If you read our reviews regularly, you'll know that we don't pay much attention to products from companies like GymBeam. In fact, this is also because we tested their Zeus protein some time ago, which was later found to contain much less protein than the manufacturer declared.
But when we were preparing our comprehensive review of the best pre-workout supplements, we didn't avoid Thor. How does it work? And what about the price/quality ratio? Is its taste at least decent? Find out that and much more in today's review.

At the beginning it remains to add that we also tested this pre-workout for our video review before the thirdning stimulants, so if you are interested in comparison with other products, be sure to watch the video.
Ingredients that won't please, but won't offend either
When I look at the ingredients of Thor Fuel+ Vitargo, my feelings are very mixed. Vitargo itself is a sort of carbohydrate that serves as an energy source to supplement glycogen. Interesting idea. Anyway, if you look at some competing sites, you can get 2000g of this patented carbohydrate for just under £750. No matter how hard I try, I find the use of this substance as a way to fill a spot in the formula while not spending money unnecessarily. Even though I tried Vitargo in this supplement for the first time, I didn't notice any extreme effect in my workout composition. Otherwise, though, the ingredients used are of high quality and we can break them down in more detail:
- 4000mg of beta alanine to support muscular endurance and stamina
- 2600mg citrulline DL-malate 1:1 for increased energy production, greater endurance and delayed fatigue
- 1400mg A-AKG to increase nitric oxide production
- 700mg taurine for improved performance and recovery support
- 400mg glycerol monostearate to increase extracellular fluid volume
- 300mg bitter orange for improved metabolic function
- 300mg caffeine for positive CNS stimulation
- 200mg of Siberian Ginseng for improved endurance and CNS function
- 70mg niacin for improved joint mobility
Thor obviously relies heavily on ingredients that somehow manifest themselves externally. Caffeine causes sweating, beta alanine causes itchy ears. You don't feel the effect of citrulline this aggressively, but it still has merit. So from my point of view, this is a formula that neither offends nor pleases.
Compared to the competition, the effect is considerably lacking
Although I've tried dozens of pre-workouts, most of them register some effect. With the Thor, the pumping was really minimal. Probably due to the combination of the active ingredients with Vitarg, I registered a greater veining, but I definitely can't say that it helped me maximize my training efforts.
Of course, I felt my ears burning and I even sweated a lot thanks to the large amount of caffeine, but unfortunately that's about it. If I were to compare the pump up when using such a Serious Pre and Thor, it's like comparing a non-natural and natural exerciser.
Multivitamin juice without calories
If I had to describe the taste of Thor in just four words, I'd probably say it's a multivitamin juice without the calories. I tried the Mango and Maracuja variant and I have to admit that taste-wise, it was one of the best supplements I've ever tasted.
The smell is a bit artificial, but taste-wise, the supplement is not overpowering, unnecessarily sweet and doesn't even feel artificial in any way. It's definitely a nice change from the Aggressive Pre type supplements, which are very intense and pungent, and therefore require the use of more water. So I rate the Mango and Maracuja variant 9 out of 10.
One of the most affordable supplements on the market
If there is something else besides the good taste that I have to appreciate about Thor, it is definitely the great price. Considering that the whole 600g pack comes out to some , one dose corresponds to about .
Compared to Agrezz, which has become the winner of our big comparison, it's roughly 3 times lower, which makes Thor a really ideal supplement in terms of value for money. So if you are, for example, a student who doesn't want to invest your hard-earned money in supplements, Thor is a very good compromise.
Final evaluation
In my opinion, as you probably expected, the formula has some flaws and I think there are a number of supplements that are much, much better. Also, the effect wasn't who knows what, on the other hand when you take into account that it's a pre-workout for , the effectiveness is relatively good.
Ultimately, it is a supplement that you will enjoy, it will not ruin your budget and you will notice some positive effect. Personally, however, I think that for those of you who want to squeeze the most out of your workouts, there are definitely better options.
