At the very beginning, it is worth adding that these products were provided to us for review by the GymBeam eshop, which has already provided us with Shred!t by Lišák, which we reviewed in the past. However, even sending us the package does not prevent us from remaining completely objective and reviewing the product independently.
Complete composition in BIO quality
If you are familiar with the label "shot", which is commonly used in English, you should know that it refers todenotes typically quite flavour-intensive drinks with a small volume, so you can manage to drink them in one or two sips. And that's exactly what VanaVita's BIO shots are, with a volume of only 60 ml. However, these products are particularly specific because they contain all ingredients in organic quality - for an idea, they are suitable for to say that we got to try the mango shot with chilli and turmeric and the ginger shot with aronia. These products have the following ingredients:
- Mango shot: Organic mango puree (57%), Organic orange juice from concentrate, Organic lemon juice from concentrate, Organic lemon juice from concentrate. juice from concentrate, ORGANIC turmeric root powder (0,4 %), ORGANIC chilli powder (0,2 %)
- Ginger shot: Organic grape juice from concentrate, Organic ginger juice (30%), Organic aronia juice (20%) from concentrate, ORGANIC raspberry juice from concentrate.
And that, in short, is a composition that we have absolutely nothing to complain about. The great thing, which we think should be the standard, is that the ingredients are of organic quality, becausein practice, this means that no genetically modified ingredients, preservatives, sweeteners or other additives have been used.
What are the benefits?
Sure, if you read the previous paragraph, you may be critically asking yourself what compared to, say, a fruit juice. And that's why it's worth pointing out that the benefits of these shots can be several. Firstly, the shots contain very high quality organic ingredients. Secondly, they offer a smaller volume, so you can either dilute them with, for example, water according to your own preferences, or drink them as they are. This is also associated with fewer calories compared to, for example, a large glass of juice. And thirdly, they can be poured over warm water, which offers a very good alternative to the classic teas that come in handy in winter.
How to use them?
You can use VanaVita's organic shots in several ways. Probably the most practical is to take them with you in your backpack, shake them before consumption and then drink them wherever you are going. If you have more time and it's freezing outside, you can just shake the contents of the bottle into a cup and pour warm water over it to make a great tea. If the intense flavour of the shots alone is not enough, you can add a little honey or a few drops of lemon in addition to the hot water. However, no flavouring is necessary.
How do they taste?
In addition to the practical properties of the product, we should of course also pay attention to the taste. We have to admit that we were absolutely thrilled because the taste of both kinds of shots is absolutely fantastic. Especially worth mentioning is the mango shot, which offers a mild and pleasantly sweet taste that is more thanAfter finishing the bottle, it has a subtle spicy-hot sensation in the throat, which we owe to the combination of chilli and turmeric. The ginger shot is a little harsher in taste, but generally similar characteristics can be applied to it.
How do they work?
Unfortunately, nowhere on the label of the shots can you read about the content of the individual active ingredients (mandatory macronutrient content is, of course, part of the label as well as the nutritional table on the shop), which is a bit of a shame for us. However, since both are fruit products, you can count on the fact thatthat they contain a range of vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and other important nutrients. The composition is of course not as extensive as in the case of some of our best multivitamins on the market, but it is a 100% natural product.
Is it worth it?
If there is anything that surprised us about these shots, it is definitely the relatively long shelf life that the products have despite the absence of any artificial preservatives. For example, the products we received still had a shelf life of about 11 months. However, considering that one bottle costs nearly 50 crowns, you must be wondering if these shots are worth it at all. And our answer is that they definitely do, but...
