingredients. But if you decide to flavour them with something, you basically have unlimited possibilities, because the taste of fritters goes with almost everything.

And if you'd like to add extra protein to your fritters, enjoy them with cottage cheese, for example. Personally, though, I have to say that I ate most of them on their own, because the taste of the fritters themselves absolutely blew me away.
You have to pay extra for quality ingredients
While so far we've only praised SmartFuel's Protein Fritters, when it comes to price reviews, we have to be a lot more critical. At the time of writing this review, one serving comes out to just under 42 crowns, which is a really high amount compared to the competition. The other products in our comparison of the best protein pancakes are much cheaper and the difference is often really significant. At this point, however, it is fair to mention that the high price is due to the quality of the ingredients and the fact that the manufacturer did not resort to using low-quality ingredients. If we look at the price tag of the product through this lens, it suddenly does not seem so terrible. I even dare to say that the resulting price-quality ratio of SmartFuel Protein Pancakes is one of the best on the market.
Evaluation in conclusion
If you're looking for quality protein pancakes or fritters and you're all about having really honest ingredients and taste great at the same time, you can't go wrong with SmartFuel's Protein Pancakes. Once again, I must highlight their amazingly fluffy consistency, which is unparalleled among similar products. The price is higher, but considering the above, I think it's worth paying extra for these fritters.
