Vayu Final Protein: the absolute top of the protein market?

The German brand Vayu has been on the Czech market for a while now and I have to say that I have become a big fan of theirs in that time. I have tested a lot of products from them in that time (you will find reviews of many of them here in the future) and in terms of functionality, quality, taste, shortall the important aspects, I have always been impressed by how good a manufacturer they actually are. On the other hand, this is also reflected in the price of their products, which are very often higher than we are used to. The only thing I can say is that you just have to pay for quality.
Let's now take a look at the actual review of the best protein they offer.

Pure ingredients without a single flaw

Since this is a pure whey protein, the first place in the ingredients is of course the source of the rawprotein, which in this case is represented by a branded, extremely high-quality whey isolate called Isolac. This is produced as far away as Ireland, and its purity and exceptional quality make it a real cut above the rest. This whey isolate is of course processed using the most gentle CFM method, whichwhich preserves all the health benefits and bioactive fractions. At the same time, it is almost lactose-free.

The product contains 50% Isolac, and the other 50% is represented by another, equally high-quality whey protein called Optipep90. Here again it is a branded, patented raw material from an Irish manufacturer and in this case it is the purest hydrolysed whey isolatethat begins to be absorbed into the muscles almost immediately, ensuring an immediate supply of amino acids and accelerated muscle recovery. It is completely lactose-free and thanks to the hydrolysis of the protein, even minimal digestive problems do not arise after consumption.

In order to create one of the purest proteins on the market, the manufacturer of Vay decided not to use any dyes at all, which is a great rarity nowadays. This bold move definitely earned him plus points from me.
However, it is understandable that flavourings are included in the protein. Whether we want it or not, taste is one of the most important parameters on which customers choose proteins. After all, everybody wants to enjoy the taste at the end of a hard diet, right? The manufacturer does not state whether the flavours used are artificial or natural, so I assume that artificial flavours have been used.

For even better utilization and cleavage of the protein, a small amount of the digestive enzyme Bromelain is included in the formula, which occurs naturally in nature, mainly in pineapple, and helps our bodies to digest protein efficiently and use it better. Lastly, the protein is sweetened with sucralose, which is the absolute standard these days. I would certainly appreciate the use of stevia, even for only partial sweetening, but as far as sucralose is concerned I can't fault it. In many years of testing I have not had the slightest problem with it and I do not take it as a negative.

Unprecedented nutritional value of the protein

The perfect nutritional values of the protein are the main reason why, in my opinion, this protein is the most suitable for the diet. When we look at the total caloric value of the protein, it does not even exceed 350 kcal for all flavours, which in itself is very unique. Not many (practically no) protein reaches such a small caloric value per 100g of product.

If we take for example the cranberry flavour I tested, it contains a king-sized amount of protein per 100g of product.sic 83g of protein, which is a very high value that will please any exerciser. At the same time, there is only 1g of fat and 1g of carbohydrates per 100g of protein, which is an absolutely negligible amount. It can be said that when you consume it, you only get pure, high-quality protein into you.

The taste of the protein does not offend or delight

Thanks to Kulturistika.com, I had the opportunity to try two flavors of Final Protein, milk chocolate and cranberry.For being such a pure protein with minimal fats and carbs, I was impressed with the pleasant milky taste of both variants. You can enjoy this protein to the very end of a hard diet without regrets and believe me, you will like it more and more every day.

• Milk Chocolate (8/10) - it really stood up to the taste. Unfortunately, I personally am not a fan of milk chocolate. I much prefer dark chocolate, so I wasn't too impressed with this flavor and will giveit only 8 points, however, I would compare it to the granola you normally buy in the store. Therefore, I think most regular people will absolutely love this flavor and literally worship it without hesitation. If you like granko or classic chalkboard milk chocolate, you will love this flavor.
• Cranberry (6/10) - I was very disappointed after the very first taste because I could taste virtually no flavor. All I could identify was a strange but pleasant milky undertone, which was accompanied by a very faint fruity aftertaste. However, the longer I consumed the protein the more I got used to the flavour and afterI could detect a certain fruity aftertaste, which probably represents cranberry. This flavour is not something that one would outright enjoy, but in the final analysis it is not bad at all, for me it is just very underwhelming. The big plus is that you definitely won't overdrink it.

Perfect solubility, even better digestibility and minimal foam

When mixing the protein in water I followed the manufacturer's instructions, 30g of protein per 300ml of water, which Ishaken in a shaker for 5 seconds, the resulting drink had a perfect milky consistency. There was no foam, no lumps at all and the drink was ready to consume immediately. I did not experience any indigestion after consumption either , which I did not expect.At this stage I was convinced that this was indeed the highest possible quality, as I personally I'm very sensitive to digestion and I know all sorts of substitutes or poor quality ingredients, so I was absolutely delighted here.

When is the best time to use protein?

Final Protein by Vayu contains very easily and extremely fast absorbable protein, so it is an ideal choice especially after a workout.However, it can be used at any time of the day, but you have to take into account that it probably won't fill you up too much (unless you combine it with another food). For this purpose I would recommend another protein that contains micellar casein for example.You can conveniently mix the protein in oatmeal, yogurt, cottage cheese, or you can just mix it with water or milk in a shaker. In all cases, you will enjoy it perfectly.

Much higher price than I expected

I'm almost certain that the big downside for a lot of people will be the much higher price of protein than we're used to. You can only get the protein in an 800g pack and for a whopping 949,- on the bodyburistika.com e shop. This is roughly 35,- per serving, which is indeed the most expensive protein I have reviewed in many years, so don't be surprised if you are put off by the price.

For comparison, one dose of high quality native whey isolate BiotechUSA Iso Whey Zero costs . On the other hand, I understand the high price of Final Protein. When I see such a pure quality composition of protein, where the raw materials are imported from Ireland itself, the price is very high. At the same time, the current covid times are also to blame for this rapidly high price, because I remember that a year ago I could buy Final Protein for about cheaper.

Final evaluation

So is it worth investing in Final Protein from Vayu? I really want to say yes, because it is one of the best quality proteins I have tried in a long time. Unfortunately, considering its huge price tag, I have to say no.Although I enjoyed testing the protein, although its taste was great, it reliably was put off by the price and I'm sorry to say that because of this one factor, I will never buy protein again in the future.

If you don't have the slightest problem paying extra for quality, then definitely don't go with this protein.but unfortunately I know that for the vast majority of people this price is too high.My overall feeling about the product is very mixed. I've become a big fan of it and I personally love the German brand Vaya, so I'm sorry to have to lean towards the opinion that there's not a lot to like about theThere are plenty of much better options on the Czech market in terms of price/performance ratio and it's probably best to reach for an alternative.
