Although most people do not consider vitamin D supplementation to be important, it is definitely not something to take lightly. As mentioned in the introduction, during the winter months the human body cannot produce it on its own and we are therefore dependent on dietary intake. Vitamin D deficiency is associated with a large number of health problems - osteoporosis, or thinning of the bones, is the most common.
There is nothing to fault with the composition
Vilgain Vitamin D3 + K2 is sold in liquid form, so both active ingredients are dissolved in MCT coconut oil. As for the active ingredients themselves, the manufacturer has relied on the proven combination of vitamins D3 and K2. It is also important to mention that vitamin K2 is contained here in the MK-7 subtype, which thanks to its longer half-lifehalf-life (compared to other subtypes of vitamin K2), it works much more effectively in the body and does not need to be supplemented as often. Therefore, the composition is really nothing to complain about and we must appreciate both the choice of individual substances and their overall quality. In one dose of Vitamin D3 + K2 by Vilgain we find 1,000 IU of vitamin D3 and 50 μg of vitamin K2, which is very good in both cases.
Easy to take thanks to the pharmaceutical-grade dosing device
The manufacturer recommends taking two drops (about 0.2 ml) per day. In this case, one pack will last you about 150 days, which I consider more than enough. I must highlight the dispenser with which the bottle is equipped, thanks to which you will have no problem with measuring the doses. The recommended dose will safely cover the daily requirement of vitamin D3. In the case of vitamin K2, two drops of the solution contain about two-thirds of the recommended daily dose, but that's plenty enough because vitamin K2 is not that hard to get from the diet.
Fair price
At the time of writing this review, you will pay 249 crowns for one pack containing 150 daily doses. Compared to the competition, this is quite a high price as many products have recommended dosagedaily doses, so in the calculation of one daily dose it comes out cheaper than it looks at first glance. However, it must be said that the difference between Vilgain Vitamin D3 + K2 and the competition is not staggering. Moreover, if we also take into account the overall quality of the product, we have to rate the resulting price-quality ratio as very good.
Final evaluation
Vilgain Vitamin D3 + K2 is a great choice for anyone who needs to supplement vitamin D3 and is looking for a really high quality product for this purpose. While it is not the cheapest product on the market, given its high quality, the higher price is understandable. As a result, we must highly recommend this supplement.
